It's 50% slower in AC:Odyssey and even more in Division 2, I wouldn't call it "slightly", it's like 40 vs 60 FPS. No need to upgrade to RTX 2060, you would be perfectly fine in current gen games (not many left to be honest) with GTX 1060 in 1080p60.

Yeah i didn't played RDR2 (guess why lol) but from the videos i've seen PS4/PS4 Pro and One are a blurry mess. The screenshot is clean and obviously has ULTRA graphics enabled

Watching videos is not the same as actually playing, even if the bitrate is really high... I have the game on a regular PS4 and the game looks just like that picture if not better being as that is a jpg which is lossy and compresses a ton (watch the fog by the river), framerates are garbage though.

That picture is 1080p by the way, doubt it's standard console... most likely Pro version of a console and scaled to 1080p, that's why it looks stunning.

Why i have the feeling that this screenshot was captured on PC.

The game on console is beautiful but this screenshot doesn't look the same as the consoles. There's no blur and that smoke is too taxing for the PS4/One

Difficult to match the framing and conditions, but it looks pretty close to me. Full album here. 15 Screens.

They may have toned down the particle effects, but nothing tells you this pic wasn't taken at like 10 FPS lol. Some debugging (and even screenshotting I bet) in games can be done at very low framerates. Screenshotting because they can (not necessarily!) crank up the settings, debugging due to all the logging and stuff.

Yea that aint a PC bullshot lol. The smoke around the wheels might be a little fudged up but the rest, no.

I remember hearing, after GTA V released, that when they announced it, in October 2011 the game was running really poorly. The trailer we saw in November, and the early screens were taken from a build that looked great but probably ran at like 5-10 fps.No idea if that were actually true, but it's common regardless. games look great before being optimised to run at a stable frame rate.

Those shots were probably took in the alpha or beta version, I bet it ran at 10 fps like the beta GTAV did lol

Edit: giving a better look at the shot took by Len Lfc you can tell the original screenshot was took in the beta version because the terrain under the bridge is completely different, the new version is flat the original is not.

There's a lot of changes. The telephone poles aren't even there in the beta.

Oh yeah I didn't notice!
I'm not sure those for the telephone tho, by 1880 it was used but mostly in Europe I don't know about America tho I'll do some research.

It's true. It was clearly mentioned in the leaked log file from the PS3/360 that performance was an issue but it was "fixed" not like streaming which remains trash on old-gen.

At least RDR2 seemed to stick a lot closer to the pre release screenshots, than GTA V. Man, was that disappointing.

I don't think it is dissapointing. Actually, final looks way better than previous two screenshots. Aside from the post-fx, look at the weird face/arms in first two screenshot. It was clearly WIP.

Rockstar's screens are all in-game though, not pre-rendered stuff. They might bump/add some effects but it's still in-game. They're also known for changing the sun position and adding point lights to specific scenes, this is all common stuff in game screenshots overall though. I mean, in real life professional photography you can also have a bunch of studio lights making things look the way you want. ;)

The light that is casting on Michael could be an example of a point light added on purpose yeah. There were more obvious ones during V's original pre-release iirc.

I think I just might end up buying a used Xbox One X around November. I sold my base PS4 back in February(major fail) cause I thought the game would've been released on PC by now and I'm losing patience lmao. Worst case scenario is that the game gets announced for PC shortly after I buy the One X but even then my PC won't be able to run it anywhere close to 4K so I'll still benefit from it. I'm anxious to know what the recommended requirements will be. My goal is to be able to run it on Ultra at 1080p but I'll probably need to upgrade my GPU for that. My RX 570 can barely do that with GTA 5 and that's a 4 year old game.

Pretty sure PC version will be confirmed by November, don't get a console for one game, all xbox games are on PC anyway.

Also next gen consoles are 13 months away from now... don't do it dude.

Waste of money. Especially that tomorrow is the big day (wink wink).
