Maybe it was taken in 4k, scaled down to 1080 to look better? Could be using an internal build too, turn off restrictions for screenshots because you don't need FPS for those

The game actually looks this good, even on base PS4. I know cause I play it daily.

Screenshots are often took on PCs, but it doesn't mean the quality is higher. This GTAV screenshot is the proof, PS3 quality and yet on PC (look on the left, there's the XYZ editor).

That may be true, but MrQuiche has obviously never played RDR2 on either PS4, PS4 Pro or Xbox One X (not counting Xbox One version that is a blurry mess of 1536x864)

 

Game looks this good, it really does.

It does because it's simply developed for current gen hardware, we had this discussion some pages back.
As shocking as it can be, it looks good and I'm not even expecting many differences between this and the PC version honestly (other then performance and tiny detail).

All I'm aiming for is 1080p 60 fps at the same settings as consoles, maybe with less blurry AA method if there is one available.

I feel like Rockstar is gonna make 1440p/4K easier to run so 1080p will be very easy to reach, I'm aiming to 1080p too cause my GPU and monitor can't go further.

Yeah i didn't played RDR2 (guess why lol) but from the videos i've seen PS4/PS4 Pro and One are a blurry mess. The screenshot is clean and obviously has ULTRA graphics enabled

No, PS4 version with sharpening on max looks quite good on 4K TV from a distance, even better on 1080p TV. It's native 1080p so it looks decent.

 

PS4 Pro is one step above with 4,1 million pixels rendered, but Xbox One X is on the top with native 4K (8,3 million pixels) It's only base Xbox One barely pushing 1536x864 (1,3 million pixels) that is blurry.

 

Go borrow your friends console or something and see for yourself, it looks this good. I'm gonna make a screenshot from base PS4 for you later, if I find that post.

I guess you'll be fine as long as you have GTX 1060 or faster GPU.

Well I'm slightly below that, GTX 1050Ti 4GB.
Next GPU will be a RTX 2060 (hopefully Super) or, if I find a job, RTX 2080/2080Ti.
