eh, do you think there will be a pre-download available before the release date?

I think I'll go digital, and it might require a day or so to download.

how was it for GTAV?

Yes, in theory it should be possible, GTA V had more or less a 10-day pre-load before its actual release: https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/204657218/GTAV-PC-Digital-Pre-Load-Information

But why do you have to buy on Rockstar Warehouse while you can buy the retail version with 7-8 DVDs? 😃

Yes, I bought the retail version of GTA V, 7 DVDs intalled... XP feels.

Héhé, because that's 8 DVD, and I don't think I'll ever resale either.

That said, you have the printed map that comes with the box... wut!

do you need the DVD to play when you buy retail? Do you have code so you can either install with the discs or redeem online? Ubisoft is doing this with the license key, that's convenient.

You can download it or install from DVD's.

Ahah, I was joking, buying a PC retail game in 2019 is quite useless... Unless you have a very bad internet connection, that's why I had to pick the retail version coming with 7 DVDs (and the map of course).

Yes, there's a code that is needed to activate your account, of course only usable on Rockstar Warehouse and not on Steam. No need to insert DVDs for playing.

If RDR2 is coming just on the Epic Games Store like some rumors are saying, I'll surely buy it on the Rockstar Warehouse.

Very much!

Licensed Bounty Hunters can pick up work by visiting bounty boards located near law offices, post offices and train stations across the states. There is no shortage of criminals to be dealt with and the targets range in difficulty, from lone low-level criminals to notorious outlaws with armed protection details and a watchful eye. Taking on an armed gang or bringing multiple targets to justice is made easier with the help of a Posse, who will all earn a cut of the final bounty. And keep in mind, bringing in targets alive will yield a greater reward.

Oh wow, such a great anti griefer system.

To be completely honest Rockstar are doing a better job at trying to deter griefing in RDO than in GTAO. Not like that's relevant to this topic tho.

Now that RDO is almost completly out of the way, i'm really starting to be hopeful we get something in the coming weeks

Definetely waiting for the PC version and, possibly, a SP DLC for this game, nothing more. This update, to me, sounds as a classic GTA Online business model forced into RDO, with the only difference that we're not receiving one "business", but instead 3.

I'm just "hyped" for the balancing updates, really... After all this years of GTA Online, I'm sick of losing 100 hours of grinding in an online game to be at the same "level" as other players.

PC version + FiveM for RDR2, that's all I want.

It’s not coming this year! Flat out it’s not happening I was like you hoping for singleplayer dlc then I realized much like GTA 5 after they had announced plans for it years went by and I knew it wasn’t happening.

Seems they put a lot of effort into this one update, has some neat looking features. Wonder if R* is hoping for a positive reception for RDO after this patch (so probably not Sept.10) to then use that as a jump-pad for PC announcement.

I really hope they'll do something similar to what they did with the GTAO heist DLC + PC delay announcement.

What did they do with it? I wasn't paying much attention to GTA V's PC release because I bought a PS3 prior to the intial release in 2013 just to play GTA V and The Last of Us

Ah, I see.

The thing is, if it comes to PC, it definitely must be announced this year for an October release or (most likely) Q1-Q2 2020 release. The holiday period is too crowded, April is when Cyberpunk comes which is hyped as all hell and if they release it in Fall 2020 then the hype will be completely dead because the title isn't as big as GTA V. If we don't see an announcement this year, chances will be very slim that we'll get a PC release at all.

My hopes are that we'll get an announcement for PC (alongside Stadia) soon. Rockstar is a confirmed Google Stadia developer, Stadia launches in November and Google definitely needs big hits for their launch to hype the service.

If you don't know what Stadia is, think of Playstation Now but instead of PS4s, they have PCs running on Linux, so if RDR2 comes to Stadia (which is almost a certainty, along with GTA V), they'd be stupid as hell to make it for Linux and not for Windows as well.

They delayed it three times because of "polishing" you know since they like to grab that polish can and polish the sh*t out of them sharkcards and double/triple dippers.

"Hold your horses PC fans we have to make sure that the donkeys balls are very polished before releasing it,so just sit tight while we throw them lame excuses at you while we make sure you've waited a couple of years minimum so we ensure the maximum profit."

Howdy GTA Forums Community,

The long-awaited PC version for Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely coming in the future, I have datamined Red Dead Redemption 2's files and came across a file that holds PC presets and settings. For those who will doubt this leak, well there are monitor settings too (also attached to this post).

Have a look at the code found in the files. There is more code but most of it is grass quality, shader settings, particle settings, motion blur, etc. DirectX 12 support is coming to the PC port, the PC version will have DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 support. @Fun 2's post a month ago also suggested DirectX 12 support in the RDR2 companion app code so yes it's definitely coming.

What's even the point of keeping back the announcement, we know it exists yet they act like we don't know sh*t. That's frustrating AF

I mean to be fair, all we need is a couple of mentions of PC files and settings to know it was a thing and we had that when the companion app launched.

This is a bit of a much ado about nothing really, we know it's a thing and have done for a while now.
