It's almost 12 Pm in France and Rockstar casually announce that you can pre-order the soundtrack on Vinyl in the warehouse. C'mon it's 12 PM guys, don't you have something better to do than posting tweets. Matrix 4 got announced before RDR2 on PC at this rate even HL4 will be announced

Well I said way back that RDR2 for PC will not be released 2019 but sometime in 2020, many seemed to laugh at my “silly” idea. I still stand by my guess that we will get a PC version for sure but it will not be in 2019, I hope I am wrong but I am quite certain that I am correct.

Can still triple dip with PC version first and then next gen.

It would actually be better for Take-Two to release the next gen versions first then PC. Many of us would be too impatient to wait to play the game at 60fps. Next Gen consoles are coming October-November 2020.

There isn't even a fake PS5 around how can they wait for the next gen for what it will be a 2 years old game by then?

I still can’t see why would Rockstar want to double dip with next gen consoles, by that time(end of 2020) the game will be 2 years old... 

 

RDR2 PC either comes out next year or we won’t see it at all. 
 

And RDR2 for PS5/Xbox(whatever its called) won’t happen imo

I read a quick debrief and I do not see how it is now related.

At this point, I think that it was a big misunderstanding. Also we don't really have any idea of what's going on so who knows.

Someone pointed out that Rockstar partnership with Stadia doesn't remplace them from making their own announcements. See it like this, it's Rockstar that announces that the game is coming on PC and Stadia but not Google. R* likes to have everything in control so i'm pretty sure that they've made this deal just to keep the control in case they need to delay something (which is clearly the case).

Rockstar has a deal with Sony and Microsoft. Probably for a year. This year nothing will happen on other platforms. That includes other partnerships. People hoping for a PC release will probably have to wait until October/November. Nothing will happen before then. I believe that Rockstar has a booth at Gamescom only for image reasons. Not anymore. Just to be there.

Imagine a release in spring 2020, Cyberpunk, Red Dead and Mount&Blade within a few weeks. My PC would explode

Spring 2020 is most likely to be the date of its release. After a delay from Fall/Winter 2019.

Rockstar has a deal with Sony for exclusive online content but no exclusivity of the game for a year has been made with either Sony and Microsoft. When R* makes a deal with Sony/Microsoft, it's only for content exclusivity for few weeks/months.

Only because they finally announced it doesn't mean they're great again as publishers. They might be one of the best in making videogames but I don't know about public relationships.

Nah the second one will only be used if the game is announced this year for also a release this year or it's the first picture. I don't wanna wait a year for an announcement that comes with a release date to only get delayed after. Wating a year for an announcement with a release date that gets delayed, it's basically a year of waiting for nothing.

Won’t happen, there ain’t enough months left in this year for it to happen.
Expect at least a 6 month time period between the announcement and the release date!

I didn't say it would happen but simply if it was the case. Why do you expect 6 months, there's no need for a 6 months wait especially when the announcement has already been delayed internally
