Also, Geoff Keighley has posted the list of premieres for Gamescom. No Take-Two directly but some of their labels like 2K and Priviate Division. Epic Games has announcements too.

An object of speculation is that Google Stadia is at Gamescom to show premieres and they had that teaser image of western stuff like cowboy hats, cacti, saloon doors, etc. So who knows what could happen, could have a Stadia announcement together with a PC announcement

We expected something like this at E3... And we got nothing. I know it's time but I won't rather tend my hype to the upcoming events / Cons.

I'm not saying to expect something, I'm throwing something into the air. People's fault if they get super hyped when they should be cautious!

I wonder what else Stadia's teaser could mean. If it's just some generic, lightweight cowboy game they use to show off their stream quality then I'm gonna scream.

I still think RDR2 will repeat it's marketing even for the PC version and eventually (maybe) SP DLC. I don't see Rockstar changing it, unless they partner with Google like you said and announce RDR2 with the PC version. That actually makes sense.

It's saying the bonuses end the 19th of August. Why i feel like this update is not going to come on August.

Looks like we have a two-week window for a possible announcement because after that the Summer update for RDonline will release.

I know Stadia games are based on linux and Vulkan API but how much are they actually similar to a PC version? Considering they have to run remotely on Stadia custom hardware.

How the hell is there gonna be a stadia version without PC version? RDR 2 must be on PC first to even run from their servers.

If it's running on a Linux distro then it should be exactly the same as any other Linux game. Plus, Vulkan is in the RDR2 credits...

Current RDO event ends right when Gamescom starts could mean its coming after, especially since at the start they mention the summer update coming later this summer. Seems to fit perfectly.

You still need to buy the stadia version of the game to use the service.

So could this be good news for future R* games' console-PC release gap? Considering Google would want GTA 6 on their platform from day one.

That I honestly don't know... They might still favour Xbox/PS, or just make it Stadia exclusive, i.e. have a Linux version ready but not on Steam or RGSC.

I personally think Google Stadia as a service is a completely lost cause, and hope to God none of the publishers out there are silly enough to trap their games on such a platform with exclusivity deals. Would rather wait a year for a proper PC release for every GTA game than forever be at the mercy of a streaming service.

 

I can't see Rockstar ever doing something like that without offering people a RGSC version, at the very least. Even with all this talk of an Epic deal, I find solace in the fact that they'll surely offer RDR2 on their own storefront. No reason not to... right?

First on PS4 & XB1, then GOOGLE STADIA, then PC, THEN PS5/XBsomething

Well T2 or Rockstar Games aren't at the expos traditionally, but this time someone else is there:

 

Sony.

 

The first time ever and they ditched E3 this year.

Stadia isn't even available on all countries worldwide. The target audience will be very low. Rockstar won't even get the PC production cost back from sales in Stadia. Hence this will be a stupid decision from business point of view.

I know what you meant, but that is still unlikely. Who the hell is even hyped and plans to pay for Stadia? They need to please their loyal Windows players first.
