Think what you want. It's just my theory. I hope for you that RDR2 appears on the PC.
And GTA 5 came to the PC after a petition. Nobody knows if Rockstar will release GTA on PC without this petition.

https://www.change.org/p/rockstar-release-gta-v-on-pc

You should write a petition. Because this will see Rockstar;)

That petition had absolutely no influence on GTA V coming to PC.

GTA V PC was planned from the very beginning, those petitions are completely pointless.

So there's a lot of rumors that R*'s next game will be announced by the end of this year (very likely to be Bully 2) ... my question is, what role will the PC version of RDR2 play? I mean I don't see R* announcing two games within a matter of weeks or even months, so how will they handle the PC announcement for RDR2 and how will they handle a possible announcement for Bully 2 ... is it questionable or is it likely that R* announces two things?

As I also said before, GTA V has always existed on PC, even before those build log leaks from the PS3 version surfaced. An AMD driver revealed it had a development profile for GTA V PC in 2012, and Rockstar accidentally released a version of RGSC with a GTA V folder with some files inside in the same year, including some joke development pictures about V coming soon.

Lots of rubbish rumours, yea. Only rumour with any weight behind it that Rockstar will announce something this year is Fun2's comment about RDR2 PC being announced.

Yeah, because Fun would know what R* has planned. As far as I know he isn't some kind of R* insider as was/is Yan, right? I think all he does is dismantling the codes in GTA Online and Red Dead Online in search for upcoming updates. Also that a PC version of RDR2 is coming is common sense, I could predict that also.

He's a damn sight more reliable than those game leak subreddits that people keep linking on GTAF as potential Bully 2 leaks. More reliable than the clickbait Rockstar Intel as well.

As far as I'm concerned we've not got a shred of evidence of Bully 2 happening ever, we do however have a ton of evidence pointing towards RDR2 PC.

I think an announcement is coming this month for the PC version of RDR2. My prediction is October 18th release date ( we're not going to be waiting long.) Bully 2 can still be announced within October.

This should also finally finish the long and useless debates based on the fake argument that no RDR on PC equals no RDR 2 on PC. We have never seen any proofs of RDR existing on PC, while with GTA V and RDR 2 there are plenty.

You can't argue that Bully 2 rumors have been picking up A LOT as of late. Yan basically confirming it as R*'s next game back in January 2017 pretty much tells me that it's coming ... R* wouldn't put it on shelves for another time, now that development on RDR2 was wrapping up. They clearly had a straight vision for it back in 2016/2017 and were ready to enter full development - now really full development. They wouldn't be stupid to waste developers on it if they knew it'd never see the light of day. Bully 2 is coming, tell me otherwise! As far as I know, Fun never leaked anything NOT GTA Online or Red Dead Online related, did he?

Meaningless. Rockstar are a huge company, there's "leaks" about their games constantly if you look for them. We've had just as many for GTA VI, is that being announced this year?

2017 was a long time ago and we've not seen any real evidence of it coming since. Unlike say RDR2 PC where we've got plenty of evidence, Bully 2's only solid lead right now is Yan's comment in 2017 which leads me to this:

They've done it twice before, so yea, they could easily do it again. As for not wasting time... Welcome to the video game industry. Projects get canned and rebooted a lot at major studios, even ones with years of work into them. Ideas are formed but never make it into any sort of full production, etc.

RDR2 PC is their next major release, for sure. Bully 2 can happen the year after. GTA V PC landed in 2015. RDR2 announcement dropped in 2016. They could easily release the PC version and start the Bully 2 marketing campaign some months later, it doesn't have to be one or the other, in my opinion.

I am well aware of that, however, I don't recall ANY supposedly cancelled game that was put on shelves TWO times before ... several years apart and then has been picked up for a third time and then got SHELVED AGAIN. Nah, I guess R* would have never picked it up again after having it put on shelves already two times, if they didn't have a masterplan in mind this time around. Maybe the tech was not there back in the day so they couldn't develop their vision of the game? Either way I'm very sure that the third time they picked this project up (2016 or so) they had a super clear vision about what they wanted this game to be, learnt from their "misssteps" in the past so that they could finally finish developing this game and announce it to the world and release it.

This is not because something like this has never happened before it's because insight into cancelled game projects is pretty rare. Game studios try things all the time, they don't always work out.

I reckon we could argue for days about this but I stand to my point that I absolutely do not believe that R* would have picked up Bully 2 again - for the third time! - if they weren't 100% sure they'd finish it this time around. No way!

Fair enough. What I would say though that remember this Bully 2 Yan comment was years ago now, during RDR2 production when RDR2 was still slated for 2017 I believe? Long time ago now, things can easily have changed since then, and did with the RDR2 delay.

My guess is, and this is just my guess, but I expect GTA VI is next because I do not seem them going into the next gen consoles and waiting 3-4 years before launching a new GTA Online.

Strauss always says that Take-Two don't make the announcements, they let their companies do it but of course they still control but at the same time they don't put pressure for an announcement when they're told it's not ready to be shown or it's not the best time.

You forget one thing though ... both, the PS5 and next Xbox will be backwards compatible, means that GTA Online can still be expanded and supported well into the next-gen's life-cycle with even more updates and stuff. I absolutely don't see GTA Online as a reason for GTA VI & GTA Online 2.0 to be Rockstar's next game. After all I think we should get away from linking GTA Online to GTA V, as R* said several times, GTA Online will be a separate thing to the mainline GTA games, or they would have not called it GTA Online in the first place. As I see it, GTA VI will not come with any online component at all and be a real singleplayer-only game (yeah!) ... but of course they'll update the current version of GTA Online with the new map, update it to the latest version of the RAGE engine (if that's technically possible - I think it is), add all the new stuff (minigames, etc.) from GTA VI into the updated GTA Online experience but again, it will be a completely separate thing! Current GTA Online players will be able to upgrade to the new version for free ... if they buy a copy of GTA VI, however, there'll also be an option to ONLY upgrade GTA Online.

That is a pure lie ... it's obvious that they "pressured" R* to show that Fall 2017 release window for RDR2 in the initial RDR2 teaser trailer back in October 2016. Both R* and Take Two knew the game wouldn't be ready for release by then, but they needed to have some lucrative outcome in their otherwise sparse financial report for the upcoming fiscal year.

You forgot one thing your self, GTAO will be 7 years old when the new consoles launch and crippled with problems stemming from last-gen consoles. Not a very exciting prospect to be playing a 360/PS3 game on a brand spanking new PS5/XB2 is it?

If that were the case RDO would be separate, it isn't. They like this SP + MP model they have right now.

R* & Take2 most likely want people to start from ground up in GTA online (2)

and it wont be linked to GTA Online (1) for technical reasons
