Irrational Annoyances

What little things have annoyed you in the GTA series that probably shouldn't, but do anyway?

 

For me it's civilians in GTA 3 who calmly walk towards you after you carjack them. What are you trying to accomplish? You don't look intimidating. I run them over 100% of the time.

The fact that cops try to arrest you for them running into you.

The retarded NPCs, especially the way they drive.

-The Driving in GTA IV. it's not even hard to say you have some challenge. Just boat-like annoying. And weird suspension makes all the cars look like lowriders. 

 

-Cops that bump into me but I get a wanted level. 

 

-No Planes in GTA IV. 

 

-The gang territories in GTA SA that sometimes are so small that you can't find 3 members to kill to start the gang war. 

 

-The fact that you can't stand on moving cars without ragdolling off in HD era GTAs. 

 

-lack of cheats in HD era GTAs. 

 

-the phone calls for hanging out in GTA IV. 

 

-Not releasing online DLC vehicles and weapons for GTA V. 

 

-how quickly your car gets destroyed in GTA III.

OT: How the M16 in GTA III is so powerful. This is a good thing when you're using it, but when it comes to other enemies, you're going to get shredded.

In the case of my earlier post, I don't see any logic behind the lack of silent guns that you can't shoot at pigeons without the possibility of receiving police attention. Then turning off the cell phone (or sleep mode) will temporarily stop any phone calls for hanging out, but the annoying (irrational) part is that it also stops the calls related to other missions too, and that basically stops me from participating any mission that depends on the phone. If I am using sleep mode to avoid hanging out with friends then  there is no logic to stop everything else that includes story related contacts, or accessing cheats without turning off the sleep mode. Even when I make a call to jacob for drug delivery, the sleep mode turns off, and doesn't stay ON to stop receiving hang out requests; thus an irrational decision - in short.

 

Similarly, the new driving mechanics, and the traffic AI, has some irrational elements in its implementation.

It's like saying we should remove bikes cause we have cars. Planes are a transportation vehicle that EXIST in new york. And irrational means illogical ir unreasonable which doesn't make sense for them to not exist in the game while we had em in VC and SA. (and III as well)

Unless you are him you probably shouldn't speak on behalf of people on the internet, immediately after my post about how people aren't coming up with "irrational" posts and implying that most people in this thread are just whining about IV and the other games he proceeds to define irrational then justify each of his points. If it wasn't a direct response to me then my bad but it would seem feasible that someone doesn't randomly decide to justify their post. And for the record, @Am Shaegar (who replied while I was typing this lol) I actually do genuinely agree with you, especially on the god-awful traffic AI.

 

By the way, I hope you realise you fit into the half that don't know what irrational means.

-'most people in this thread just whine about IV'. Dude. You gotta learn how criticism works. If you can't take it you shouldn't be on these types of forums anyway. People posted "irrational" things about games other than IV as well but it seems like only one group (or shall I say just one person) of people turn totally butthurt when you say sth against their favorite game. 

 

-also I believe I got the meaning right cause I wasn't the one accusing anyone of their "correct" statement regarding the topic and claim that irrational means Like my own made up definition.

I guess this clearly states you're not that good in English and the reason why you get half of my posts wrong. 

Sth is a standard abbreviation for something. It is used in some reference books, such as dictionaries, in order to save space. Another common one is sb for somebody.

Sth is the most common abbreviation when talking English. If you don't know it you probably don't know any other abbreviation. I'm actually glad this was brought up because from now on I will talk to you with direct formal English so you would get my point. If only I knew you can't understand basic Street English maybe we wouldn't have this many posts about misunderstanding each other in the past. 

 

2)you said you weren't regarding to Am Shaegar. I doubt you were referring to Penguin Bob or others in the thread so it wouldn't take a sec(second) to understand you were talking to me. It's not really that hard based on our history in the past. Don't act like you're the victim here.

There is nothing wrong with not knowing abbreviations but when he constantly misunderstands my posts (but responds like he totally got them) in multiple threads(while I don't have this problem with anyone else on this forum)it gets annoying and not surprising to blame him for not knowing English. Thanks for reminding me he is Australian because this makes the situation even weirder.

- How slow the cops run in GTA IV while the other peds(even the fat ones)  are pretty fast when they chase you on foot.

Pedestrians in GTA V.Annoying tauting rats, that likes to call police if you look at them.

 

I was infront of yellow jack inn with Trevor, there were some millenials .Trevor walks, they started to be heroes and call instantly police.

 

And the other hand...One fist, and they were down...

Or after you kill the three members it selects an adjacent territory for the gang war,

 

Sometimes you can trigger a war using the roadblock method.  Pulling out a gang member from his car and killing him as usually a few buddies arrive when you do this.

IV problems in V. Rather than fixing the bad things, V removes the good things and adds new bad things.

The mission attempts and mission completed stat in San Andreas, pointless as you can never achieve perfection. The Green Sabre is an automatic fail, as are the first two Chillead races.

 

In GTA V who exactly is the random woman Michael meets for coffee and lunch and why is she not a booty call option?

What annoys me the most is when they use songs that mention real life counterparts of ingame locations. I.E. "Hollywood Nights" in GTA 5 where Vinewood is there instead of Hollywood.

Also how all the cars in San Andreas have stupidly large proportions.

If I had to pick just one, I think it'd be the cops in V.

 

You can't really bump into, touch or look at one in close enough proximity without them instantly assuming you are a terrorist and gunning you down moments after.
