Can dead garage spaces be recovered?

If you have the spare money, or inclination, I'd be genuinely interested to see if the game will allow you to purchase both the Thruster and RCV.

Well its not in the hangar, since that one is full too.

I didn't know it could be there or in the special base slots. I sadly have no spare cash to test it out.

That's fair enough, to be honest I wouldn't expect you, or anyone, to buy vehicles they don't want just to satisfy my curiosity.

 

Can the special base vehicles, like the Thruster, be sold? If they can I might test it myself by selling the cheapest to replace and then attempt to buy a free Elergy into my currently dead MOC space.

At this point I would be very surprised if someone is able to fill every single space. I'm pretty convinced every person has a dead space.

I have the issue with both characters and I think the dead space will be random. Seems like it can be anywhere depending on where your last empty space is, that will be the dead spot.

I think we will just have to wait and hope for a december update that fixes it.

When I asked support about it they offered to wipe my account as a fix lol

That seems to be their fix for everything now.

Well from what read so far, most people have it in their nightclub garages. Not sure if that is because the issue lies there, if it is because their last emtpy spot was there or if it is random.

I had everything filled except for the club garages but I didnt want my spot to be there so I moved a car from another garage into the club and filled my club garages. You can move the dead spot around if you want.

I think this might be my issue, I have a full garage, I don't remember having any issue buying the Oppressor but I think I tried buying it on the floor before putting in the Terrorbyte. And I did have a lot of slots empty at that time.

I filled almost every slot in the game a week after that, including the MOC. I just didn't buy the 3 Halloween vehicles because they were not available for me.

Now in the Halloween week I bought both Halloween cars, but had issues with the Sanctus which was the last vehicle I was missing (was hoping to store her in Eclipse Towers, Suite 3).

So I sold the Rusty Rebel from my Executive Garage 3 and bought the Sanctus there.

 

Now, the issue is I am 1 car away from having the vehicle limit, and my Sanctus in the wrong garage.

I have tried but I cannot transfer her to my Eclipse Towers as there is where the dead spot is for whatever reason.

I was able to fix this *BUT* with several caveats...

 

I used this method to put a BMX in facility:  https://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/how-to-put-bmx-in-facility.1739574/

 

(in order to get the free spots--neither can be there dead spot so you'll need three empty spots at a minimum, two in facility--I had to sell a few cars but I luckily had some sentinel xs's stored to sell)

 

After successfully putting BMX in facility, fill up every other empty slot in your garages (easiest way is with soemthing free like the Elegy or if you're a returning player, any of those vehicles).  Take a street car and use that to replace the BMX (you can't buy a car over it).

 

Buy a car over the BMX, and you should be good.

 

*But* I don't know what long term problem(s) this may cause as it is at a minimum likely causing dead spot on bike racks, and if you sell any cars at this point you will have a dead spot again.  (I sold the street car I put over the BMX...so I had to do this all over again.)

 

So on the one hand, I have all slots open save whatever mess I made with my bike racks.  But I cannot sell any cars without opening up that dead slot so I'm basically stuck with the cars I have unless I want to do that glitch again.

Only if they remember the +1 I believe they forgot to add for the Terrorbyte spot. 

 

If we get another 20 spaces R* need to increase the cap by 21 to fix this issue.

My plan is to fill the new garages with free Elergys, then try to put a final free Elergy in my currently dead MOC.

I’ve not played since before rdr2 came out...my dead space is in my clubhouse...I might jump on and try but tbh I’m so unenthusiastic about this update and the grinding it entails my OCD is less bothered by the dead space now.

I feel the same, there's no way I'm grinding out the rewards. Can't even be bothered to trade wins. I'll be logging on for some of the civilian cars, Xmas gifts and clothing unlocks, but that's about it.

no dead spots

BUT i didnt filled 2 bigs slots reserved for the cerberus so maybe the deadslot has moving there but i dont care because i wont buy 3 cerberus

Yep it works for me I didn’t know what to buy though having bought everything across both characters so bought another nemesis for character 1.

It was my personal Vestra. It got destroyed after it got disabled by a UFO. After that it's gone and left my hangar with only 19 spots. Can't call Mors, can't replace, can't anything. Ended up resetting my account just to get rid of it

Started the game again, had the idea to sell another car, sold one that would be cheap to replace, tried the MK2 again, this time it went in the Terrorbyte without issue.

 

After upgrading I went to repurchase the car I sold but now I have an empty dead space in my nightclub BE garage. It looks empty, but in the list of cars in the garage, instead of there being 9 cars there is also a space named empty.

 

I can't buy over it, can't bring in a car off the street over it, can't bring in a car from another garage to move the dead space.

 

I spent 2 hours waiting for a R* support live chat and they were clueless. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly,I'm not positive, I think I had the same problem when I first bought my Op mk2. For whatever reason it wouldn't let me put the Op in the Terrorbyte. So I put it in a garage and then I drove it into the Terrorbyte (which btw is not easy-what works best for me is hovering over the corner of the side and back of the TB. Hovereing over the the blue circle is useless).

I know you have other difficulties,but I hope my 2 cents helped.
