Radio Espantoso
Hello everybody. This is the first message I send and I need your help for a little annoying thing. I modded almost every car of the original car park present in GTA IV and TBOGT (I play EFLC). However there are some cars I can't mod/substitute. I mean, if I substitute the file of the car with the modded one using Spark IV, the new car doesn't show in the game, but remains the original model car. It happens for a bunch of cars: Dukes, Futo, Stalion, Patriot. I know them are just few cars and, I repeat it doesnt afflict the gameplay but I would like to know why these cars cant be substitute/modded, considering that all the other cars can be modded. jaqub
Can you describe your process about modding cars or other vehicles? (Moddeling, texture replacement, handling editing etc.)
Radio Espantoso
Yes of course. Using Spark IV, I replace the .wft and .wtd files of the car I want to mod with the new .wtd and .wft content inside the .rar/zip archive of the car mod. Then I rebuilt and save the archive. Subsequently I replace the handling.dat and carcols.dat of the original car with the one content inside the readme.txt. It has succes with every car I modded except the ones I mentioned above. However I just notice a thing: taking for example the Futo, after I try to replace it without success, the model rest the same and I notice that the reverse gear lights don't work. I don't know if it is can be correlated to the issue. Thanks
B Dawg
Where are you replacing them? In EFLC's general pc>models>cdimages>vehicles? Because there are copies of some IV vehicles included inside TLAD/TBOGT vehicle archives. You should remove those. Uhm yes if I want to replace, for example, the Admiral, i mod the Admiral files inside the GTA IV models vehicle, because it's a car of the main archive. If I want to replace the Bullet GT, i mod the Bullet GTs files present in the TBOGT models archive. Except the Slamvan, present in TLAD & TBOGT I never touched TLAD models vehicle/handling etc. So I should check if in TLAD there is some models shared with the main IV models archive? As the Futo, Dukes, Patriot and Stalion. EDIT: effectively inside the TBOGT models archive there are the Futo's files and how I substitute them and the Futo's files in the IV models archive, in the game there is the new modded car thank you for the tip B Dawg! Now the problem is why I can find the Stalion/Dukes/Patriot shared files ahahah Edited August 11, 2018 by Radio Espantoso
