Is it possible to recreate the Vice City-like rain effects for GTA III that the mobile version has with ParticleEx?

The mod says that Ultimate ASI Loader was missing even though I installed Ultimate ASI Loader wtf this mod is higher than my dad

Hey, i found some "bug" or difference perhaps. The hydrant splash with ps2 config on gta vice city remain the same as the default PC one.

There's no PS2 configuration in particleex for VC, just Xbox and enhanced Xbox behaviour that includes III Xbox explosions.

Also, PC and PS2 particle system are the same on VC as far as I know.

 

EDIT:

Oh hey, I was talking sh*t above haha. My plugin was outdated, not anymore. And indeed, latest version includes PS2 particle system. My bad, sorry.

I'm getting a crash on launch.

It looks like the file path it's trying to load from is incorrect. Any idea on how to fix this?

This is my how it's placed into Mod Loader.

IIIParticleEx.asi & IIIParticleEx.ini are in my scripts folder.

 

 

EDIT: Fixed the issue.

I'll leave this here for anyone else, but the .asi needs to load from the mod loader folder as well.

The folder structure should look like this.

does this change reflection?

does it make the reflection more better? (the old one looks like a reflection from a toy car)

You didn't follow the instructions:

 

Installation

Just copy ParticleEx.asi, ParticleEx.ini and ParticleEx folder to your scripts directory

Hello! I have a question about the same problem, downloaded lastest version available, added it through modloader and changed .ini to PS2 but the problem still persist. I don't see PS2 particles like unique newspaper.

 

EDIT: Problem solved, this was issue at my end I apologize.

There are 2 ways to make particles look similar to PS2 as much as possible:
Use PS2 map and start a new game.
or
Go to debugmenu(Ctrl + M) -> ParticleEx -> PObject -> Load PObjets and load particleobjects_ps2.pobj.
Make sure that you are not on a mission, also don't forget to save your game if you want to use it later.

Is there a way to combine xbox type flames with SpitFire's "Fire & Flames" mod? At the moment both mods are compatible with normal fire only but when using xbox fire there is a very weird smoke effect on the scatter fire.
