There is no difference between PS2 and PC vehicle camera in VC, but it's bugged in the same way as III PC.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I'll post it...

 

The boat splash doesn't work right when I use it in a GTA3 clean install and the particle value set to PS2. Check the bottom right side of the screenshot, it appears like purple/pink smoke.

By the way, this is enabled by default, so there's no need to do anything special for steam version on ual's side.

This has me started, now I want it for VC! It's sooooooooo nice! Anyone got a road fairness cream? The roads have got 'dark spots', LOL:p.

 

@Fire_Head: I found a way to make your Airtrain and DeadDodo Collision Fix work on VC (Surya926 told me about this), you just need to integrate the source code you made for VC into dinput8.dll. Surya had also used this way when developing LCS: PC, look here for reference:

Those dark spots look weird. Black texture is too hard, so even edges are visible, also this spot appears before the actual explosion. Maybe this was disabled by R* because doesn't work correctly. Fix needs additional fixes.

The "hardness" can be removed by using a higher quality texture and reducing creation size. But still, as you said, the fix sure needs additional fixes.

EDIT: Wait, did you test it in GTA:LCS, not GTA:LC? LC is GTA Liberty City (not Liberty City Stories!) — a standalone mod that is based on GTA VC

I just tested it, it doesn't load with the mods asi loader, if you replace it with another one it crash, when I replaced the particle.cfg and txd with the ones in this mod the fire is gta 3 but brighter lol.

@Fire_Head Here's something to report, the FH switch in VC is using the PC particle cfg and txd, so I replaced those with PS2's particle cfg and txd but particleex seems to ignore it because I can't see the unique PS2 newspapers scattered in the city, still loading the PC ones, that's includes the other particles as well, like fire, etc. Also, FH switch makes original VC water droplets to appear on screen, ignoring the skygfx Xbox water droplets. I didn't test with blood droplets but I think will be the same thing.

 

Any chance to replace FH with PS2 particle system? I don't see the sense of the FH switch if is the same one as PC.

  • Added 'JetExposion' Patch(makes vehicle explosion similar to VC/early screenshots)

  • Added Compatibility with WaterEx
  • Fixed broken "boats_0X" textures in txd (nice one Vienna)
  • Added option to remove and tweak 'JetExplosion'
