Things GTA IV should of had

Recommended Posts

Raiden1018

There is nothing wrong with more customization/options.

R* cut the minigun, countryside, and silenced 9mm pistol for a reason. They wanted the player to really experience life in LC as Niko, and they achieved it. Niko running around with a minigun and a chrome Zentorno would really break the feel.

Hey come on this is meant to be a place you can share your opinion on what you want in GTA IV. Not to criticize peoples choices.

Instead of just posting a gif why not contribute to the discussion aswell and explain yourself. What part of his post was so bad to you anyway? I can't tell from that one gif. I liked his ideas.

Everything.

And theres nothing I need to be added to IV except more things to spend money on

I sometimes dream about these little improvements. Nice thread.

1. Snapmatic, one of the most brilliant ideas ever by Rockstar

2. Personal vehicles for single player (I had this idea a long time before we saw the first trailer of GTA V, a long time dream).

3. More clothing

4. Buyable apartments

5. More interiors (even the amount is great already)

6. Buying cars physically

7. The countryside portion of the state of Liberty City, which originally was planned.

8. Something cool to do outside missions

9. Dynamic pedestrians and dynamic events

10. Small aircraft (a sea plane would be perfect for LC)

Minigun

Houses with 10 cars

Large countryside

Off radar on MP

Praise be to God you guys didn't work on IV Which part didn't you like?

Customization doesn't necessarily mean chrome Zentornos. Customization can be done in a subtle, cool way without the ridiculous custom horns and tire smokes. In a way that fits in IV. I hope you get what I mean.

In fact everything I listed could fit IV perfectly if done right.

I know exactly what you mean by this, but none of the things I listed would really break the feel if you ask me (well, maybe the Snapmatic would, sort of). Edited by /Tuomaz

If you knew anything about the air ground war you would know how much a minigun would have been welcome. I drive a gauntlet.

IV could have used more vehicle storage. There is no reason why Niko couldn't have owned a garage. It would have made perfect sense. Every GTA also has the issue of being afraid to drive a rare car that you found because you don't want to lose it.

I admit cars looked really cool in front of them but it could have used more. When I did some side missions it was hard letting a certain car go because I found one I liked more. I did feel like a bad ass parking a Comet outside the place in Bohan and nobody messes with it.

Parking spaces are much more NYC than garages. However, garages are much better at saving the cars than parking spaces. Hence, why i wish we could have acquired an actual house or something in Northern Alderney, that comes with a garage.

Imagine, if towards the end of the story Roman actually bought one of those northern New Alderney mansions, on Owl Creek Avenue. That would be the sh*t. :D At least one of those mansions has one of those garages. :)

Imagine if you'd get Bucky Sligo's mansion when you would have killed Francis, as a reward. It has a garage too, it would fit :D

Well I used the More Safehouses Mod and I always save the game there. At least R* should have left it unlocked, there is no reason to block it :p Or imagine some side missions where you repair it.

By the way, there should have been a way to see what become of Roman's garage and Niko's old apartment. We know that they are repaired in GTA CTW but, at least make Niko sell them or something.

Could have done something with Faustin's mansion. But his wife Illeyna(?) had to sell it to pay off debts, I think?

I must admit, I really like Beachgate, probably my favourite part of LC.

Well that's a sh*tty reason. If they don't want people to use the minigun, make it a reward for completing the game and completely keep it out of multiplayer. The countryside would have made the game far better (IV driving mechanics + Countryside = Dream) and there's no good reason to cut out a silencer.

If anything, R* should give us the silencer only for shooting those pigeons.

Why do i need to battle with cops everytime i shoot a pigeon? Multiple this with 200 and you get the recipe for a nightmare.

Lol, that´s true! :D Especially when you had to reach them on foot and you had to make a run for your car after shooting them. Like the pigeons on the subway platform or the pigeon on the roof of the house in Savannah Avenue (the street where Packie and his family lived).

Maybe just take out the pigeons all together and give us packages instead. It has to be the worst collectible in GTA history and you get nothing for it. I can get an annihilator from the rooftop of the police station near Holland so why do I need to shoot pigeons?

True. And that Aninhilator doesn`t even spawn half of the time.

Maybe this is some sort of a parody on NYC and it`s menace- the pigeons. So you could just pretend yourself that you`re doing a good work for the comunity by exterminating all those pigeons. They could carry diseases :barf:

Internet on the mobile phone. Would have been handy instead of having to go to the internet cafe. In three missions it would have been great to just whip out the phone and check on the internet for setting up the internet date, submitting the resume and for Gracie's car but would have been good for checking emails too. The screen on the mobile could just zoom in so it would be like you are using a regular pc.

The Minigun has no more power than a RPG, Niko could have had a minigun.
