You're not going to get rich by just owning a Nightclub. You need a business empire, the bigger your empire the more profit the Nightclub makes in the background. 

 

Run your normal grind and come back to the Club when you have sold all your stuff and you could be sat on another half million for doing f*ck all.

Exactly, this is something people aren't understanding. I've longed for some sort of passive income whilst playing the game and now it's finally here and I'm very pleased. But to others, it's still not good enough unless the game is for some reason playing for you and doing everything.

I know right? Since the update dropped I have made over three hundred thousand from the Club for doing f*ck all. I have spent more time dancing and taking Snapmatics in the Club with friends than I have done working.

Absolutely agree. I've only got 43/360 stock in my club but that's already $437k in stock value, not to mention the warehouses that can be filled and sold off as well.

 

That's a pretty penny for just having to pick up supplies, and the Terrorbyte's gonna make that a hell of a lot easier by having one central hub to source product from

Rockstar has still yet to give me any of my Guest List sh*t, despite me knowing for sure that I logged in on July 2nd. I literally have a picture of my character that I took on that day, which I remember taking. Rockstar Support still says I didn't log in June 25-July 2nd. I know that you can take pictures of your online character in director mode, but there's nothing else I can show them as proof. It's not the best missing out on around 750k because Rockstar denies something I know to be true.

I'm a little concerned that this update has really intensified the toxic insanity of free roam.  I really enjoy the business battle events; they remind me of a return of the late, lamented special crate drops.  But they are inspiring even more rage and butthurt than even those crates did.  Just in the few days since the update, I've collected and delivered cargo from about 6-7 events, and failed two others, and almost every single one involved me competing with 1-3 other players.  That in itself is fine, obviously that's the idea.  But in the cases where there were more players it turned into a sprawling battle that went long past the end of the event, and in the cases where it was just me vs. one other guy, the loser was always pissed and spent the rest of their time in session trying to get revenge.  I was just on for an hour now, and a single business battle (I swooped in on a guy flying cargo back in his Buzzard, killing him once and stealing the cargo) resulted in that guy following me around like Inigo Montoya the entire rest of the time.

 

I don't know that it's possible to have PvP in a free roam, open world environment and not have it constantly result in vendettas and trolling, but I do know that IF it's possible, Rockstar isn't even trying to achieve it anymore.

Which is why I was especially excited to learn that BBEs also can trigger in closed lobbies, given a sufficient number of players or orgs present. Couldn't test it myself, being a bit of an online social castaway at the moment, but the things seems to work.

I know that I'm kind of overcompensating some of my concerns by believing in modular improvements to come, and believing this with great determination , but R* have gone out their usual ways by introducing actual closed lobby activities after quite a long time, and that can be a good sign, indeed

So much this.  Once you get all of these down I walk around just printing money.  Most people are into instant gratification which is why they not only expect to get rich quick, they expect everything to be released for immediate purchase.  Life must be a bitch if you think that way, because life has taught me most things aren’t going to happen on my timeline.

Sounds like you are starting to understand what GTA really is all about-toxic urban war fare with ever escalating weapons from which you can torment others with.  This game has never been anything else.  Welcome to GTA my friend!!

Well, just like how people bitch with Destiny, I have come to the realization that GTA is a bit of a similar situation. Although Destiny more of cut content, GTA has become more a reskinned and repetitive business thst gets old pretty fast. The nightclub was fun as f*ck, you do simple missions to keep the popularity up and then what? You're done. And the drip feed.....oh ffs R* why? It's bullsh*t. Online has turned into such a sh*tshow

Starting?  I've been playing since launch in 2013, I know a little too well what it's about.  It just bothers me when their updates seem designed to just push things further in further in that direction.  Of course, nothing they've done in the last two updates can rival the Deluxo for sending a sheer "f*ck you, we want eternal war" message to advocates of PvE and (hypothetical) friendly lobbies.

I think you will find the Oppressor MkII will take that throne very easily.

 

Smaller, faster, has Countermeasures, has a booster and seems to have Deluxo Missiles.

I thought I saw that it had the same missiles as the Oppressor.  If so, those are not nearly as good as Deluxo missiles.  I certainly HOPE it doesn't have Deluxo missiles... if you can spawn that thing at your feet with no cooldown and it's that powerful, I might have to stop playing this game.  Not even exaggerating here, that would be ridiculous beyond belief.

It has been a five year trend.  It makes your comment sound naïve.  At some point, it is no longer worth complaining about since the result should have been fully expected.
