1) That’s a terrible example, I don’t scoff at a tenth of my weekly salary from work either

2) Solo playing is more fun for me, there’s no “wrong way” to play if you’re enjoying yourself

3) Congratulations on having the highest horse in the land (As if nobody other than thou knows how to make a quick mil)

All I’m saying is that things add up, because it’s true. 100 grand is a fully customized street car, it’s something. And while I’m not a new player, some are still out there, and 100 grand would be even more to them than it is to me. So... perspective and that

I play solo a lot too.  That isn’t a terrible example because it puts it in perspective (and it is easy to find one other person to play with).  I don’t think one needs to obsess over money, but if it is important to you and 100k is still a lot, you are playing the game wrong.  This would not have been true in 2014, but with all the ways to make money now, even solo, you can easily do a  million plus in a reasonably short session if  you want to.

^ By that logic then why ever bother making a sale or playing a mission worth 100k or less if it doesn’t mean anything?

Tale of Us set is very boring. I dunno, I really wanna to sleep with this music, not to dance. Maybe it's just Solomun raised the bar too high, but so far those guys are disappointment for me. Mission was bad too IMO, Solomun one was hilarious (driving is boring, but whole situation is really good scripted), this one had only one good moment - English Dave with the Cacao dialogue. As I see the things, Tale of Us just done this for the money, while Solomun was really into work. That fact makes me less worried about TBM, but now i'm even more worried for the Dixon.

Never said it doesn’t mean anything.  It is about stacking coins and doing those things that are time efficient.  That of course is the objective if it is only about making money.  I do plenty of things that pay 100K or less because they are fun for me.

There is no wrong way in playing this game. There is only YOUR way. And that way is always the best way.

But this is taking what I said out of context.  I said, “if money is important to you and 100k is still a lot to you in 2018, you are playing it wrong.”  If you aren’t concerned about money, then there is no “wrong way” to play.

Oh, almost forgot about it. And just remembered that teaser music is in the Dixon set, so.. Well, 3 out of 4 is pretty good.

But you’re still adding that unnecessary stipulation. The simple view is, “are you enjoying the game? Yes? Good, end of story.” without all the high and mighty advice and logistical backstepping

Damn, it’s hard to believe that “everybody’s right” when there are people who say “no, I’m right and you’re playing wrong if...”

My understanding is that having a second DJ means you can switch DJ’s for 10k and your popularity maxes out.  If true, and over enough time, this becomes a pretty good investment if only because you should be able to max out $70k more often (or get close to it) without doing a lot of the popularity missions (which then frees up your time to make more money elsewhere).  Like with everything in GTA, it becomes profitable, but only if you play a good deal.  You also get new music in your club FWIW.   Hell, people payed a 100k to change character appearance, and that has a 0% ROI.

But your premise assumes that doing things that make money can’t also be fun. What some call “grinding” is fun for others like me.  That is because I do it with friends, and it is the mic time that makes it fun, not the activity.  I do agree with you to this extent—I always tell people to “never grind,” because it is supposed to be something you do for fun.  But at this point, in 2018, if you have been playing for a while, you shouldn’t have to grind any more to make money.

I can’t disagree with that (even though you’re putting words in my mouth, I hardly said anything other than 100 grand is as important as anyone decides it is) because yeah, you should do whatever is fun for you, whether other people consider it as a grind or not.

But I still think you’re confusing “worrying” about 100 grand with making the choice not to spend it and using it on something else later. There’s still no wrong way to play for any individual player, whether or not it seems wrong to you personally.

Ps. This conversation isn’t going anywhere for anyone. You’re the one who started criticizing other people’s play styles, I’m only saying nobody really has any reason to judge

Let me tey it this way—$100k today isn’t worth what $100k was say in 2014 because of all the opportunities to make money.  I do agree everyone’s situation is different, so if you haven’t played much the last 4 years or you just bought the game last month, it isn’t going to feel that way.  I think we are close to say the same thing now.

The AH delivery vehicles are f*ckING AWFUL. Every time I take the speedo out it pisses rain and the thing is like bambi on ice. It can't do sh*t. And the pounder? Can't move fast, can't brake, can't turn well, No acceleration. And the mounted missiles? worse than useless. you can't lock on and they only shoot at the sky. Add to that they block you driving under tons of stuff. Seriously, 280k for a non locking missile system that gets you INTO trouble when you are getting chased.

Why do rockstar insist on making sale missions infuriation solely by way of vehicle choice? Is that the best way they can't think of to make a challenge? Of course not, slow vehicles, vehicles that stop at every delivery to let enemies catch and make you a nice stable target for other players..

Make sale missions fast and hectic. Given a T20 and 20 minutes to drop off 20 packages. Or get to a location and get ambushed and have to fight your way out. Something, ANYTHING other than these same, sh*tty, slow vehicles that are such a f*cking dull experience to play.

I feel like this is because Tale of Us set was made for the game. Not a single song they play was made by another artist, and most of the titles reference other Rockstar games. I don't find them boring but they're not my favorite either. Not sure where I'd place them, haven't listened to Dixon's set yet, but The Black Madonna's set is definitely my favorite one, looking forward to it in... 2 more weeks ):

Though Tale of Us' promotional material is the best of them all, IMO. The posters and the blimp look amazing, and it makes me a bit disappointed that a t-shirt with that graphic is being drip-fed with no known release date or way of unlocking it.

I have only had occasion to use the Speedo, but I love it.  The ability to drive and control the mini gun makes this superior to other delivery vehicles.  It does require some skill, no doubt.  Think of it this way—compar it to say those Post Op Vans or those annoying Marshals.  Funks all over those.  Practice with them a bit more, you get better.

Is the cocaine sell mission, where you deliver the product to the O'Neill's Farm a valid B&M? A crew member who helped me as an associate even questioned that after the mission. "Isn't that a little shady, selling to the O'Neill's?"

It’s meant to take what you said out of context, because there is no wrong play according to anyone else’s opinion on anyone else’s gameplay.

I thought this was over.  The inherent conflict comes from those complaining all the time regarding the cost of items.  From this, one can logically conclude that money is important to those people (lest they wouldn’t care about buying items otherwise).  So if buying items is a goal, then not utilizing the best money making avenues is “playing the game wrong,” for those people.  If making money is not, then it isn’t.  This of course assumes a world where prices won’t be radically reduced.  This is why it is absurd to take this out of co text/remove the precondition.

It's nothing to do with practise. Yes, it is better getting to ditch the post op and so on. But look at gunrunning. That did it right. Insurgents, battles. Dune buggy high speed drop offs.

Not a super slow, ridiculously slidy van that spins out constantly and gets stopped dead by skimming into any other thing on the road.

Pistol Bobcat

Gonna quickly rant about literally the only thing I dislike so far, some of the club management missions, and the repetition of those ones which lack any fun factor.

Start club management, Tony tells me to source booze truck hidden far away in Hicksville, Vain County.

OH f*ck OFF, I will Polish your shoes and sweep broken glass for all we care,  but I'm NOT sourcing another f*cking truck.

All I wanted was to invite some more bubbly fuzzy celebrities to my so glam and wham bam shang-a-lang of a glorious club.

I'll tolerate flying the yellow zeppelin again or even smashing some cars to let off steam, but f*ck those mundane 'bring us the booze' fetch quests, at least there's Zero penalties for simply quitting and coming back, the ability to do club missions via invite only is one of my favourite redeeming factors in the quest to run an amazing new enterprise without the unwelcome invasion of broomsticks, more broomsticks and the latest broomstick to soon sweep  (sorry) the west coast.

While I’m disappointed that they still gave us pretty crap vehicles, I’ll be the first to say I’d take it over what we were given with craterunning and bikers. The Mule is unforgivable and there’s no defending it, given it has handling flags, pretty much no defence for solo player etc., but hell. I guess I’d take it over most of the stuff from the past.

OT: I’m going to be pretty upset if Paige’s missions are boring. Replaying old contact missions with Insurgents and over-the-top military vehicles are a fun time but we really could use more. They’re not all that profitable either, so I don’t know what’s stopping R* from adding a few. Besides, it’s pretty f*cking annoying that you’re almost forced into the Dispatch loop after completing base-game contact missions because you have no other choices.

My complaints so far:

1) The Promo missions are getting a little tedious and they come up too often.

2) The NC sell missions are tailored to griefers, making you backtrack across the map on slow roads.

3) The lighting in the garages is drab and the cars don’t look as nice as they do in the CEO garage.

4) No helipad on the NC with direct office access.

This is the b*tch and moan topic after all, not to sure what else you'd expect to see in here apart from people who have found some issues with things they dislike or is wrong or let's just say plain stupid and they come here to share it with others because why not?

Also who cares if people complain about something. Let them, probably helps them get something off their chest to other people because they know other people will be understanding of the matter and would've gone through similar if not the same crap

Unless it's to do with me not having upgrades, they give little popularity back in return. Not only that but I'm sure by the time you've completed one promotion mission, your popularity has dropped a little?

I'm at 2 bars popularity at the moment down from full because I just couldn't be assed to do Nightclub promotions for little reward / little population bonus and I'd wanted to avoid the the recovery of the Mule from the MC as much as possible.
