Curious; by what law of nature is it written that we have to "respect others liberties" when those liberties in question may be objectively oppressive and/or harmful?

I've clearly outlined abuse as unacceptable in the previous paragraph. I genuinely hope that's not the extent of your attention span, in which case, your argument is a clear strawman. Liberties of one person end where liberties of others begin. A person is entitled to an opinion, no matter how unpopular and harmful. They are also entitled to sharing that opinion as an opinion. You are entitled to share your opinion that it makes them a despicable person and part of what is wrong with this world. If either of you use this position to persecute, harass, discriminate, or urge others to do any of that, it stops being a matter of opinion and becomes a hate crime. If you disagree with this, you are not a liberal and never have been, because you completely fail to understand the concept of personal freedom. Heckling various right-wing groups isn't enough.

Can liberals not also have "respect" for "tradition and values" while simultaneously challenging those which are clearly outdated and incompatible with the 21st century?

I'm pretty sure the number of quotation marks you've used harms your argument more than anything I can add; nonetheless. Traditions, no matter the kind, are inherently restrictive. If you think people should be following traditional ways instead of being who they are, you are taking a position against personal freedom, which is not compatible with being a liberal. Naturally, you can fall somewhere on the spectrum, but traditionalism and liberalism are conflicting viewpoints.

With values, I could have added clarification. There are values that each person has for themselves, and there are values as a social construct. I hoped it was clear which ones were meant in the paragraph you quoted given the context.

I was a library aid in middle school. Easiest class ever. I just might become a librarian for real.

I have a 'library' of games. Does that count?

I also organised all my 'special interest' bookmarks on my tablet into separate folders :)
