Issues with stone hatchet

So I've completed the bounty's that unlock the location of the stone hatchet, I get within about 10 feet of the market and my ENTIRE game crashes. Anyone else having this issue or know how I can fix it? Didn't have any issues with the revolver but I've tried 7 times in a row and EVERY one crashes the game and sends me back to home.

if your on PS4, try rebuilding your database. For PC I belive there is another function to check your files. This should fix it.

I don't even get the f*cking mission.. i got the 1st message saying that maude will contact me, and then never again.. i've been playing like 6 hours after that, swapping sessions, and in 2 different days, still nothing.

Did you read the message by checking it on your phone? If not try that, the bounties get GPS locations once you check the message on your phone, maybe the same apllies for the initial message.

Yeah i did, yesterday i got the 1st one, then because i was in an mc company i had to do a mission, when it finished, i went to see if it was available to do and nothing.. then like 1 hour later maude sent the message again, then never again the coordinates.. This mission is really bugged for me.. unlike the revolver one which was always activated.

Very buggy here too. I got through the bounty missions then the treasure chest appears on the map, but when I go to it nothing happens and I can't find any way to open it/pick it up.

 

I did run the check files command (I'm on PC), but it kept losing connection and I had to cancel it in the end. I also now have no sound when I select the new radio station, and my club has no people in it and no music. Seems my data files for the DLC are incomplete or corrupted.

After eventually completing verifying files all these issues are now fixed, so it seems if you stop in the middle of verifying files the game may still run but some content may be missing.

this happened to me in another area of map , was doing exec search down by the beach , got the hatchet out to murder a few npc,s and game crashed , didnt try again

Oh I should have just rebuilt the PS4 database? Great, good to know. I sent multiple bug reports with attached videos of me dressed as a cowboy murdering innocent people at the beach with a stone axe. I'm on whatever list that goes on now.

This issue also happens with me if I trigger the rampage mode and then switch to another weapon, it goes back to the console's dashboard with a error check. 

 

I bet the rampage mode has something to do with it.

Maude texts you. Then you receive an email from her a few minutes later.

Have you tried waiting in an Invite Only Session? Maybe the Treasure Hunt is buggy in public, colliding with the event system or something.

Just open rdr2 and check

 

It can probably be mentioned a few more times that you won't get messages from Maude while in ceo/MC!
