If it's the former:

 

- Prison guard takes point and leads (having full access to weapons), while prisoner escorts Rashkovsky - yeah, a skilled player can do a perfectly good job leading the way as the prisoner, but as designed, the prison guard is best-equipped for covering the prisoner.

 

- Demolition should focus on taking down jets, then keeping the landing spot clear (which doesn't have to be Sandy Shores - Sandy Shores is the most obvious, but there are alternatives, like the clearing near Madrazo's country estate). Just don't get too trigger-happy, or else you could easily catch the plane in the blast, or have burned-out cop cars/helicopters block the plane from taking off.

 

- Plane isn't in any rush to get to Sandy Shores - you need to be at the Vinewood sign with a minute to spare, really. Once the jets arrive, you can take advantage of the AI being denser than a gas giant by ...getting behind the jets and tailing them. :beerhat:  Give the demolition player a clear shot to blow them out of the sky, then aim to land somewhere nice and clear, and don't get boxed in by cop cars. You don't want to stay on the ground too long (because you'll get swamped by enemies who'll block your takeoff), so aim to swoop down just as the prison team arrive at the designated spot.

Yeah - likewise, the prisoner really ought to just hoover up any dropped enemy weapons while the guard moves on ahead.

There's an issue with people with poor internet (like me) whereby if you are anything other than Demo (chopper pilot) during the finale, you'll be unable to lose wanted stars in the Cesna.

You will literally have to fly around for 10 minutes before it un-glitches.

 

If someone gets cop stars in a vehicle I'm in, we can never lose the stars unless we stop, get out, and get back in.

 

If your upload speed is no .5mbps or higher you'll get this regularly... mine is 0.35mbps... so I have to be Demo in finale or it's a looong wait for the game to unglitch and let me lose the stars.

To add the above put your highest ranked player as prison officer - especially if there’s only one in the team +rank 120 as the Minigun is useful against the noose.

 

Demo is the easiest job - put your least experience on that. You don’t really need to take the jets out if the pilot gets behind it and tails it.

 

Pilot is an easy job provided the can land ok - but some newbies can’t fly at all so beware when playing with randoms.

Just make sure the demo understands that there are AA weapons in the Prison that will kill him/her in one hit if they get too close. It's crucial to keep a big buffer if you go the air support route, much bigger than you need in freeroam when flying near the Prison. 

 

If the ground team is good then they won't need air support, so it can be safer just to have the demo twiddle their thumbs until the ground team leaves the Prison. 

 

On the other hand, air support can speed up the Prison run. I tend to worry more about restarts than time, so for me it's just a question of how good the ground team is.
