Treasure Hunt 2 Now Live! Tomahawk and $250K

Bounty hunting needs to become a thing to do, not just part of the treasure hunt. Like every 15 minutes or so, you get an email to get a bounty.

 

Also, with 5 alive bounties, and getting 25 kills in a mission, all in all a nice chunk of change.

I did the treasure hunt on pc it works all fine and get the 250 after 25 kills.

on the 1st bounty i tried to knock him out unarmed but i somehow killed him by punching him.

but on bounties 2 - 5 i used my pipe wrench and they submitted.

all of it took place in sandy shores & paleto bay.

and i completed the 25 kills with the stone axe and got $250k.

This was actually quite fun to do! A mate and myself ended up doing it in no time, something different and cool.

I did it in a public lobby with an APC. Always shot a few rounds into the criminal's belly to make him/her get into the vehicle.

 

When a jet, Deluxo or Oppressor was near and I had the criminal aboard, I just entered passive. Surprisingly that didn't end the mission or something (wouldn't have surprised me because Rockstar).

 

Had trouble finding the criminals in Paleto Bay and Vespucci. Haven't gotten my $250k yet.

Not sure how ya'll managed to kill any of them by punching. I knifed one in the stomach with the switchblade and it didn't kill them, and the last chick I smacked in the face with a baseball bat and it didn't kill her either.

Co those not getting the money, you did kill 25 times while in rage mode, right? That seems to be the requirement from what I've seen.

5 bountys/ targets, when you deliver them (not kill them) by maude you get 10k for each, a total of 50k you can do it with a helicopter, al the targets follow you in to the helicopter, so delivering them goes fast. I ve done all 5 in about 30 minutes. Then i started the contact mission death metal for my 25 kills with the tomahawk. And collected the 250k (and 20k for doing death metal on hard and longer then 10 minutes) i think it costed me at the most one hour and got a total of 320k.

 

* I hope the 250k bonus also counts for my second character

I wasn't in rage mode. It just said something like completed and that I will be able to use the tomahawk in RDR2.

So do we know if all 25 kills need to be in rage mode? Mine were NOT all in RM so that COULD explain it however I did get the RDR2 message.

The objective is to make them drop their weapon and surrender, not killing them... you monster!

Killing them netts you half the cash, which isn’t that big anyway. I chased them in my car and gently bumped into them to make them surrender, what they do quick. I only got out of my car so they know to follow me in there. Easy peasy hunts.

I don't know if anyone still cares at this point, as I'm a little late to the party, or if this is even a good spot to post it, but if you really wanna cheese this, just nudge the target with your car. That'll put them in a state of surrender and all that's left for you to do is get out and give them a stern look.

That'll keep you out of reach of any broken bottles.

So, I am just curious. I'm not pissed off or trying to talk sh*t to you or anything of that nature. I'm just kinda trying to dig to the root of how you posted-

I'm playing as I'm posting, and I didn't think this was important enough information to merit looking into the rest of the posts to see if anyone already said this, but I did think that it might be important enough to post just in case it hadn't. I don't usually have useful information on the game, I'm mostly on the question-posting end of the spectrum.

However, you now have me curious as to what I've overlooked.

the upcoming drone taser weapon doesn't count.

Ah ok then. The post directly above yours was posted about 30 mins prior, and literally says the same thing you did lol.

 

I just have noticed a trend over the years of people asking questions and/or making comments that were literally talked about on the same page they are on.

 

No biggie, was pondering if there were a way to let people be more informed or aware or something. No harm done or anything, just trying to make the forums a better bit by bit.

Wow, I had fun with these. Like, just having a few more PvE diversion-style objectives was so enjoyable. While I think I'd like a little more challenge - maybe a LA Noire-style foot chase or a tougher hand-to-hand fight - doing these little jobs for Maude was such a nice break from the rest of freeroam. The Business Battles are similarly cool, though the nature of them needing other players in the session definitely means I'm missing out most of the time.

 

Also, I'm kinda jealous, reading that some of you guys got to go out of Los Santos for your targets. Every single one of mine was in the city, and two in the same spot. Gave them all a tap with the ol' $5,000 flashlight, then the ride of their life in my Stafford as we cruised up to Maude's. I'd bet a few of them were ready to just throw themselves at me as long as they got to say they rode in an Enus. Then, when I got the axe (which I'm disappointed wasn't stuck in a tree), I stalked a crowd of people outside the Ten Cent Theater and... blacked out for a while. Woke up covered in blood and $250,000 richer, so I guess I did good. Seriously, though, the rage effect is soooo powerful. Taking shotgun blasts to the face has never been so satisfying.

I stand by my previous not-important-but-maybe-a-little-important-info explanation, but that was really stupid.

Double stupid too, as I did go through all five pages (in a hurry) after you replied, so I missed it twice. You know, when I fail, I fail with flair.

 

Tell you what. I'll let my boss know I'm gonna have to work less so I can keep "playing GTA" and "posting about GTA" in separate timeslots. ;o)

 

For now all I have is an apology. Also, lots of excuses about how I usually don't do that, but really... Who's gonna buy it?

From what I can tell, there's possibly dozens - and also that the various NPCs and locations are fixed. And you can get them in any order - I've seen people start with the same guy as I got as my last bounty, so the game's just five at random from a fixed list of however-many.

 

As in, if you get a specific location, it's always going to be the same person, in the same place - there's a lady in a varsity top sat on her front step at Paleto Bay, for example (one of mine, and also shows up exactly the same in some videos I've seen), and likewise a bald guy in a sweatshirt up on a balcony in Sandy Shores (who looked an awful lot like Dan Houser to me - to the point where I was wondering if that was a deliberate easter egg! ).

 

Hmm - wonder if we can maybe work out a list of every possible NPC/location... There are a few different places for the hatchet to show up, too.

 

Also, is it confirmed that unlocking it for one character on an account unlocks it for both - ? Last time, you got to do the revolver treasure hunt twice, with different clues/locations, and get the $250k a second time.

I'm blue this isn't a thing. Left a couple where I found them, had a good fight, delivered one, drove a couple out to the desert. They won't be missed

Any time I try to shoot while in rage mode my game crashes. Hope they fix this soon.

Well this was fun. Did it yesterday with my main character. Today switched to my guy and found out he already got the hatchet

I was looking forward to doing more bounties. Oh well, fortunately I have another account to go do the bounties still.

 

There seem to be lots of locations, my girl bounty was in Rockford Hills near the fountain, got a bloke in Paleto Bay house porch. Paleto truck stop hobo camp and Sandy Shores, and one in Grapeseed.

My treasure was at Martin's ranch.

 

Did my 25 kills on the beach while doing Fortified to prevent cops from showing.
