That, and R*'s track record for going back to older content and f***ing it up in the process is not exactly great... :/

Quite a few issues with an otherwise noble concept

1). Rcokstar never revisit content or add to it, the most they will do is tweak it to sort any quick money making glitches. EVERY new DLC Bunkers, Facility, Hangers, Garages, Ceo Buildings and Night Clubs, once the dripfeed is done so is Rcokstar's interest in it.

2). This game has so many issues and problems that Rcokstar should be fixing these long before adding new content, ANY new content in fact but fixing problems is lower on the list than harmonising all the DLC we have had so that it all seems to work as one massive business rather than several separate businesses being run by a single over worked gimp (i.e the player)

3). Do we really need this for the yacht. I get that as a role play local it would be nice and maybe with some tweaks it could be linked to your club to help promote and improve the pathetic income but really it's safe to say the yacht is by far and away the most expensive and biggest mistake of most players GTAO career and serves little if any purposes, I don't even use it as a location for cover from jet griefers any more it is the most pointless addition to GTAO by far. Long before adding Nightclub content to it I would prefer Rcokstar gave us the ability to sell it because mine would be gone within seconds of logging in.

I totally agree there are soooo many fixes that should have already been resolved.  These are all great points!

I just hope R* learns the lessons from GTAO (GTAV) and makes changes in the next GTAO game.

What lesson exactly should they learn from the highest grossing entertainment product in the history of mankind?

I swear, those of you that spend so much time in this fishbowl can't see the forest for the trees--you may not like some or many of the things in this game, but those spending large amounts of their discretionary income apparently do.

Here's the thing:

1. Most of that was made from the initial last-gen release of GTA V.

2. When you've got a huge company with a monolithic IP, where the only question with sales is 'just how many megabucks is it going to make?', and not 'will it succeed or fail', then you'll still make said megabucks even when you're arguably making mistakes, or bleeding customer goodwill. That's why EA never really bombs in the long term, despite various controversies over the last decade - yeah, someone like former EA CEO John Riccitiello might have to fall on their sword as a token gesture (and then get a 'golden parachute' from the company, and ultimately land on their feet as ...CEO of Unity Technologies, the company behind the Unity game engine), but the company itself will just keep motoring on unscathed. "Too big to fail" comes to mind...

...or it'll be a case more like WCW, where bad decisions took ages to actually start impacting the company - so those mistakes weren't seen as mistakes, because business was still hot. By the time business started to suffer, there wasn't time to take any kind of effective action to 'right the ship'.

3. Maybe it'll be like so many other things, where the series mutates into something radically different, picks up a whole new audience, and so R* can afford to shed the sort of player who'd appreciate a more grounded/believable GTA game, in favour of ...'R*-created mods', basically. Bit like how Fallout shed the old fans when it became an RPG-shooter hybrid, the old guard of Star Trek fans aren't who the new 'action-adventure blockbuster' films/shows are geared towards, and so on - it's no skin off R*'s nose as a business, but it sucks if you're someone who liked something, and that thing stops existing because it's been supplanted by something else under the same name (and there's no alternative version of the old thing to turn to instead).

Someone gets it.

Just because something sold well, doesn't mean it is perfect or can't be improved.

'It sold so well' -so I guess having a damn phone and 30 loading screens in the clouds is the way to make games.

Yellow Dog with Cone

As much as I'd like for R* to improve legacy content, I don't think that they will do it I'm afraid.

I mean, see how the "business consolidation" thing was done: instead of unifying Warehouses, Businesses, Vehicle Warehouses, Bunkers and Hangars systems into one, they just made a MOC 2.0 and called it a day.

Honestly, I expected to be able to steal Crates and Supplies, to be able to Cargobob Crate and Supply vehicles, to being unable to lock on onto Crates and MC Business Supplies and sales, to be able to buy Supplies for my MC Businesses as a CEO, true consolidation instead of another paywall.

But hey, they added liveries and more customization options for cars like the Prairie so it's actually possible, who knows?

If you make a proper petition, I'll sign it!

now, where's DemonicSpaceman saying that petitions don't work? 😂

It's the same as global warming - as in, saying "how can this business be making bad decisions, when it's only ever making more and more money?" is like saying "how is global warming real, when we just had snow?" :sigh:

It's all about the long-term outcomes - and like with global warming, waiting until you start seeing stuff go to sh*t means you've probably left it too late to change course... :turn:

Completely forgot about that strange icon out in the ocean. On topic If the yatchs had more love and a bit more use than I would use it more. Shame we can’t put it on Graig’s list.

Yes, I think yachts should be improved. Ability to choose their names should be cut out in favor of one cutscene with your captain saying one of the random 9 names provided by R* you need to pay for.

With all seriousness, though, yes, I'd like yachts to be improved - currently they are useless, and I can't recall when I visited mine for the last time. They are in many ways like clubs - useless wastes of money, empty inside and not being able to pay back for themselves. I mean, yachts are quite literally empty, just looks at the bar shelves on your deck, or lack of any chairs, tables, anything.

But I doubt it'll ever happen - R* got enough suckers already to buy them (earning tons of money from Shark Cards in the process), and aside from saying "I'm rich", they have nothing to offer, while new additions like nightclubs at least seem fresh for a moment, before they inevitably gain strongly negative reputation like yachts or hangars for being nothing more than money drains and no one will want them anymore.

I think I'd love to see nightclubs utilizing yachts and throwing some parties on them, with DJs, and blinking lights, and NPCs dancing. It could serve as temporary income boost, or allow you to assign second DJ there for good and have another permanent source of cash.

Yeah, agreed on yachts. But it's not just those, also other older content should get a bump up to the new standards in content. A lot of cars are still broken as you cant put a custom plate or the race cage cant have a changeable secondary paint color. I like what they did with the hauler custom etc in this dlc but they should do other cars aswell. Benny's hasnt had any new cars in quite some time either.

Also new interiors for appartments / stilt houses?

I kinda wished owning a Nightclub would have NPCs party in the interior and music equipment outside the yacht. I haven't touched the Yacht in 2 years and I forgot I even owned one.

It would be cool if you could customise or change the yacht's helicopter. Maybe limit it to passenger helicopters only.

It would be nice if we could spawn purchased watercraft and amphibious vehicles too.

Here's how I Invision having an after hours upgrade to the yacht.

They add an option on the night club management tab to host on the yacht. It costs 100k. The bonus is increased threshold for nightclub daily earnings. On the cheap yacht increases to 15k tops a day. Mid range to 20k and top range 25k. The threshold lasts until you switch sessions.

If a player assaults your yacht your popularity tanks and theirs takes a viagara.

DJ takes over your helipad for his/her/whatever pronouns a hunter attack chopper uses gear.

Your bouncers will occasionally throw unwanted people overboard.

How about an office party dlc. There's a punchbowl, chips and dips. Also there's a stick so you can playboffice limbo. "How low can you go!"  Annnnd there's a copy machine so you can Xerox pictures of your bum when you get drunk ha ha!

^ This.

Also why not let us use the dance menu in any interior?

Can't tell you the amount of times I've been stuck on crowd control in Pac Stand, bored and had the urge to grind against terrified hostages.

I'm disappointed that this update didn't come with any new hair styles.

It's an outrage that we haven't gotten any more hairstyles since, like what is it, 2015/16?

The only decent hairstyle for me is the ponytail but it's time for something new, like a decent looking buzzcut or long hair. It's unacceptable and even weird that they have neglected this quite popular feature.

At least now you can do the uncle disco etc. anywhere/any time - sure beats making those chandeliers swing for the millionth time.

Yeah I don't get why they don't have monthly updates for hair styles or something. All they care about is vehicles and heists though.

R* should add sound equipments throughout the Yacht. Yacht's bar should be updated to be similar to Nightclubs. Helicopter should be changeable between non-weaponized helis you own, same goes for watercraft.

Yacht's name should be presets instead. And most of all, update the Yacht to properly work when it rains.

Though there have been some additions to older features before (like more cars being added to Benny's, but that's kind of an exception I think) Rockstar seems to typically make something and then just ignore that it exists later on.

Almost everything from businesses to properties could have been connected somehow. But it's easier to just make standalone features that have nothing to do with everything else. You make a new business with a couple of "new" missions that are just different versions of stuff we've already played and everyone shuts up for a little while. Couple cars, little voice acting and motion capture and you're done.

They're starting to look like Blizzard. They added some stuff over the past few years in expansions (a farm, a garrison where you're actually commander, special legendary weapons that you keep throughout an expansion and power up) but their method is to just say "new expansion, f*ck the old sh*t". They probably feel it's too much of a hassle and that not enough players care.

I've got a lot of ideas about what they could've done better with GTA:O and I've also read a lot of great suggestions on this forum. But really what you need is not for Rockstar to read it. What you need is to have such a game made by a studio that gives a f*ck about the players and GENUINELY wants to create the best game ever (you know what I mean) instead of just whatever will keep money rolling in for a couple years before abandoning it.

Appealing to Rockstar to do ANY of the hundred things people have requested to improve the game is a pointless endeavour.

I say that knowing full well that some posters here are aware that it's only fantasy talk. But just saying it in case some others may actually think it'll do something.

I doubt they'll do it not just because of laziness, but the fear that they'll bungle some of the coding together. I think gtao is at a point where most of the codings are starting to become a tangled mess ot the point you change on thing, five more problems arise. I dunno, though, it's not TF2.

Most if not all games with 2 or more years of continual expansions and updates say "f*ck that old sh*t"

Destiny comes to mind. You grind your as off to get the 5RNG drops a week hoping your drops are better than what you already have then once the next update arrives the noob gear outranks your uber rare worked your ass off for 3 months only to be viable for a week gear.

Of course, you can always find your own way to spruce up your yacht to make it a bit more flashy.

Would be cool just to be able to add some moving lights to the outside of the yacht, would look cool at night. Maybe a mission where you can have one of the acts performing on the yacht, would need a louder sound system tho.
