After 314 tries, it finally happened.  Instead of Epsilon it should be Pi

 

 

Minor note, this is a double-sided shirt as there's a tiny bit of text on the back

Yea I think it will be one of the rarest items in game. Most players dont even know it exists. The ones that do will just give up eventually leaving only the dedicated collectors.

I got mine on about the 30th or 40th attempt (estimating).  I didn't really grind the attempts either - just anytime I ended up inside my nightclub, I would do shots of MacBeth until I spawned somewhere outside.  Could easily still be doing it but I got lucky pretty quickly.

 

I agree that true RNG for stuff like this is pretty poor.  It would be better if they made it so that a counter was kept and if you didn't randomly get it in the first 50 attempts, the next one would automatically give it to you.  Nobody should have to do this 300+ times for one shirt.

I'm sure there is a cooldown timer you don't know about.

Just try once or twice a day and you will get it at some point.

But that doesn't make it rare.

Rare would be if they only allowed 1,000 people to get it and then no one else could ever get it.

I suppose it is, however it is logical.

It isn't rare if everyone can get it.

It may be tedious to obtain, or simply a PITA, but not rare....

Just because everyone can get it does not take away from the fact that many will never get it. If 1000 out of a million players ever get the shirt then its rare dude.

How about the Verified shirt?  Should be super "rare", because Rockstar only verifies so many user-created things.  But anyone with a Combat MG could have gotten one on two occasions.

 

How about any shirts that were only available from Special Crates?  That opportunity ended on PS4/XB1/PC almost 3 years ago.

 

How about the Elite Challenge shirts?  Sure, anyone could get them today, but it's not easy to do so AND you need 3 other people to hold up their end.  It's pretty "rare" for a player to have them, even though they're currently available.

 

 

The question is, "Does 'rare' mean limited availability or limited achievement?"

Yes, I would think so, which is why I didn't do it that way.  I'm happy I just got lucky by attempting a few times every time I played.  That worked out for me.  But some people get kind of OCD about collecting stuff like this, and developers are aware of that fact when they add these little Easter eggs.  Just my opinion perhaps, but I think it's bad form to knowingly torment people who just want some in-game item or content.  I feel the same about the Gunrunning alien mission, which I personally will never see because there is no way in hell I will ever do that many resupplies.  They should use a little common sense and not bury these things so deep that only the most committed grinders will experience them.

 

For me, the ideal "rare" things are ones that are less known secrets, and if you don't know the trick you just don't have it.  Not everyone owns the Mariachi Tornado, for instance, but if they all wanted one, grinding their asses down to a smooth, flat surface would not help obtain it.  I don't even mind if it's difficult to get; I just don't think it should require players to be repetitively doing the same boring thing hundreds of times.  That's not good gameplay, it's just annoyance.

Good call. I think you should. I was so close to doing that myself and then another 20 tries and I got it, but that was ONLY in the high 400's. The damn thing takes the piss.

This should have been a secret treasure hunt type of thing like single player.  The random spawn thing seems broken for most players. But we should NOT have to do 100’s of shots to just keep respawning at the same spot

Everbody's different and everybody has different goals. The main thing is being an achiever in whatever goals you set yourself. It doesn't matter what it is, however big or small. Set yourself a goal to becoming a more understanding person. Good luck!

Have u tried making a 2nd character and try switching back and forth?  Maybe something is stuck with your character profile?

600 plus is a bit of a joke , mind you i swear i saw another person on reddit say it took him 1600 plus trys and still not got it, its not as rare as people think imo , but the gridlock solomun special is what i would call rare ,what with the various internet forums n such the kliffom shirt will be worn by many

Likewise though, I gave up on that egg as after 1000 crates, 600 resupplies was a stretch to say the least, lol. Crazy numbers really.

GR at the least should have provided a model UFO or unlock the Space Docker for purchase

 

I'm waiting to see the response on that ticket before trying again lol I remember for a time people lied to get Asshole and Beerhats so fingers crossed this works
