Do the levels of armor plating have any impact at all—is it just for looks, or does it actually do something? And do the more expensive options do more than the less expensive options?

its just aesthetics and money grab
EDIT: max armor on speedo will make backside more protective against bullets and only on speedo will block proxys form exiting (choose on speedo second form last armor plating) other cars max armor is fine, they work as armor only in nightclub stock selling missions and each upgrade level is different then, check how many crates there is to know which truck/car you get.

First, as a matter of personal opinion, using the drones is deliciously funny - in said two missions, you can happily zap away at the guards, and seeing them drop and twitch evidently triggers the darker side of my humor :)  (I think there should be more weapons/ammunition like that)

Second: Those two missions are incredibly easy and quick money, and you can even rush them by ignoring the mission prompts, just get to the well known start points in any quick vehicle you like, forget about the drones, and clear the field old school. Diamond Shopping is an easy 30K in practically guaranteed under 5 min and no sweat.

Thank you Lucy. I was really hoping someone would post a good reason to get a drone. It does seem like it would be really fun to use.

An easy 30k is always nice too.

Not entirely accurate.

Higher armour on the speedo, for instance, makes the back end bullet proof.

I've not tested them all out myself but others have posted plenty about the levels of armour on the vehicles and what differences they make. It's more than just aesthetics.

i forgot to mention those armors make difference in sale mission only, in freemode backbulletproofness may even be right and fact you cant drop proxy mines with max armor whether in mission or freemode

Still not exactly accurate.

While freeroam versions have no real benefit from the upgrades the sale vehicles do.

It is only the Speedo which suffers from the bug with proxy mines, the Mule and Pounder have fully functioning mines with max armour.

People need all the info not just someone posting crap about money grabs or whatever. Sale versions do have benefits from the upgrades. The speedo has a glitch where proxy mines are disabled for max armour. The armour on sale versions is more than aesthetic or a money grab, the armour upgrades upgrade the armour.

For "regular" freeroam versions, armour is cosmetic for the most part.

I WAS SAYING on the sale mission the armor has effect, in freeroam only backside is protected from bullets at most which concludes to it being aesthetic 99% because how many people have patience to wait days to actually sell night club stock. ALSO i will be more specific then, max armor on speedo stopped proxy mines from exiting, i saw the complain comments regarding this and tested that part myself.
ALL i trying to do is help question askers and maybe forgetting some details BUT that gives you NO RIGHT to quote me and diminish my effort even after ive added forgotten info, so here you were bad person, all you do is try to bash me while you should add your point of view or extra details WHITOUT quoting me or making things personal.

Chill dude.

You're answering a question in a topic that is specifically for questions about the AH update, and stuck to the top of the sub-forum. The answers need to be accurate otherwise you will only confuse other people.

At no point was I trying to diminish your effort or bash you. It was clarification because, as you have said, you forgot some information - some very important information. Don't take it so personally (or if you're going to take someone correcting/expanding on your answers personally, ensure you're correct and complete in what you are posting).

Your original answer, before your edit, was only;

This is more than just "forgetting" some information, you totally neglected all of the information. It's not bashing or diminishing you by correcting this major inaccuracy. Take a chill pill and step back if you feel I was doing anything other than correcting your mis-information.

Next-Gen Vercettis

Scenario:

I register as MC president from inside clubhouse. Go to my coke business and resupply before retiring after 45 minutes.

Later/next day/whenever (in a different session), I register again as before and sell the coke within 45 minutes, retiring again after the sale.

Question: Will I have paid any MC business fees?

Yes, you will avoid paying fees if you keep your session length less or equal to 45 minutes or disband your MC in that time span and never register again in that specific session, its that easy

@A.C.M.

Thanks for the reply. Only have MC businesses running for nightclub now but getting so bored of TB/CEO grind while waiting for bunker stock to accrue I want something extra to do. Even MC resupply missions lol.

Sorry if this is going off topic but one more question, if I have 100k of stock in my hangar and there is a 2x event week, will the stock still be worth 100k or double? I enjoy the resupply missions but not the sale missions so considering filling hangar for (hopefully) a 2x week in future.

It'll be worth double if it's a double week.

Same for cargo warehouses - it's why I have 4 of 5 large filled but unsold and why I have a partially full hangar that I refuse to sell (however may still not bother with even for 2x)

I don't mind the warehouse jobs, super quick at the minute with the Oppressor Mk2 and good RP too. They're a good time filler while waiting for job cool downs.

Thanks for the reply, filling an empty hangar solo should keep me busy for a while!

I've read it somewhere here, that I/E and cargo crates can be done in an Invite Only lobby. Is that the only two or is there a definitive list somewhere?

No business activities can be conducted in invite only lobbies.

VIP work, clubhouse contracts and client jobs can be done in invite only.

You can get around this by making a solo public lobby, methods to achieve this depend on the platform you play on.

Thank you sir for clearing this up for me. I used the method you mention, but others still join in the lobby at times. Recently I was just about to complete a car export when one person joined the lobby and blew the car up before I knew he even came in. And I checked before starting the delivery.

If you're on PS4 try a lower MTU setting. I generally go for 630. Other players still occasionally join but lag out as soon as we are in close proximity. This is only my personal experience though, your milage may vary.

This is still a b*tch during I/E sales, the car will set on fire if the last player leaves during the sale. Annoying, but a small price to pay.

Xbox One NAT test gives an "unjoinable by randoms" lobby every time. It also causes you to only be able to connect to a few players and often get the "unable to join session" etc. notifications if you want to play with/against others though.

Tested it a few times while I AFK. Before I leave it I'll test the NAT, wait for everyone to leave and then AFK. Next day, 20 odd hours later, still alone. Friends can still join too but wont be put in it when loading in. Worked this way every time I tested it out.

Hmmm. Me and my wife are on Xbox One and have used the NAT test method for months. Sometimes no one joins in for hours, but usually one or more show up when you least expect it. I check often for others but I've had up to 4 others come in before I noticed.

To be honest, I only ever did it while AFK to test things rather than to play in an empty session (personally I prefer to have the danger of others in the session when I play). However, I never come back to anyone in the lobby and my recent players shows nobody joined.

Pulling the cable out for 10 seconds resulted in an empty lobby but players would join pretty quickly.

Do you share the xbox or is it one for each and you play together?

I have joined a friend's "Natted" session before and others have joined afterwards - I'm thinking that solo, NAT is great, nobody connects to you so you wont get "visitors" however, as soon as another player joins you other players connect to them rather than you and join the session. The more players you let in the easier it may be for others to join the session as there are more people for them to connect to.

I've not really tested NAT with multiple in the session, however can do next time I decide to AFK as I have a second xbox.

Is selling each individual Goods type as soon as it fills up the most lucrative way of selling stock?

Selling Cargo, Guns, Coke, Meth & Cash every 20 hours (i.e. when coke, meth & cash are all full) is the best method.

Running resupplies and doing the Terrorbyte missions can be fun with the mkii, its actually enjoyable now to do the resupplies and you can do the merryweather job sitting on mkii, pretty cool. I do alot of MC work so here's my two cents. All my businesses are in sandy shore and you can get them all very close to one another and with the mki about 30 seconds to go from one to the other. Meth is my favorite because almost all the sell runs can be done full and solo. Coke pays more but its harder to get the easy solo sell runs. MC I would say is more relaxed so I tend to do the sell runs after another intense session for a little adrenaline cool down. If you want to use MC for your mkii sell everything and leave them empty so you dont get raided. They will still produce for the NC.

You can do a solo sessions and sit for hours with one other player and not get joined. Once you you hit 3 players its the magic number to grow the room. So I have sat for 12 hours or more afk solo with my "friend" (my other xbox). I use afk mission mode to grow my products/use the 15k resupply trick, and then clear the nat before sell runs when I don't want any surprises or I do small sell runs to honeypot other players so I know who the riffraff is to tag for destruction. Honeypotting the diamonds and gold is another method I use to tag users for annihilation. If you are lucky enough to get the Diamond job with the glitch where the diamonds are stuck inside the wall it can be a real massacre lol.

I've made some posts you can look for ways you can use the second Xbox to your benefit in sell runs. I use the taxi a lot with my second player and you can use it in sell missions which saves a lot of time. You take vehicle 1 across the island, put them in a taxi to return for the second sell item then take your other character to take a sell run and return and your first character will be back saving you a few minutes of time from his taxi ride. If there is 3 long distance items like Bunker insurgents I take the first one most of the way and have him taxi back while I take the second item and finish the first item and then the guy has returned to make the final run. Just  make sure you are watching your controllers so you don't time out. The second xbox is great if you are grinding!

We only have one Xbox so we each made a separate player on the same account and just take turns playing. When playing a NAT session solo and inviting no one else, most of the time one or more people will just pop in at some point. Every now and then no one else joins for a couple hours but that is rare.

If we could afford it, I love to be able to play at the same time with her on separate Xbox's and TV's.

I play with my 12 year old son on the other xbox and its an absolute blast and nice to have a partner to jump in and help you in PVP and of course grinding and business runs. You can teach your kids a lot about life in the second life of the GTA world. By the way I found a brand new refurbed XBox one on Amazon for $170 so you can get some deals out there if you look around. That means for $250 you can get xbox, the game and 1 year Xbox live account. That used to be about 2 months worth of cable bills so it's actually not too bad. Cheers!

Yep. Something about whole family gold where, if one account on the console has gold then the other accounts can play online. Basically set up home xbox so that person a's console is person b's home xbox and person b's console is person a's home xbox. All digital games and gold are shared on both consoles. It's what I do for my second console (for boosting/achievement hunting/etc).

One subscription, one purchase of digital content available on two consoles (people also do this to game share, not exactly how MS wanted it but as always, people find ways to misuse everything).

Edit: It also works with GamePass and EA Access.
