Pounder, Mule and Speedo Custom - What actually are they/what do they do?

They're used as delivery vehicles too, judging on what the game says. All I know is for the speedo custom, heavy armor plating still lets you use your own guns, so that's a start.

Yes, you can switch away from the remote guns to a personal sidearm

 

None of them can tank explosives, no matter the vehicle no matter the armor. At least the roaming versions cant

Considering the amount of homing missiles, explosive ammo and a sizable militia's worth of military hardware available to players with just a push of a button, you'd think that armoured van and truck stats would compensate accordingly and be able to take a few hits. One-hit kills are just no fun at all in any game, especially when the odds are already stacked against you in terms of speed, maneuverability and lock-on abilities.

 

The MOC Phantom cab has been an absolute joy to use for this very reason - It's strength means that having explosions raining down on me as I swerve all over the road is actually really exciting. If these new ones are weaker than a Rhino Tank.... well, it'll just be another excuse not to buy them or play the content.

It might have been placebo, but I think they might have actually made the armor plating bulletproof like they're supposed to be.

Windows of the Speedo are bullet resistant, the plates on the side do nothing from what I can tell. Front plates seem to work though .Ramming power is sh*te and can't take a lick of explosive damage.

Hilariously enough, you can lock onto your own with the homing launcher.

Is there a benefit to buying and customizing all 3? Im wondering if for example speedo custom and pounder custom are used more often then maybe I can save money and either not buy or not upgrade the mule.

 

Also considering the 40% off, I'm guessing most of you guys are gonna buy it outright instead of waiting on the trade price? (Will the discount stick around forever?)

Its a stock Speedo when you get it, you need to add armour and weapons yourself.

Which one is the fastest? Guess I'll only add performance upgrades since I only sell on solo lobbies. I think NPCs aren't a threat to justify miniguns and armor, right?

Don't even bother with armour.

The Pounder and Speedo are on par for speed. You'd probably want the Speedo as its free aside from upgrades and A LOT smaller to dodge around buildings etc...

Enemies players can't lock on the Speedo, and can surive 5 rockets. [VEHICLE SELLS]

The personal speedo custom explodes with one explosive [PERSONAL VEHICLE]

 

I belive that are the same for the others, but i don't know.

 

The wedge doesnt work: STUPID VEHICLE, I really hate this things. WHY? It's to hard do the same like the Boxville or Phantom Wedge? Rockstar?

The Speedos Mounted .50 turret is disgustingly powerful.

Heavy armour makes the back windows bullet proof.

I'll take the Speedo just for the sake of being able to own one and actually change the color and wheels and add performance upgrades. Don't care about the armour and weapons honestly

Basically you're buying these and paying for all of the upgrades so that every few hours when you sell some product, you'll be slightly more bulletproof and have some better weapons while you do a 10-15 minute sale. 

 

In every other aspect and purpose they're functionally pointless. The wedges don't work, the weapons themselves kind of suck (except the .50 cal), and when you're using them outside of sales you can be instantly vaporized by any of the dozens and dozensof explosive sources available in free roam. 

 

They're basically there as a money sink for the low info buyers. The same ones who deck out their weaponized tampas in heavy armor plating without realizing they still have the exact same protection as a normal car.

The Speedo has it's wheels set to Pure White if you change them from Stock to any other wheel that can be painted..
