Chaff is supposed to be popped before you engage in combat - had you popped it just 3 seconds before, the Deluxo would be unable to auto-lock on you  

 

Edit: to avoid confusion, Chaff doesn't disable incoming missiles on you. Chaff has to be popped before your opponent can auto-lock onto you and take the shot.

My fav bike is still listed as a Wolfbane. I sold that bike a year ago at least and used this Nimbus itsover9000! a lot more already.

No, even though its officially a Motorcycle other flags class it as an air vehicle and thus you cant do anything that requires a "Land Vehicle"

And I've learned it the hard way that I should pop chaff way before engaging to account for lag. Fortunately the lost time isn't too big of an impact for the Broomstick II since its missiles are not the sh*tty aircraft variety.

 

On the other hand, I've discovered that you can outrun missiles on a straight line under the effect of the speed glitch. I can't see Rockstar leaving it alone at all.

I met up with another small youtuber to try this out versus the Hunter, with people I can better vouch for as being good (rather than just randoms in free mode). The odds for the broomstick did go up, though for the most part it tended to be a kind of stalemate. They'd follow me up all the way to the top of the map, I'd gain altitude faster though. Then if no one died by the time we reached the top, I could pop chaff - then just lose altitude quicker than they could.

 

Ascending I'd take potshots with barrages, even drop bombs. While the broomstick was above I'd just try get right under it, get it caught up in the blades.

 

Basically, either I would get a lucky hit at some point - or I would eventually slip up and get locked onto (usually relaxing too much, letting them get too high).

 

We did try with the gun too, but while it obviously helped - it wasn't quite the game-changer I thought it'd be. The broomstick was just too small and quick to get hit for the most part. Only at the very end my gunner finally got to land a shot on him. He's been on the gun plenty before and done well, so I know it's not that. It's just a difficult target to hit.

 

The person on the broomstick was actually saying they were more worried about the barrage, that those kept whizzing by, etc.

I just began using the speed glitch today, and boy was it great fun. You go insanely fast. Great for transport when doing Cargo.

Why they had to give it even more accurate missiles than the original Oppressor?

 

b-b-but that's the only way it could stand a chance against other vehicles!!!

 

The thing is that with its current missiles, it does not only stand a chance, it basically dominates almost everything with ease.

 

Why there's so many different missile tracking systems anyway? Just give everything Buzzard level of tracking and call it a day.

Joined a Lobby where four of these eventually appeared, nope.

One of these dominates a Lobby but four is a f*cking sh*t show. Nothing anyone pulled out can fight it.

Sorry man but seeing these videos makes me f*cking pissed off! You’re killing people and all you’re doing is riding a hoverbike as if it was a rocking horse, not even remotely close to AIMING at all and yet the missiles just get sucked to the targets    This game is f*cking dead..

 

RIP the good old days, when a good pilot could make sport out of dodging missiles and doing free aim kills while in the Buzzard. That required experience, skill, knowledge of your surroundings and perfect timing.

 

Is this game supposed to be tailored to 2-year olds now, or what? And no, I don’t think  getting kills that cheap seems any fun at all! I’d feel like a complete cheater.

 

I’m not really bashing on you though, @Arrows to Athens, since (I hope at least lol) I don’t think you go around killing people like that all day.. but my god.. I hope RDR2 requires skill for a while before they turn it into this and release a ”Hold R2 to ride your horse while auto aiming your gatling gun at everything alive around you”. Ugh.

And how long roughly does it last for? Coz I'm wondering how long you should leave it until using one, and then how long after that to use another one.

I was right about this not being a threat. The rare times I do go into a public lobby, not one has managed to kill me.

 

I'm more scared of a Frogger crashing into me.

The old one cannot be used for that either.

 

Seems like they had professional engineers working on that since you cannot turn the headlight on/off while flying.

On the flip-side I have yet to loose to anything. Fully crewed Avengers cant touch me on this thing, I have eaten two man Hunters and Savages. The Strikeforce is an utter joke against this and Hydras and Lazers spend more time chasing their own tails fleeing from the Missiles than they do aiming their Cannons at me.

I don't like this bike or anything that it stands for. But I'm buying it later today ONLY to get the "strategic advantage" that it offers. And since @RyuNova mentioned that seeing four of them in a session is reason enough to go Find a new session, it seems to do a good job for clearing out lobbies. So there's that.

It was late at night, and I was sucked into some battles with other people. I then tried out the glitch for the first time. Later on today, however, I will be using the glitch to do some Cargo.

I actually still do this every now and then, and it's great fun and poses a challenge. It's not easy when you have 20 homing missiles being fired at you, though. I remember Tonksi providing gameplay videos of him getting free aim kills with the Buzzard.

I was talking about the speed glitch that I found really fun, not the killings associated with it. And yes, it is cheating. You're right.

Being honest, one of them is enough to Find a New Session. I love mine but its pointless to fight against them. They literally have no downside.

@Arrows to Athens Agreed, I still love using the Buzzard too. But yeah, it’s annoying to try and be professional about things when any noob can shoot you out of the skies with such ease and there’s nothing you can do about it.

 

And also; this may sound weird coming from me but thanks anyway for informing me of that speed glitch, it might come in handy.

 

@RyuNova Yeah, I’m gonna get me one of these if only to use it for show, as a deterrent. Thanks for your input, guys.

Why should I tolerate deluxe in my session? I destroy them all in a session using my mk2, because they do not have to exist

I'm really interested to see what this thing is actually like. The speed glitch is the reason it's SOOOOOOOO op right now. I'd bet it's not an easy patch to make.
