Oppressor v2.0 Appreciation

Hey sorry this is gonna sound very silly, but i'm new here so i'll introduce myself (very fast i promise). I've been on gtaforums since years now and it's only now that i finaly choosed to register. I just don't really like registering a lot (except if i like the site and its community and i clearly do here i don't even have a youtube account can you imagine !?). Annyway sorry just so you know i don't really know how things work here. I'm just a stranger who liked to read countless pages of topics here about vehicles (mostly) and for once

i'll say something ... NOW about that bike ...

I have to say that after playing with it some hours, i got pretty used to it's handling faster than i excpected to ... and to be honest. Combined with the terrorbyte it's a blessing. It's fast nimble and the missiles are ok (i've been surprised the first time i saw my missiles miss an npc helicopter, I probably got too much used to the ruiner 2000/vigilante missiles). Anyway all these features makes this bike pretty much the ultimate grinding machine (with the terrorbyte). Given that i'm a massive grinder it's pretty much ok for me i'll give it that!

It makes me gain money faster so i'm ok with it! But i have another problem with this bike ... Just like Voodoo-Hendrix said, nobody asked for this, and yet rockstar choosed to give us another oppressor ...

The problem to me is very simple ... It's a double nonsense ... Why? Because the oppressor mark 2 represents nothing ... it's not a reference to a pop culture vehicle

First nonsense yeah a flying bike what the hell but that aside my main problem with it is ... It has no identity ...

gta has gone to far since a long time now, it's not a secret rockstar doesn't give a damn about realism and "LOGIC" now.

First a ruiner 2000 (kitt basically wich i really got hyped for and i like it that's for sure). After that a flying/gliding bike (street hawk ... what the hell? but it's fun and stylish yeah ok!). Then the vigilante (A FREAKING BATMOBILE !?).

Then the Stromberg aka a complete knock off of what the ardent should have been since the begenning which is the submarine lotus, "wet nellie" some may call it. Along doomsday The deluxo ... a mother flying delorean (whatever a this point but it's still fun and cool !). But here i have a problem ... It is nothing more than a weird flying motorcycle there is nothing more to it ...

With the ruiner 2000 i felt joyfull pretending i was driving kitt himself. With the street hawk i had fun gliding around like a bad super hero and so the list goes on ...

Since the very beginning with the JB700 (come on rockstar it's time to had its weaponized variant online) these vehicles had a purpose to exist, they were references to beloved pop culture icons of the 60's 70's 80's but this thing in a way to me has no soul ...

And for the first time i feel kinda alarmed because i fear that rockstar will push that idea to the very limit and will keep adding more and more ridiculous vehicles and features that will leave us in a saints row pastiche at the end just because peoples and tryhards will still keep buying it ... wich is already half way done ...

that's all ... excuse me for the many mistakes i've made in my writing, because i'm sure i've made a lot (i'm french and i have some problems in writing even more in my language just so you know i try my best)

i hope i wasn't too much off topic

so to resume oppressor mk2 6/10 best at griding for me and practical but damn grand theft auto 5 what are you becoming ?

F*CK THIS THING.

It is impossible to see if you're trying to dogfight. One missile blows up my Akula. Stupid f*cking thing.

Someone really needs to develop another open world sandbox game so we don't have to play this sh*t anymore.

Out of sheer curiosity, can the Oppressor Mk II be sold?

If yes, can it be done via Avenger/MOC/LSC, or do you need the Terrorbyte's specialized vehicle workshop for that?

Also, hold the phone... I thought Stromberg missiles could go round and round in circles attempting to hit their target? That's not possible for these missiles, they don't infinitely track, yet I'm still hearing stuff like "despite what the internet says they're stromberg missiles". :/ Hmm...

In fact, Stromberg missiles are no different to Deluxo missiles.

So if we compare the Stromberg missiles to the Oppressor Mk.2 missiles, you'll pick up on the thing which differentiates these missiles and their capability. I don't know for sure what any of these lines in the files mean more than other people, but it's easy enough to guess what they mean (that the pitching (turning) for missiles locked onto a target can change direction more erratically with the Stromberg / Deluxo deal).

Of course the other thing is the Oppressor Mk.2 can engage a target 75 metres away more than the Deluxo or 150 metres away from a Stromberg.

Yeah, but you need the Terrorbyte's Vehicle Workshop to sell it.

EDIT:

Whoops - I must've been high when I posted that about the Stromberg missiles when comparing them to the Deluxo, as the info I posted is just both the Deluxo missiles, left and wright - so that's wrong.
The correct info is here which shows that there are several differences between Stromberg and Deluxo missiles, so take back everything I said earlier.

It also means that the my comparison of Stromberg and Oppressor Mk.2 missiles was incorrect too - here's the correct data for that. I would go so far to say that the Oppressor Mk.2 missiles are just slightly worse than the the Stromberg's - but only slightly. I think it's the zero value for 'BulletDirectionPitchHomingOffset' that lets it down - but as a balancing measure and the fact they're better than the Mk.1 missiles - I'm fine with that. :)

Well, you can't enter LSC or Avenger/MOC with this thing at all, which leads to conclusion you won't be able to sell it unless you will get a Terrorbyte.

Honestly, I don't see any reasons to actually skip the Terrorbyte if you want to buy Mk 2: get the cheapest version and do all the jobs you can without drone to unlock the price and keep the truck for further modding and to have access to its functionality. Have you ever considered that the price difference is close to the Terrorbyte price? Well, with that truck and constant flow of Client jobs/ VIP work you will get the price of your truck back in no time. And if you have IE business, this toy will save you even more time when sourcing. You can get the cost back by playing casually for 3-4 days: top car source, top car sale, source back, client job, vip mission (80+31+21) which will be around 210k +/- due to the reward fluctuation. Don't forget to get your truck to storage after initiating source if you're planning to use it in other place, saves you some time.

Stromberg missiles don't go in circles like the Deluxo's. Tested often against foot NPCs. Plus Stromberg missiles have drastically reduced missile lifetime in comparison.

Maybe I missed something, but don't you have to do the five locked missions to get the trade price? I tried to do the two open ones, and the three that didn't require the drone, and it didn't unlock the trade price.

I was genuinely  disappointed that I HAD to buy a Terrorbyte in order to take full advantage of the mk2 Oppressor. I was waaaaay more disappointed that I had to to spend an additional $815,000 on the drone station to save $900,000 on the bike. For the full Opressor experience, you'll need a night club and a damned-near fully upgraded Terrorbyte in addition to the Oppressor mk2 itself. Hiding the discount behind a paywall kinda tee'd me off.

I've been experimenting with this thing. Never using the elevators and constantly staying in "hover (glued to ground) will net you some extreme speed. You'll keep your ground speed, in the air,  so long as you don't use any elevator in an up direction. I do believe my mk1 might take a back seat to this thing as i think i can traverse the map more quickly in the mk2.

Let's not even talk about the current speed glitch as that might be patched. Even without the glitch I'm getting to my destination faster than with the mk1.

I totally agree, it's just that not letting a player get rid off a vehicle seems just completely stupid to me. Why not letting a player sell his vehicle ? By the way yes, the terrorbyte is a must have i think and even if you can't see how much supplies you have in your terrorbyte and/or buy supplies from it, it's still a very nice way to gain time and so cash

oh and by the way

don't worry i figured it out 👍 😁 i just need to remember it, wich is not always the case, i already gained more so than 3 million today with the oppressor an terrorbyte combo. it's very very usefull ! and fast !

I did the first two missions (robbing robbers thing and hacking cars), five times and it went perfectly allright, i checked if the trade price was unlocked, it was i buyed the broomstick mk2 and did not regret anything

I found the elevators/wing trick by my self and it is very usefull, i was scared to be constrained to stick to the ground but i'm very happy with the way it goes ! But that glitch though? What glitch ?

@We Are Ninja

You just need to do five missions. Not five different missions. You could do five "Robbery in Progress" and get the price.

I did three RiPs and two Data Collection to unlock the Trade Price.

Well sh*t, my bad, sorry for misleading. Just done a test now and some Stromberg missiles did miss a few police helicopters (best testing in the game right there lol).

So... does this mean some tracking information is controlled by the server as we know the ammo types are the same for the Stromberg and Deluxo? Wonder if @Fun 2 could share any light on that or not.

Holy crap I love this thing!!!

Not using it to grief or anything like that.  Not my style.  It's just awesome as a quick transport to all my businesses to resupply, complete source missions, hunt down moving targets in Head Hunter, whilst getting to a sniper spot to take out the stationary ones.  Love how stable it is and you can't come flying off of it if you crash or hit objects etc.  NPC crazy drivers are now not an issue!  Brilliant addition for a lone wolf like me!

I've gone with the explosive cannon (not a fan of homing missiles in general and they're very limited).  Does anyone know the capacity of the explosive cannon rounds?

750 rounds.

You can also dismiss and recall with your MC menu to rearm the missiles or you can return to your Terrorbyte mid event to rearm as well.

Actually Happy, I have to disagree with you there. Not that Im the most experienced guy to talk about this, but I’ve noticed that the missiles seem to miss a lot if fired from the front (like when your enemy is coming towards you). And I noticed that with NPC helicopters. Very different from what you’d expect from Deluxo missiles which even circle the target before hitting them sometimes. I may be wrong of course, but I strongly believe these are regular missiles like the Buzzard’s.

Well. I played today and I have to say that they are like Ruiner2000/Vigilante/Deluxo rockets.

Stromberg and Ruiner 2000 doesnt have the same rockets.

Then I honestly don't understand. It didn't unlock for me at 5, or even 6 missions... I did the two open ones, then the three that didn't require the drone, and the trade price didn't unlock. Then, I bought the drone station and did one more mission. No dice. Not until I did them all did it unlock. $815k out the window. It's not the end of the world, but... -_-

Lol. Not necessarily lying, bud. They probably encountered a bug or had their target priority set to "attackers" or some such.

Pistol Bobcat

I myself bought into the hype, but I have to admit,  I'm enjoying the Sky cycle, as over the top as it may be. 😛

It turns so flexibly, is faster than the dreaded Deluxo, and the missiles are reliably accurate (tested them in a good old contact mission, I don't wanna be that guy who gives it a bad rap).

I can't be the only one who bought it with this comic book gem in mind? Wakanda Forever!

They are certainly not R2000/vigilante level missiles, i didn't purchased the deluxo's missiles so i can't tell (simply beceause it doesn't serve's me anny purposes to travel in time if you see what i mean 😎), but with kitt or my batmobile i see the lock on getting started there is no thoughts or reflection, i hit the button and the thing is 99% sure dead with the oppressor mk2 i have seen multiple times the missiles miss and go "bye bye baby !" the broomstick mk2's are good but certainly not on par with the ruiner and vigilante's ones
