Think it being a truck threw everyone off...

- Terrorbyte Truck riding alongside the Oppressor Mk.2 and Quadrotor Drone, all of which can be launched from the same vehicle to give you an operational stronghold. Image from Rockstar Games.

- Inside the Nerve Center, which allows you to take command of a weaponised drone or a multi-lock turret station, as well as launch client jobs and resupply operations for existing business ventures. Image from Rockstar Games.

Some early info from Fun 2:

  • In order to purchase and store the Terrorbyte, please purchase a Nightclub property from foreclosures.maze-bank.com.
  • Your new Terrorbyte is available at your Nightclub. Request the Terrorbyte from the Interaction Menu or return to your Nightclub Warehouse to access it.
  • In order to purchase this vehicle you must fulfill the following criteria:

- Own a Terrorbyte.

  • Get a Warehouse Technician to deliver your Terrorbyte.
  • Get a Warehouse Technician to deliver your Oppressor Mk II that is stored in your Terrorbyte.
  • The Drone is losing connection. It must remain in proximity to the Terrorbyte in order to receive a signal. If you fly it too far the Drone will be deactivated.

The Terrorbyte is the new MOC, it's a garage and a hub to source/resupply your businesses from anywhere in the map.

It has services as well, like the Drone and the Signal Scanner from the Nerve Center.

Oppressor Mk II is a special vehicle. Once destroyed, It return immediately to your Terrorbyte.

I don't think you can request it from the MC Instant Spawn feature.

Some early info from Tranquility Base Hotel

0x2B171560 = Go to the lowest garage level of your Nightclub ~BLIP_BAT_CLUB_PROPERTY~ to modify your Terrorbyte. You can also request it nearby via the Terrorbyte Services section of the Interaction Menu.

UPDATED!
Most of the information below from my own personal testing before the truck was released.

Terrorbyte Truck - Information and Features

  • Price, not factoring in the fact you need to own a Nightclub before you can purchase this, ranges from $1.4 million to $4 million depending on options, upgrades and making your mind up on the interior colour scheme and decal choice.
  • Both driver and player have access to all their usual drive-by weapons in the truck cab.
  • As owner of the Terrorbyte, whilst in the driver's seat you can hold the button to access the Player Scanner (right on d-pad) to warp into the Nerve Center. The vehicle must be stationary to do this however.
  • A passenger can only access the Nerve Center if they've been allowed access or invited, or are part of the same CEO Organization or Motorcycle Club.
  • Be careful with what you want in the truck: you can't renovate it to remove the Turret Station, Drone Station, Weapon Workshop or Specialized Workshop - if you ever considered them a waste and didn't want them.
  • If it's in an awkward position or upside down and can't be rolled back over, it will be 'relocated' like the trailers for Gunrunning Weapon Sales. It respawns with the same health as before though so be careful.
  • Sometimes when the truck is destroyed, one or more wheels will blow off the vehicle, exposing the brakes.
  • If the Terrobyte is active (out, in use, on the map), the Mobile Operations Center can't be requested, neither can the Avenger.
  • Lester's Off The Radar ability is usable from inside the Nerve Center, amongst all his other services except for removing a wanted level.
  • Lamar's Mugger ability is usable from inside the Nerve Center, adding another way a player can be temporarily disabled. Watch what's going on with the Drone, time it well and this combined with a shock from the Drone will keep an enemy player down for at least 10 seconds.
  • It's possible to lose wanted levels just by being in the Nerve Center even if there's cops and helicopters right outside. Best for the vehicle to be kept mobile though otherwise... see the next point.
  • It's also possible to get busted though with those player(s) waking up at the local Police Station, so be careful where you leave it ;).
  • There can be a player driving whilst simultaneously using the Player Scanner, with another player on the Turret Station, and another on the Drone Station all at once.
  • There is no radio station active in the Nerve Center. - Correction, the released version does actually have a radio in it.
  • VIP Work cannot be launched from inside the Nerve Center however, so exit to the cab or step outside to start them.
  • Something to note about launching VIP Jobs - say for example there's two people in an Organisation, if a mission is launched by the CEO driving the Terrorbyte whilst an Associate is in the Nerve Center, the Associate will not be notified of the ongoing mission. They're still able to operate the Turret or Drone Stations and kill the Headhunter targets (for example) but there won't be any timer or mission information shown.
  • Headhunter target blips don't appear on the radar or map whilst in the Nerve Center (for anyone), neither do they show when using the Turret or Drone Stations.

Player Scanner

(click me for an example image)

  • The Player Scanner allows you to view certain information about other players including their name, rank, current money in their wallet, number of players killed and deaths, favourite vehicle, radio station, weapon and accuracy, favourite vehicle, number of sex acts and private dances solicited.
  • If the driver of the Terrorbyte is in the truck cab on his own, he can use the player scanner whilst stopped or whilst in motion (ie, whilst they're driving it). They can also switch cameras whilst stopped or in motion.
  • If there is a passenger however, the driver cannot use the Player Scanner as these controls are basically handed over to the passenger. "You can't use the Player Scanner while there is a passenger".
  • The maximum range of the Player Scanner seems to be around 250m. This was tested by scanning a player and then driving away to a distance where the player information no longer showed.

Drone Station
(click me for a video demonstrating the Drone Station and Drone's features)
(click me for raw in-game photos of what a Drone looks like, should you encounter one)

Features and Stats:

  • Flight speed is around 12mph (20 km/h), during the boost its speed increases to around 30mph (50 km/h)
  • Maximum horizontal range from the truck is around 500m (disconnection warning starts at around 450m)
  • Maximum vertical range from the truck is around 200m (disconnection warning starts at around 150m from directly above the truck)
  • Boost recharge is 15 seconds and only really works forwards. If pressing back on the left stick before boosting, the Drone will boost forwards. If pressing left or right, the Drone will boost upwards (vertically) which is the same if you press boost without any movement controls.
  • The Drone 'takes damage' from doing the following things: landing it, flying into another player, vehicle, building or object, or being shot at. If you don't move it, it'll be destroyed.
  • What I mean by "don't move it" is you'll feel vibrations in the controller as the Drone 'takes damage' from doing those things. If you move the Drone out of 'harms way' quickly enough, then it won't be destroyed. Otherwise it will and you'll have a 60 second cooldown.
  • Only takes a few shots to destroy the Drone (four shots from Assault Rifle Mk.2)
  • Can be flown whilst the truck is being driven by another player.
  • Always a one minute cooldown, regardless of whether the Drone is destroyed, the camera exited etc.
  • Drone Station can be accessed whilst Night or Thermal Vision is active, and remains active whilst flying the Drone.
  • The Drone can be useful for Headhunter because the enemies will be focused on the player's position(s) rather than the Drone (and therefore they'll be aiming towards the truck). Some other enemies in other activities are wise to its location though, and could shoot it down relatively quickly.
  • The Drone will not appear on radar to other unsuspecting players. It will, however, be on radar for members of the same Organization or Motorcycle Club.
  • Cops will shoot at the drone without any hesitation whatsoever, regardless of whether you've got a wanted level or not.
  • You cannot lock onto the Drone with any firearm or weapon system. Pretty sure the game recognises it as an object rather than a vehicle or ped model.

Drone Shocker:

  • Shock recharge is 12 seconds and is only for disabling a target briefly - it does virtually no damage (like one or two HP damage).
  • Maximum shock range is around 10m. See these images for an idea on what that looks like at different zoom levels.
  • The Shock function is actually useful for NPCs - dealing 180 damage per shock when striking their torso or head. A Headhunter Merrywhether enemy is killed in three shocks, for example, cops are killed in one. This 180 damage figure is, by comparison against other weapons, one of the highest in the game. It's mostly worthless against players though aside from disabling them for a few seconds.

Drone Detonation:

  • When using the detonation function, it'll detonate on the 7th second.
  • Detonation explosion range is less than 3m, will kill a max health rank 100+ player with armour (278 total health points) in one.
  • Detonation sequence takes a few seconds, but you can move the drone and boost whilst it's charging.
  • You cannot use the detonation whilst the shock function is recharging.
  • Successfully killing a player with the Drone's detonation will award the Drone operator the kill.
  • As an example of power, it takes four Drone detonations to destroy a Rhino Tank in GTA Online. It's on par with RPGs in terms of power.

Drone Controls (Standard Controller Layout):

Left Stick Left / Right = Strafe
Left Stick Forward / Back = Forward or Back
Left Stick Click = Boost
Right Stick = Camera control
Right Stick Click = Zoom control
Triggers = Altitude control (up or down same as helicopters)
Right Bumper / R1 (press) = Shock
Left Bumper / L1 (hold) = Detonation Sequence
B / Circle = Exit Drone Camera

Turret Station
(click me for a quick video demonstrating the Multi-Lock Missile Battery)

  • Turret Station can be used whilst the truck is being driven by another player.
  • Lock-On range is interesting as it's basically infinite - after you have initially locked onto an aircraft (for example), it will remain locked on regardless of range as long as you keep the Missile Battery aiming in the aircraft's direction.
  • We tested and the aircraft's "missile lock on warning" beeps were still happening 3000m away from the Terrorbyte - yes, 3km.
  • Initial Maximum Lock-On Range is 500m however. Overall missile range is only a bit further - around 540m, so the only use for the above is to potentially scare off targets.
  • Has the ability to lock onto several targets at once (most I could lock onto was 7). It's capable of engaging all 7 targets too, as pressing the fire button will fire one missile off to each target.
  • Missile tracking is poor, seems the same as standard aircraft missile tracking.
  • Only one missile can be fired at each selected target.
  • If firing missiles without tracking (and tracking is automatic anyway, so basically if you're able to fire before there's any locking-on, or just firing aimlessly), it takes 1.5 seconds to reload.
  • If firing a missile with tracking it takes 5 seconds to reload.
  • The cooldown seems to be regardless of whether you're engaging just one target, or seven.
  • Reload sequence (cooldown) only begins after the last missile has been fired (if multiple have been fired at once)
  • Turret Station can be accessed whilst Night or Thermal Vision is active, and remains active whilst in the Turret camera.

Resupply Mission Abilities

The Terrobyte offers the ability to source or resupply the following:

  • Air Freight Cargo (for your Hangar)
  • Special Cargo (for your CEO Warehouses)
  • Vehicle Cargo (for your Vehicle Warehouse)
  • Gunrunning Supplies (for your Bunker)
  • Biker Supplies (for any of the Biker Businesses you have active, see this image)

Paige's Client Jobs

  • Robbery in Progress: "Identify the location of an ongoing bank robbery and steal the gold from inside."
  • Data Sweep: "Hack multiple vehicles to identify which is carrying the data drives and deliver them to the client."
  • Targeted Data: "Infiltrate the Lifeinvader servers to track down a high value target and take them out."
  • Diamond Shopping - sorry will get the description for this later.
  • Collector's Pieces (2+ Players in Organisation / MC Club): "Retrieve high value antiques being transported in the back of several security vans and deliver them to the client. The cash reward will be split between members of your Organization / Motorcycle Club."
  • Deal Breaker (2+ Players in Organisation / MC Club): "Track a target's phone signal to a deal and deliver their briefcase to the client. The cash reward will be split between members of your Organization / Motorcycle Club."

  • After launching one of these new jobs, there is a 30 minute cooldown before you're able to launch the same job again. Other jobs can be launched in that time however (although there is a five minute cooldown on them anyway).

Terrorbyte Damage / Explosive Resistance

Below I've listed the number of shots or munitions required to destroy a 100% armoured, full-health Terrorbyte in GTA Online:

Explosive Rounds (Pump Shotgun and Heavy Sniper Rifle Mk.2) = 84

Grenade = 34
Grenade Launcher = 34
Compact Grenade Launcher = 34
Sticky Bomb = 34
Homing Launcher = 34
RPG = 34

- - - - -

AA Trailer Dual 20mm Flak = 6
AA Trailer Homing Missile = 34
APC Cannon = 17
APC SAM Battery = 34

Hydra / Lazer Cannon = 34

Oppressor Mk.2 Explosive MG = 112
Rhino Tank and Khanjali Cannons = 6

Valkyrie Cannon = 80
Vigilante Missiles = 34

You'd need around 200 shots at the engine bay from the Heavy Revolver Mk.2 with FMJ rounds to destroy it, so that'd be pointless given the firerate especially.
You'd need over 4500 shots at the engine bay from the Minigun to set it on fire and thus destroy it.

Notice - armour / resistance seems to be bugged. The figures above should be correct if there aren't any bugs or glitches in effect.

Required for modifying the Oppressor Mk II: (Source)

"The Oppressor Mk I was a landmark in hybrid vehicle design. Well, the Mk II takes off where its little brother landed - and it never comes down. This is about the closest you can get to throwing a saddle on a rocket engine, bolting on some optional heavy artillery, and pressing the big red button.

Please note: This vehicle can only be modified at the Specialized Workshop inside a Terrorbyte."

This bit worries me...

0x5AB9875E = If you're going to break cover, do it right: lock onto five separate targets, and engage in a bit of lethal multitasking from the comfort of your swivel chair.

There's definitely gun stations in there by the looks of it (the computer stations).

With a name like Terbyte, I first read that as terabyte and I would have thought it to be a mobile hacking truck, like in Live Free Or Die Hard.  Needs some beer bottle graphics on the side to camouflage it better.

This better not be a big dud like the pounder/mule/Speedo custom

I am sure this won’t be a dud since it seems like this should be the ultimate MOC like vehicle.

Plus it’s based on a Mercedes Zetros

Nothing will go wrong with this! (At least I hope)

I like the way this truck looks, but it's horsesh*t that you need this to customize the Oppressor MK. II. I have a feeling this might be the go-to place for more futuristic vehicles. :/

This is a good question. I don't think it would fit in the Nightclub if you own the three vehicles on level B1.

Anyone know? @Fun 2 maybe?

It would be amazing if it stayed outdoors at all times and we could use it as a spawn location.

After the disappointment of the custom pounder I'm going all in on hoping this is actually good. If the launcher has great range and the truck itself is heavily armored, it could put the chernobog to shame the same way the Avenger did to the Bombushka. The drones will be a fun troll toy too.

Just knowing that it can lock on to multiple targets is a godsend though; in the real world, aircraft and ground launchers can lock on to hundreds of targets and it made no sense why every other vehicle in this game is limited to one lock at a time.

Now if you're surrounded by cops or have multiple jets/targets to deal with you can stand a much better chance. Again, as long as the armor holds and the missiles have great speed and tracking.

Of course! I can't believe I mixed em up. My bad. Thanks

Looks like this particular Z is the inspiration for the T truck.

This is what the Brickade could have been, and tbh a real mobile operation center. Makes sense that you can source goods on the go from anywhere on the map, what kind of criminal mastermind doesn't have that?

I can't wait for this vehicle.

Any idea if this is all wheel drive? Seems it could be used pretty well as an offroad camping rig(at least in terms of roleplay or photography).

I’ve been dying to know where we will store the Terrorbyte. Do you have any insight?

(obviously it’s in the nightclub. I just mean where in the nightclub will it be stored? Level B1?)

How are the source missions gonna play out? I can see CEO stuff next to bikers stuff, are we going to have to switch if we want to click on either one of them or are bikes businesses finally available for CEOs?
