Oh god. If I am right... It has brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt. I'm not 100% sure since the sound files are very short and looped ingame, but... 

First 3 sounds could be (imo):

 

Weapon startup

 

Firing

 

Weapon end

 

 

 

 

What I gathered from the handling:

 

14.000kg mass (6000kg heavier than the Lazer)

 

Takes double the weapon damage of the Lazer (what that means for explosive rounds... I don't know)

 

0.4 less Thrust than the Lazer (1.6 vs 2.0)

 

Better yawing, worse pitching and rolling

 

Less turbulence

 

 

That's all for now

 

 

 

Double the weapon damage - if that means double the explosive rounds, then it's not massively impressive, since a Laser only takes 2. Perhaps it has a set number it takes though, regardless of damage it's usually meant to take.

 

Sounds are promising though.

That should also be before armor upgrades, which add another 100%.

 

So barring any additional scripts, the end result should be 4 times as tough as the Lazer, i.e. 8 explosions to kill i.e. "flying Khanjali". Still not gonna help it against the explosive cannon jets but hey, it shouldn't.

Well, I might look into this, I'm not much of a fan of the A10, but this has some serious firepower that I can't miss it

8 sounds good to me. Real A-10 would probably be more or less immune to bullets that size, but 8 is a much fairer number than any other jet we have right now.

 

I wonder just how it feels turning-wise? We have raw numbers, but don't know how it feels combined with different speed and weight.

 

Also, is the cannon the same as a Lazer, or better?

Hmmmm, from what I gathered:

 

Slower rate of fire. Lazer shoots a bullet every 0.04 seconds, B-11 shoots every 0.125 seconds. Bare in mind that the Lazer also has the double cannon.

B-11 has spin up up time (meaning it won't fire instantly when pressing the fire button)

B-11 has 20m more range (Lazer has 180, B-11 200)

Great, so now it boils down to what the per-shot damage is to determine whether they did a good job or failed miserably.

I adjusted my post, B-11 has some more downsides to it...

 

 

And no, bombs seem to be identical. The B-11 uses another explosion info for the cannon, I am trying to figure out if it's better or worse than that of the Lazer

Mmmm, not cool. It's a shame that the RoF is lower but I'm glad that the range is higher, I can't wait to see how well will it perform at ground strikes.

It's good that we're getting two different kinds of missiles but can't help but wonder if the barrage may result not being too effective when mounted on a plane.

The thing is... I don't really see a purpose in barrage when you have the explosive cannon to be honest.

 

 

Oh, one thing about the handling: It does seem to take more time/Brakeforce to kill the engine, so perhaps you can fly slower/more accurate attacks

Hmm, not much point in the bombs when we've got a 200m range explosive cannon.

 

Is there any way you can get us some gameplay with it? Really appreciate all you've done so far by the way.

 

We also need to find out more on the MKII Broomstick, ensure it's not too much of a threat.

Unfortunately, I think it's impossible to spawn it until we get a Scripthook update. Some guy was able to spawn the cars by adding them to the traffic instead, I wonder if it could be possible to set a spawn point for it.

All I can do is swap an existing model with this one, but no custom sounds and the weapons might act strange. I'll have to wait for a Scripthook update to showcase it properly, but if you want I can set up a custom DLC with handling and weapons and see how it works

 

Edit: great, I can't open the encrypted explosion file of vanilla GTA, so no data for the Lazer :x

Are the explosive cannons pivotable? Because if we need to dive with this thing to attack the ground, then I'll stick with my Hydra that can at least hold its own in a dogfight.

There's one interesting fact about the A-10's GAU cannon that doesn't really allow it to pivot.

You see, the A-10 is not a plane with a cannon mounted on it, it's an enormous cannon with a fighter frame mounted outside of it.

Finally! The A-10 Thunderbolt is coming to GTA Online! :lol:

 

The only thing I dislike about the design is the horizontal stabilizer. That's all though. I hope it can shred through tanks like it can in real life. 😛

Hell yeah! I'm wondering if the B-11 will cost nearly the same price as the Hydra's 3 million or the super expensive Lazer's 6.5 million. I'm thinking near the Lazer's price range since it's able to equip bombs, additional armor and counter measures.

Alright people, everything works. Video is uploading, but with my current connection it'll take roughly 50 minutes.

 

 

 

What can I say? Feels kinda slow. Survives multiple Lazer cannon hits and missiles (hard to be exact, as I was hit with a mix of both). Also very durable regarding collisions with terrain.

 

So... the cannon... Hmmmmm. It does feel nice when used against ground targets, but it's low RoF makes it kinda hard to hit fast flying aircraft. 

The barrage missiles feel surprisingly good and can really cover a goo area with explosives. I had my doubts, but those could be really useful after all.

Mmmmmm I like it. How many barrage rockets did it fire? More than the Hunter? What was the blast radius and damage like on the cannon? Also, the missiles - anything different with them?

The sooner the better. It's the only interesting thing in this update, IMO.

Same number of barrage rockets.

 

Missiles felt better than on the Lazer, probably on par with the Smugglers Run aircraft.

 

Cannon... uuuuuuuuuuuh, at first I thought the explosion felt bigger, but that was just placebo I believe. They still pretty much one shot any vehicle, but due to only having a single cannon, the radius seems (is) smaller.

 

You can however really feel the 20m range increase. That's a good thing.
