Amazon has the CE guide up. Comes in at 368 pages.

For comparison RDR's Game of the Year guide with Undead Nightmare and GTAV's LE guide was 448 pages with the respective art section. RDR standard guide was 340 pages.

So basically the RDR2 standard guide (336 pages) matches RDR1's standard guide (340 pages).

We are in for lots of singleplayer content, that's for sure now.

Also since this is from Piggyback I don't think we can compare it to either RDR1's or GTA V's guide books when it comes to content.

Different 'Author', different layout very likely so we cannot say whether RDR2 will have more stuff to do than GTA V/RDR1 or less or the same.

I feel like it'll have lots more content. (I hope!)

So, the Wheeler Rawson & Co. catalogue that comes with the preorder Collectibles Box.  150 pages of all the "stuff" in RDR2.  If you have that, won't the biggest part of the strategy guide be redundant?

Has anyone tried pre-ordering the guide at Gamestop ?  I notice it's not on the website, but was wondering if anyone tried pre-ordering at a Gamestop store.

Not really. The catalogue is meant to be a replica of the in-game one. I'd imagine the in-game one is full of items, furniture etc where some of it is purchaseable and the rest is filler.

Kind of like when Kevin Costner has one in Open Range.

I'd imagine the physical WR&Co catalogue contains actual gameplay info though, wouldn't you?  Like stats, cost, where the items can be bought or located, etc?

I'd see it would contain items you can buy in the game but without any of the stats or gameplay implications. Again the descriptor sounds like its a replica of the one you find in game without the gameplay stuff, similar to how the box also has replicas of the cigarette trading cards.

I think the Wheeler&Rawson Co. thing is a replica of an actual catalogue/almanac from 1899, while the guide is straight raw info of the game. The way I see it by looking at them.

There's no real world Wheeler & Rawson Co., if that's what you're saying.   That catalogue is designed to emulate the old Sears & Roebuck catalogs that were very prevalent across America in the late 19th- mid 20th century.   This was the Amazon of its day, mail order delivery across the country.   I'd be willing to bet the Wheeler & Rawson catalog will be laid out similarly....I'm wondering if it will actually simulate mail order delivery by allowing you to buy something "online," so to speak, from the catalog, and have it show up in your camp.  Realistically, it wouldn't be instantaneous, like ordering a car online in GTA5, but might take days to deliver.  🤪   Or at least be "delivered" to the nearest general store, and you'd have to physically travel there to pick it up, I dunno.

That was what I meant, maybe I didn't explain well. They just picked a fictional name for the catalogue, and made it to look like a real one from tha era.

Something is off about the guide book though, after 5 days there is no still dutch store that put it up for sale, usually they are pretty quick about it.

So the only places it's available from are the R* Warehouse and Amazon?

Gamemania will sell the guide book (asked them on Facebook). But they didn't know when it will be available for preorder. I couldn't wait and bought it on R* Warehouse.

BUT THE BENZ

3 artbooks, do R* consider that a compensation for the incoming lack of content in singleplayer mode?

I just found out that my order has gone wrong (standard edition instead of collector's). Does anyone have experience with canceling / changing an order at R *?
