Avenger Flares and Chaffs

I was respraying the Avenger and noticed I hadn't purchased this option for it. I've missed it seemingly, but I fully mod everything and have an eye for detail. So I can only assume that either there was a glitch that made this not an option back in December, or purchasing the chaff/flare prevents you from using another function on the aircraft, hence why I didn't get it?

 

Has anything changed? Can you still use all other features with a flare attached? What controller button activates it, as right arrow on the Avenger is for vtol?

Yeah the Countermeasures were supposed to be available in December with the Avenger's released but for whatever reason weren't. They were added / activated in March's SSASS update. 

 

Unfortunately they're only for the co-pilot / passenger as, you pointed out, the other controls have been taken up for other things.
