Mendoza, you will be missed by your loved ones, just as you were not missed by the bullets, grenades, fire-engine water cannons, vehicles or fists of those who never took the time to get to know you. 

 

You were loyal, and you tried so hard. 

 

You were a good man, Mendoza. 

 

A lousy shot, mind you, but a good man.

 

If only you had finished school and gotten a job answering phones at Mors Mutual, like your sister did...
