Create a Radio Station for the Next GTA

Recommended Posts

The Pizza Delivery Guy

Might edit this later to make it look cleaner, but this playlist runs under the assumption of a 1988 Vice City. I think it would fit best on Flash FM but it could also work on a new pop rock focused station.

Swing Out Sister - Breakout

Bee gees - ESP

Eddie Murphy - Party All the Time

Phil Collins - Only You Know and I Know

Rick Astley - Don’t Say Goodbye

Whitesnake - Straight for the heart

Chicago - You’re Not Alone

Lionel Richie - Dancing on the Ceiling

Deacon Blue - Dignity

Mick Jagger - Radio Control

Wham - Battlestations

Bananarama - Ready or Not

Simple Minds - Alive and Kicking

Love Media FM Logo

Name: Love FM

Genre: Soul Music with three talk Radio Shows, 1.) Passion Speak with Fernando Martinez, 2.) Love in Liberty with Lazlow, and 3.) Lingerie Lounge with Donald Love

DJ: In Between the music portion, Love, Fernando, and Lazlow will all

co-host the station and take callers and then allow each other time for their individual shows.

Lazlow’s show would be a street interview show similar to integrity, Fernando’s a sleazy advert type show similar to his advert in GTA 3, and Love’s show would be a show for women to call in discussing sex life problems.

ROCKSTAR MANIC

Ive been thinking now that I am hearing san juan sounds as I type this. I wonder what DJ they are going to feature for their modern spanish music. If its VC some one like Pitbull can represent the 305 being from Miami. In IV, Daddy Yankee was a hit out of the ball park featuring him as the main DJ for the Spanish music radio. Great music soundtracks were also put, which a lot of those songs from Vanilla and even the DLC added ones were hits.  Any spanish speaker will tell you they captured the theme of the music very well for the time. East los Fm from V was a let down in the music selection though. Don Cheto is great DJ anyone who actually hears his early morning show know its just how spanish mexican shows run. Actually very similar to the one in V. They actual made it right but the music for me was a let down.

I really hope its a combination of Reggaton, salsa, spanish pop, spanish R&B etc. Im actually looking forward towards this as a latino.

I'm a massive metal & punk rock fan, but also a fan of some older pop songs that I'd love drop into a radio station. I really like how GTA 3 & LCS revived Flash FM as Flashback, using songs released 10-20 years before the game is set.

Here's my personal reimagining of Flashback (Assuming a modern day setting):

Genres: Pop / RnB / Dance

Type: Dynamic Flashback

Hosted by Toni & Cara Delevinge

Natalie Imbruglia - Torn (1997)

Blondie - Maria (1999)

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder On The Dancefloor (2000)

Nelly Furtado & Timbaland - Promiscuous (2006)

Nelly Furtado - Say It Right (2006)

Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body (2002)

Shakira - Hips Don't Lie (2002)

Rihanna - Don't Stop The Music (2007)

KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See (2004)

Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin' (2006)

Sugababes - Push The Button (2005)

Outkast - Hey Ya! (2003)

Lilly Allen - Smile (2006)

Jennifer Lopez - Jenny From The Block (2002)

Vanessa Calton - A Thousand Miles (2002)

Mariah Carey - Fantasy (1995)

TLC - No Scrubs (1992)

Will Smith - Gettin' Jiggy Wit It (1997)

Destiny's Child - Bootylicious (2002)

S Club 7 - Never Had A Dream (2000)

Michael Jackson - Who Is It (1991)

Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head (2001)

Five - Everybody Get Up (1998)

Deep Blue Something - Breakfast At Tiffany's (1993)

Shawn Colvin - Sunny Come Home (1996)

May as well re-do Radio:X while I'm here!

Genres: Rock / Punk Rock / Industrial Rock / Alternative / Alternative Metal

I also added in another Michael Jackson song and a third Tears For Fears song. Sometime later I might add in Prince, Styx, Whitney Houston, or Godley & Creme to this station. Heck, I might even add in Winger, Aerosmith, or Talk Talk and Frankie Goes To Hollywood. Who knows, who knows...I might even add in The Who as well.

I will also try to fix the logo, because it bugged out for some reason.

Look at the type, dynamic radio, plays the songs randomly with commercials and Weazel News in between.

Agree, Don Cheto was perfect but the songs selections were a huge letdown, they should have stick with one mexican genre (Norteño) that most mexicans listen in California... the only accurates were "La Granja", "El Cocaino" and "El Sonidito". The other songs were random Mexican Rock/Rap that didn't fit the setting. I wonder why it was the only Radio Station that didn't got added new songs in next gen... another wasted opportunity.

Would love to see a multi tiered classic rock playlist.  Use some of the billions you have earned Rockstar, get the entire Led Zeppelin catalog, throw in Rush and Lynryd Skynryd and maybe Pink Floyd.  Introduce the kids to some real music.

I'd like to see some classical music in the game again. That's one thing I liked about GTA 3.

Why not? They count as rap songs, or at least Rapture does. Don't know about Wham Rap.
