Lance_Vance_Dance
This info came directly from GameSpot, no lie. "The next Grand Theft Auto game will leave Miami Vice behind in favor of Blade Runner. If our source close to Rockstar Games' UK studio Rockstar North are to believed, the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series will go by the name of Tokyo 2010 and, in the words of the source, "will do for Blade Runner what Vice City did for Miami Vice." Details are scarce at present, but we've been told that one of the key new features will be the inclusion of flying cars, much like those seen in the 1982 Ridley Scott movie (as opposed to that in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). As in previous GTA games, the gameworld will consist of a large city with distinctive residential, industrial, and commercial districts, and it's also been suggested to us that one of the gangs roaming the streets of Tokyo in 2010 will consist entirely of artificial life-forms not unlike the replicants of Blade Runner. It's not yet known what the role of the player will be in the game, but a reworking of the gang-oriented gameplay of previous installments, wherein players would have the freedom to join any of numerous gangs in the city and could complete the game either by sticking with one gang for the duration of the game or by working as a mercenary for hire, is believed to be under consideration. In addition to Blade Runner our source told us that the main influences apparent in the game will include The Fifth Element, Total Recall, Metropolis, Brazil, and Minority Report. We'll bring you more information on Grand Theft Auto: Tokyo 2010 as soon as it becomes available, most likely at E3 in May." And there you have it. After many speculations and bets being placed on the new city to be San Andreas, it looks as if San Andreas will be in GTA4. They decided to go from present, to past, to future. I cant even imagine how the game will look right now. No clue. Im gonna get some pics of Tokyo for ideas. I want to hear all your reactions to this and if you wat you think of this news. **BY THE WAY CLICK ON THE GAMESPOT ICON IN BOLD IT WILL DIRECTLY SEND YOU TO THE INFO**

Scarface402
That article is well written and sounds real but its the 1st of April you know. Yes, they do this EVERY year, I acually fell for Nintendos prank of the Triforce in Zelda, but no more. Trust me, GTA will not go Tokyo, it would be a crash and burn project. If any foreign country, Italy would be the best choice in marketing.
Mini-Gun
If any foreign country, Italy would be the best choice in marketing. Pffft. I would hate to see GTA go foreign but a remake of GTA:London 1969 would be great. And CVG the magazine pulls off great Aprils pranks each year. Scarface402
Yeah Italy, or Las Vegas baby. Vegas is a BIG yes. the 80's covered the narcotics operation, and the 70's Las Vegas can cover the mafia's casino operation, like in "Casino". One, thing, I wish GTA would catch the reality of the mafia.

Yablo4
has to be a april fools why would they call it 2010 if it has lots of aliens and flying cars 2100 would sound more believable i'm not all for the 70's game though i think we need to pick up where gta3 left in modern days. but i don't work for so i will gladly hand them my money for any new gta games
chris22
could be real and i think it would be pretty cool actually, but it also does not make any sense. 2010? and theres aliens. but i think we can trust Rockstar, there not gonna make stupid ass game GTA, if it is in tokyo they'll make it work. and it being April 1st, theres a good chance this is just a bunch of BS. Lance_Vance_Dance
You guys may be right because i am totally puzzled right now. Look what else i found. ShackNews "Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing division of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), proudly announces Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, the follow-up to the global blockbuster title Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Grand Theft Auto: Sin City is the latest installment in the gaming franchise that has exceeded 30 million units in total sales to-date. It will be available exclusively for PlayStation®2 and is expected to hit retail shelves in the United States on October 21st. Grand Theft Auto: Sin City will surpass the unprecedented gameplay, cinematic graphics and immersive audio experience that gamers associate with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which was released in October 2002 and has rapidly become the fastest selling, highest grossing game for PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system to-date, with global sales exceeding 6 million units. Rockstar Games will release additional information about the game’s content at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles this may, however today Rockstar is announcing that this game melds the pitch-perfect gameplay of the Grand Theft Auto franchise with world-renowed artist Frank Miller's Sin City universe. Sam Houser, the executive producer of the Grand Theft Auto franchise and president of Rockstar Games, commented, "With Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, we really raised the bar on what people have come to expect from a PlayStation®2 title. With source material as rich and fleshed out as Frank Miller's comic series Sin City, we know we're on track to raise that bar all over again." Les The Benz, the producer of Grand Theft Auto games, noted, "Fans will be absolutely blown away by Grand Theft Auto: Sin City. With Vice City, Rockstar created a living, breathing city of the 80s. With Sin City, it's a whole different ball game." Sin City creator Frank Miller remarked, "I've been a fan of Rockstar since the first Grand Theft Auto game. It was clear to me that they have the right attitude, and with Grand Theft Auto 3 they created a modern crime masterpiece. I felt honored when they approached me to collaborate on Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, and I am positive that fans of comics and games alike will agree that this is a match made in heaven." Kelly Sumner, Take-Two Interactive Software’s Chief Executive Officer added, "The Booze, Broads and Bullets' atmosphere of Sin City was an absolute perfect match for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Fans of the series will be thrilled when they encounter Marv, Hartigan, and the lovely Nancy Callahan, all lovingly rendered in stunning 3D. And of course, Lazlow will be on the radio, having shipped over from Liberty City." It Sounds 2 good to be true tho. When E3 comes, this whole mess will be put to rest and we will know then wat the supressor of Vice City is.
Rhinopotomas
Wow, thats pretty convincing, but remember the official word from R*: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GTA:SIN CITY. This April fools is going way too far. I mean what do we have: GTA: Sin City GTA: Gang Bang GTA: San Andreas GTA: Tokyo 2010 Did I miss anything? Lance_Vance_Dance
I don't know guys that sounds too convincing. And dont you remember a rockstar representitive going on CNN and mentioning gta sin city and gta4 as the next games? they have a group of 5 making gta4 right now and this could be the next game in line. it sounds much more believeable than tokyo 2010. And i did a search on sin city, and it seems as if sites have already picked up on it. click below to see wat i mean. Sony Web scroll down and it will have Grand Theft Auto: Sin City and it will have TBA as the release date.
Dark Angel
i would love to have R* to make a game based on gta1 and gta2 but in 3d for good gameplay. choose your own gangs and where you want to go. but ya this is April 1st so jokes on you
