An Idea for GTA VI

So I've been thinking, R* did multiple protagonists.

I feel like they can go for one protagonist again in GTA VI but I have an idea for it

How about multiple timelines? But with one protagonist.

This time you SWITCH between timelines and the City also changes. The story of the timelines should be related together.

As an example you switch from modern to the 80s and check out the new look of the city with missions related to the timeline.

OR

They can go for two protagonists in different timelines. The stories tie together in a creative way.

I Get Where Your Coming From But This Will Make The Story Boring And Jumping Threw Timelines No one Will Know What The Hell Is Happening And Are Current Generation Of Consoles Are Not Powerful Enough To Process All Cities At Once. And Also I Think That Will Make IT Feel Like A Different Game Series So i Personally Think They Should Keep Going On With What There Doing Currently

if they work good on this, that could come out nice! ive thought about this, and with these "codename americas" rumor, it makes a lot of sense.. i dont think there will be one protag only, two or more is actually the most probably.. imagine something about like "driver parallel lines", sort of something also like the beggining of gta V [but with a lot of story and missions before this, and before timeline changes, like maybe one american and some other south american protag.. i dont know

How would switching between timelines work with the plot?

"I am the protagonist and I want to reminisce about something that happened 20 years ago"

"I am the protagonist and I want to look to the future"

Something like Driver Parallel Lines could work, but only if half the game is in X year and the other half is in Y year. None of this switcharoo bullsh*t.

Yes. But in that case they have to make both versions of the city available in free roam. The reason I suggested a switch is basically because I'm afraid sth like North Yankton would happen again. If we have the first half of the game at the year 'X' and the other half at the year Y, chances are that they go full insane again and remove the feature to explore the city in year 'X' after the main story is finished.

Sounds like an interesting idea.

It would make the multiple character feature better because seeing how we're jumping timelines, Player X could leave some kind of legacy in Player Y's story.

That actually sounds like an amazing idea ... and if done the right way could be revolutionary.

MARKUS.

For the title I thought it was going to be a huge crap of idea.

And actually can be interesting but only if it’s implemented correctly. And I don’t know how the storyline could be fit and even, all the resources that a massive open world needs with changes because city has to look different of course
