Foxygr4mps
Ok so I know all of you want drifting in Gta and so do I but heres the problem. Go play a racing game and you will notice that the map is not layed out like a grid making roads feel more like a track. Gta V map is layed out like a grid in most sections making feel like a city and not a track. The problem is it would feel very unnatural drift in Gta as apposed to drifting in NFS. There are really only bout 7 places where its good. So for Rockstar to make a whole new handling file that works for everyone (I know there are mods but its very hard to drift in them if you were new to the game). So for Rockstar to put all that effort for only 7 places where it feels fun would be a waste of time and money for Rockstar. Just sharing my thoughts. SlevZ33
Just came across this and figured I'd throw a reply... Drifting in the city isn't difficult if you can predict how your car will behave, and the exact corners make for blatant clipping points. Really the only thing you have to worry about is unpredictable traffic on the tighter roads. I do it a lot with some of the more "torque" happy cars. (Tampa, Dukes, Vigero). If they added a new modification in LSC to give all your car a bit more spin then its doable on all parts of the map. City and Vinewood Hills included.. As for the reality, it's only purpose would be for a niche part of the game and therefore not worth Rockstars effort.
Foxygr4mps
Yes but the problem is beginners. People who dont play Gta for driving will try drifting for little bit and say its too hard thus leading to less people buying say drift cars (cus of course rockstar would put a pay wall for drifting)
ZenderAlpha
Let's say that rockstar added in an actual drifting mechanic to the game. Even if you were bored of drifting around the city or the countryside, couldn't you just create a drifting playground using the stunt race creator? Foxygr4mps
Good point but I would like to drift seamlessly without having to load into different drift playgrounds 16 minutes ago, SlevZ33 said: Just came across this and figured I'd throw a reply... HamwithCheese
I mean, there's also the fact that all cars seem to have a tcs system.
