Icarusu Posted July 11, 2018 Share Posted July 11, 2018 (edited) Hello, i've downloaded a skin from here https://www.gtainside.com/en/gta4/skins/104147-braixen-pokk-n-tournament-pok-mon but i don't really know how to install it, i'm kinda new and it counters the way player skins are installed, and i couldn't find anywhere teaching on that matter so i kept wondering how.. The files are like this http://prntscr.com/k5dc4k They are not body parts, so i don't know what exactly to replace, i tried the wtf and wtd only but no luck, what exactly i'm supposed to do? i'm supposed to replace some ped and use some mod that loads skin in-game or something? Actually i can't also replace skins with normal skin, i tried one that had all those body parts files to replace, i replace them yet my skin is missing textures and has a bizarre face. You'd have to rename those files to the name of a NPC model, replace them and use the skin selector mod to wear it. Make a backup of the files you will replace just in case. Make a backup of the files you will replace just in case. Yeah, i kinda figured that aleadry, but still they don't work with cutscenes, when niko shows up with the skin loaded it crashes.. Icarusu Posted July 12, 2018 Author Share Posted July 12, 2018 (edited) Am i supposed to accept this community has no support to installing skins? because most mods are for the trainer loader and therefore don't work with the cutscenes, but there isn't any help for that problem like many others, for example when i finally find a skin that is body parts to be installed over Niko but it has no textures whatsoever and i have no idea what to do, people prefer teaching in youtube how to install car skins and all videos are like 10 years old and actually help in nothing. Why can't we have a master guide laying somewhere or people that aren't lazy to actually make a niko skin instead of making a simple ped skin and letting it like that useless for story. What files from what folder are you replacing? I want to make sure you're replacing the right files. Also, do you use OpenIV?. Cutscene and In-Game models are very different so replacing a cs model with an in-game model can cause problems.
