have you ever found yourself in a peaceful lobby?

today i swear i found myself in a couple of mostly peaceful public lobbies.

the 1st one after i encountered a couple of players near one of the clothing stores in los santos, i was being cautious and i took out my heavy sniper and tried to get onr of them in my scope (no luck).

one of them sent me a message basically telling me to chill.

but before too long i got disconnected from xbox live.

 

the 2nd session was mostly peaceful as we except i had to deal with a tryhard who had a bounty (he killed me once but i killed him twice and got his bounty), i voted to kick him and soon after that he left.

have you ever found yourself in a peaceful lobby?

Of course I have.. often.. like 50/50 chance its a peaceful/friendly lobby with people working and/or messing around with eachother, and even if its a 'griefers' lobby, usually its only 1 or two tools, rest are pretty laid back.

Yes. Lobbies where there's a small amount of players who don't seek PvP do tend to be peaceful, as well as lobbies taken over by your crew and your friends. It's not that often, but they happen.

I'll play via wifi and even open YouTube to ensure one if I really need to, but mostly these days, a super car and a busy city of players does the trick too, lol. (And I'm not doing any businesses these days either, lol - Typical).

 

But anytime I did wanna do things, I'd bounce until I found an obvious crew at work, and then ask if I could join and not be kicked. (Yes haters, I 'beg' for my right to play GTA, lol).

 

No harm in being polite and asking with brief texts, worse that'll happen is I'm booted anyway. But alas, some find it beneath them to communicate, some even ridicule it, lol. I'm a peaceful player at heart, so I find it very, very easy to embrace others, talk, and enjoy my gaming. Most of the time.

 

These days, I'm far too rich to give two hoots about freemode work in it's current state though. It's a 'needs must' area of the game, nothing I can do consistently without getting so damn bored, lol. (Weather alone, or with/against others). Exception being I/E. Chasing and being chased in cars by all sorts, that's GTA for me.

In answer to the OP. Yeah every so often. It's far less common than finding a complete f*ckfest warzone lobby, which are a dime a dozen.

 

I've been in an accidental friendly lobby this morning, 7 solo MC Presidents all grinding away for around 90mins, then a Deluxo showed up, so I made my last delivery and left.

Yeah. Lots of times. It happened quite often when new businesses (or heists) came out where a good amount of people focused on their own stuff rather than bothering others.

But those were rarely (if ever) highly populated sessions. Usually at best about sixteen players - the old limit on the non enhanced version of GTA V/O.

 

People still seemed careful, driving and flying around others. But even when blips met on the map that I could see, no kill messages followed those encounters.

It's quite nice but the most I did in those sessions when it comes to earning money was collecting some product. Never major sales because that is simply foolish.

Yes but that's not the norm. 8 out of 10 players try to shoot me on sight. 1 gets into my vehicle and 1 runs away. Chances of getting killed are lower when I encounter a single player.

yesterday was great, a nearly full lobby, no griefers, like 6 ceo's running crates and delivering bunkers, was delivering my weed in chopper, ceo below me honked his horn as he passed by, honor amongst thieves, it still exists.

I mostly play in IP Filter protected sessions with like 6-15 players. That's the upside if your a PC player. It's great if you never have to worry about griefers and tryhards. Very relaxing playing like this.

rockstar tries time and time again to get the playerbase engaged with each other, by rewarding keen players with bounties and unique achievements for messing around with other players and still 95% of servers are filled with boring milk who do nothing to make the game fun

Every time I play, generally i'll enter a session and 10-20 mins after I start protecting cargo in an Akula it gets real calm.

Then out of nowhere i'm blown up and trapped in spawned cage by some cheater who's angry no one is meeting him at the airport for money drops because they're too busy playing the game to make legit millions.

S'all good either way, it's GTA so peace can only last so long.

lol i dont think you understood what i was trying to say, i mean that im sick of having to play with people that arent playing the game properly, people that waste all their time dressing up and driving trucks around and delivering numbers to get more numbers and doing nothing else but wasting their time and mine

 

also that gif is in really poor taste and kind of gross because it makes fun of so many people that are suffering enough as it is, no reason to bring more harm where it isnt needed in this world, we need more love not hate

Open world sandbox. No such thing as not playing "properly".

 

Some play almost exclusively to take pictures and make videos. Others like to create outfits or collect and customise cars. Some want to make money in peace for whatever DLC is coming next, some enjoy antagonising others and blowing stuff up. Etc. Etc.

 

No right or wrong, only opinions.

 

Although, if you're the type that enjoys the killing and blowing sh*t up aspect of the game, there's an abundance of like minded players to test yourself against rather than complaining that the guy driving a trash truck the length of the map doesn't want to be an easy target for you.

the guy driving a trash truck is an easy target for me, infact all my targets are easy because i prey on low level players 

 

thats not really the point im trying to make though, i consider myself a thinker on the big issues, the objective state of gta online not just my narrow experience

 

there is a real experience rockstar has tailored into the game that they have designed us to have, the truest way to play the ideal experience is what the game is built around

 

i think that for my enjoyment and every other players enjoyment we ought to all be aspiring towards that ideal mode of play and that ideal is objectively not playing grand theft barbie its, playing grand theft auto

When i want to fight every lobby is peaceful lol, no fights to enlist, and when i'm starting VIP work noone wants to join =(

But when i want to sell my cargo, other 29 players become a tryhards which want to destroy my cargo.

thanks that quote definitely rings true here, 

 

as a veteran player of all gta, i have been up down and around the block and back up it once more, ive seen everything and ive been on the forums for many years and so i have developed a knack at getting the feel of the audience both in this narrow subsect and the wider popul

 

the milk of gta are not happy, the average player is not playing the game in a way they enjoy because they arent aware that they are playing the game wrong

 

thats why im trying to help people, im experienced and know what is fun because ive tried everything, it turns out that the way i am describing is more fun, i know its more fun for everyone because ive run experiments time and time again in servers where i have initiated this sort of play style and routinely i receive really positive feedback that makes me want to keep going and share the fun with more people

 

so ill continue to try because im a good person and because i care about people having fun in this game i enjoy and share
