FearThoseWhoFearHim 814 Posted July 9, 2018 (edited) I've been reading and watching a lot of stuff about it since many years, but I don't have balls to enter in one, even I know very well where are in my country. Curious to know any kind of sharing experience and why you do it?. If I explore a cave, I wish like many of us, searching gold, pearls, treasures or old bones, but I think there are ones just having fun. chronic lumbago 2,985 Posted July 9, 2018 Not a cave, but I did explore an abandoned bunker in the woods as well as an abandoned house. The house was meh but thinking about the bunker gives me goosebumps. There are no caves where I live, at least never saw one. I've heard Zello lives inside a cave. Maybe ask him. Lol On topic: we have many caves around the island where I'm from so I've been to quite a few. My favourite one had a little pool or whatever you may call it inside the cave. Was cold swimming in it. Lol Edit: photo for reference Edited July 10, 2018 by Rougarou
Sanches 9,222 Posted July 10, 2018 I was in a cave once. It was smaller than my toilet room. It even felt like my toilet room. Full of puddles and smelled bad. The only photo i could find tho.

GTA_CAT 186 Posted July 10, 2018 I have entered in a lot of small caves but always least than 4 meters so they weren't caves at all. Also I explored an abandoned mine where I took a blue stone, probably because of copper oxide.
Doctor Holliday 213 Posted July 11, 2018 Caves are where white people go to get trapped in small spaces for literally no good reason Like, we have an entire world above ground made for comfortable living where you can enjoy sunlight, stretch your legs, and breathe plentiful oxygen. There's nothing useful to discover down there in that pitch black hole. Leave it alone. What greatness ever came from exploring a cave? Best case scenario; they name the cave after you (which never got anyone laid). Worse case scenario; you die. Spelunkers like to fancy themselves 'adventurous' or 'curious' or 'thrill-seeking' but these are just clever synonyms for a stupid young man with nothing to gain and everything to lose
VenomDYOM 366 Posted July 11, 2018 I don't like to explore caves, I like to explore WW2 bunkers. (Still haven't found any bunker though).

I'd presume it's the thrill of exploring, conquering hard routes, viewing places most people don't get to see. Probably the same feeling for the urbex crowd but nobody is slating those - what greatness ever came from exploring an abandoned building? best case scenario; you get some cool pictures and videos (which never got anyone laid). Worst case scenario; you die (or get a healthy dose of asbestos). All gonna die anyway, may aswell do some sh*t that interests you as opposed to slating peoples hobbies on a video game forum

We have quite a few around here on the island. Used to be Japanese bunkers and storages If I remember correctly. I've been in the ones pictured they are tinnnnnyyyyy as hell. Wouldn't be good if youre claustrophobic. Lol 😲

Short Stay 120 Posted July 11, 2018 2 hours ago, Blaze said: exploring holes in the ground = super lame exploring rectangles above ground = super cool gotcha I agree there is something odd about wanting to explore holes in the ground, do they feel the urge to get back into the womb or something? On the other hand, there is something terribly brave about squeezing through those claustrophobic gaps and passages. Weird but respect anyway.
