Tablet display issues after replacing battery/data sync cable

So long story short, it wasn't receiving a charge in September and purchased a new battery then. That wasn't the problem

 

Then a few weeks ago I bought a data sync cable and installed it. It received a charge because the backlight would turn on, but no other display.

 

 

The mini hdmi works and the touch works, so I factory restored it but nothing is displaying on the tablet.

 

 

The display was working 100% fine before it stopped receiving a charge but now nothing.
