In vcs, marking vehicles can be done by interrupting the entering animation of a ped. You either get a padlock and buy the vehicle when the ped does the entering animation or you activate a side mission when a ped enters a vehicle while he's out of sight. In 3 and vc, marking is done with replay. In all these cases, the door is rendered unenterable ( storing the vehicle in the garage fixes this ), so I believed we might do something similar in lcs, but here, peds leaves the vehicle and walks away if you attempt the side mission trick, padlocks do not exists in this game and courses generates a new vehicle.

Me and RationalPsycho found each a way to mark vehicles with Toni, as long as the game teleports Toni. Unfortunately, none of these helps with the AP TP NE conversion as both these ways requires hot wheels or a volatile situation mission. Hot wheels one doesn't help, because it renders the vehicle unenterable. A volatile situation one helps for AP toyz only

 

Edit: two opcodes are the reason why you can teleport inside with both sides blocked, leave vehicle in memory and respawn back on land if it falls in the blue hell. These opcodes are stored globally, instead of locally, which causes a glitch we called marked virus

As for why vehicles marked with the broken animation do not survive blue hell or doesn't allow teleportation is because these opcodes aren't applied and the game is scripted not to remove a vehicle while an entering/ exiting animation is executed. In vcs, teleporting inside vehicles with both sides blocked is possible due to the way the game is programmed.

If you're up to find a new way to mark vehicles in lcs, you need smth which teleports toni, even for a short distance

Well, the rail-shooter method locks both doors forever, and it doesn't mark anything.

I feel even dumber... You mean, if the game teleports Toni somewhere, it marks the vehicle... for some reason?..

Since the course menu generates a new vehicle, it's out of discussion

Railshooters too

Rest side missions do not teleport toni

I see biker heat working: avenging angel, get in the marker in chinatown, cancel aa, enter the desired vehicle and press X during the entering or exiting animation. Toni should get teleported to chinatown and the vehicle should be marked

I think there is a method which has a good chance to work if you wanna test it: start a race with vigilante active ( in other words, om0 method for race vehicles ). W/o pressing X, get the vehicle you want to mark, enter from passanger seat and while Toni does the entering animation, press X

Yes, or so I thought. At the time, my "marked" car really wouldn't disappear, regardless of the amount of other vehicles I entered and as I hadn't used the garage to mark said vehicle, I figured it was an alternative marking method. A similar thing happened to me during the Stop the Press mission with the marker at the church. 

Another thing that led me off the track was the Maverick from the Sicilian Gambit mission. This one is marked by default, it has a glitched door that makes it, even without the mission script, undisappearable. When Madalinn then confirmed my "findings", I thought, I had just gotten unlucky when I couldn't redo the race-marking-method. 

I am sorry for all the confusion I caused. 

Marking with pedestrians surely works. I now had multiple instances of thieves marking a random car of mine that I took from traffic. 

 

Also, I don't remember showing this

here before. 

Basically, it's an om0 less method for the NE conversion that can be done after the ordinary 100%. 
Doing all this blindly is quite complicated so just stick to the directions in the description and hope no traffic f*cks you over.

My main question is: would be there any way to mark vehicles with peds? Or Toni itself; yes it works, as long as you find sonething which teleports Toni

I think I have an idea, but very hard to pull off; it was luck based in vcs: get a pcj 600 and get a bit away from the vehicle. Wait until someone wants to get in it and while the npc performs the entering animation, speed away while looking back. If luck is on our side, the ped vanishes, but the vehicle remains marked

NE conversion w/o om0 and anytime, nice

Shame you can't set the om state to 0 after getting the menu. Course menu w/o rampage would be something

Good news for mobile players: the UH 2.0 conversion which uses low rider rumble works. However, you need course 7, because course 1 crashes

Just trying to revive this topic some more:
Converting helicopters to AP/TP is pretty easy now

Spoiler

 

1. Mark police car and park it at the place where you park your police car to convert vehicles AP/TP
2. Mark PCJ 600 and park it at the unfinished tunnel's entrance which will be blocked if not on the mission
3. Mark Maverick and park it at any tunnel entrance so you can get it "quickly"
1, 2 & 3 are for making things faster, you can of course do it the slow way as well but it will take years for you to make it 
4. Get AA (infinite timer is good so you don't have to do everything within 2 minutes lol) 
5. Get B&G menu 
6. Start BTHD
7. Go until you reach the part where you have to escape by ramming the gate
8. Go where the pic is and cancel AA 
9. Jump on the PCJ 600 through the barrier and get to the Maverick
10. Fly through any unsolid part of LC and get underneath the gate
11. Break the gate but be careful, a DP Maverick is good for this 
12. Cancel B&G 
13. Start Vigilante
 

Depending on your timing, this can be done without passing BTHD so future conversions can be done and in addition to that, Firefighter should be a good choice if you don't want to have the B&G menu and prefer to constantly press one button through the whole procedure.

The UC/UC2 Leone Sentinel from The Guns Of Leone is not very difficult to obtain either

If you don't want to deal with wrecks, you can also just dump the Leone Sentinel in the ocean before Sal makes it to the strip club and get it after the mission passes. This vehicle is only special on the PSP version of the game as on PS2 and mobile, the carcols entry is fixed.

 

The 9mm Mayhem side mission vehicles seemed to pose problems when obtaining due to their tendency of being heavily luck based. Not anymore (someone please test this on real hardware for assurance)

What about a method for no PSP players? They can't mark vehicles like us

Not only 9mm mayhem, awol angel too. They love turning around going uphill, causing you to lose it...

For non PSP players, I will simply copy paste what I stated in the video's description:
What isn't shown in the video is the setup, but I can explain it briefly: Both, PSP and PS2 players need the B&G menu, a running AA instance and an infinite timer. For the cars, PSP/emulator will have to mark a bike, a helicopter and a police car. Where you park the helicopter doesn't matter, the bike though needs to be parked at the tunnel entrance and face the tunnel, the police vehicle needs to be parked at the exit of the unfinished train station. For PS2 and Mobile players, marking is not so easy so you will have to take the Avenger as your bike and the two vehicles that you will store in memory are the helicopter of yours and a police car and you will not be able to enter any other vehicle besides the Rumpo that is given to you by the mission.

 

Easy Awol Angel vehicles:
1. B&G menu & park vehicle at the corner where Toni spawns during the cutscene & wear Avenging Angels fatigue & have Flamethrower ammunition & infinite timer
2. Start Awol Angel
3. Get inside vehicle
4. Start Avenging Angels 
5. chase down the targets until you reach the desired vehicle
6. Scare the driver out using the flamethrower
7. Get inside vehicle
8. Cancel Avenging Angels
9. Drive vehicle to your garage

Another way to mark vehicles is to interrupt toni animation by teleporting him. This can be done in 2 missions: a volatile situation and stop the press. For now, Massdia recorded avs one. Stp is the same, needs the same setup

What actually happens: when you enter the marker, toni is teleported outside the vehicle. If he is teleported while he executes the exiting animation, the vehicle became marked and it will not disappear  if you enter more vehicles while it's out of sight and away

Annoying? What do you mean? Hard to get or list in the guide?

I've changed from Chrome to Firefox, it is much faster. The portland side mission section is huge, but now it's much easier to, say, find a specific car. Having all vehicles in one big list was a real mess, now it's not annoying at all.

Welp, that's still pretty good for keeping vehicles 'till Staunton/Shoreside. Great find!

One more thing stop the press might help us with is with the AP TP NE conversion for taxi and hoods rumpo xl. For this, marked vehicles are needed. Actually, the conversion is listed as PSP only, due to interrupted animation not working like we believed before

Hi everyone. I play on a PSP emulator on an Android phone. I am attempting to AP/TP Convert the EC Navy blue Manana, though I want to repeat it. I am having trouble though. I turn off Fast Mem, I activate vigilante, though if I activate it a bit too late, the screen goes blank forever. If I activate it after I hear the Explosion at the campus, it still gets passed so I cannot repeat it. What do I have to do? Also the other vehicles I will also convert are the EC Light blue Kuruma and the EC Black Sentinel.

Unlike youtube, it looks like you're telling here that you use ppsspp android, not ppsspp windows

Well, this might be the trouble: the platform. First, I thought the repeatable conversion is so unreliable so it works only on sone pcs. But I tried on some worse pcs and it worked fine

I still get the same result. Infinite loading screen. I used state saves. Should I start from scratch? Get different game version? Or the PSP emulator version?

I got the US version v.3.00 of GTA LCS. The PSP emulator version is v1.4.2

Yes, you should start from scratch things like this.

Or maybe even another version. I'm not sure, but most likely, I have us 2.0. What I'm really sure is that I have a cso image, as opposite to the usual iso

I doubt ppsspp version matter, but if you wanna change this one as well, I suggest you the 1.7.2, as this is the emu version I use

I still got bad results, infinite loading screen of vigilante. Didn't use state saves that time. All I think is the LCS version. May influence the results.

Correct. Just like you, I also have a problem in the current save I play on: after 3 ap tp vehicles, the fourth one disabled safehouses markers. Before the fast mem option was discovered, the repeatable ap tp conversion was tried, which resulted in game softlock: safehouse, mission and ferry markers disabled, rampages and side missions not acesible, suicide/bust wouldn't fix it. But in my case, only the safehouse thing happens to me. I will try again and tell the results

Sorry for late response. I had some trouble, but let's get over this. I uploaded my lcs version so you can try once more the repeatable ap tp conversion: https://ufile.io/v5gxwoix

 

Well, even if this conversion can be repeated, actually, you can't do it more than 3 times. If you do it for the 4th time, safehouse markers will be disabled and passing bthd will be impossible, due to a locked gate which prevents you to reach the second place where you can plant a bomb

You can have a fourth ap tp(ne) vehicle by using the irepeatable conversion. Irepeatable one doesn't disable safehouse markers

Important Information
