Ironic, but no, it's legit. It lets you type in a website name and it will tell you if it is down or not.

Is a 5400 RPM 400 GB HDD supposed to be this terrible?
I regularly get the BSoD due to some error called kernel_inpage_error or something.. I looked it up and it looks like it's HDD related. My disk usage is also usually off the roof (5-10 MB/s for system or any random app).

Depends on how loading is handled by the game, due to how games are optimized these days it only really affects the initial loading of the game for most games.

That's the miserable part.

I don't game, my laptop struggles hard with basic tasks, opening an app takes ages, they crash regularly, and I can barely keep 10 tabs open without having my disk usage sky rocket into oblivion.

Recently, I've been have conflicted thoughts.

I've been thinking about joining the British Army, I have no qualifications and it seems like one of the few options left for me to have a fulfilling career.

That said, I feel conflicted. My political views and background see to be at odds with the British Army, I'm very left wing and my family is from a non-British background (In fact I had Irish relatives who fought the British).

 

What do you guys think? Should I have a proper look into it? I have a feeling my idea of the army is a bit of a fantasy and I'd be betraying my principals. Also, the British Army is overwhelmingly White British and I worry that I'd be subject to racism.

The PS3 has gigabit Ethernet. It probably has more to do with the server you are downloading stuff from.

How easy is it to learn to free aim on a console compared to a PC (with a mouse)? I would be curious to hear what any of you who are both console and PC gamers have to say on this matter. Free aiming with a controller seems intrinsically harder for me and I'm wondering if it is possible to learn to aim as well as most people can with a mouse.

I give my PC friends grief sometimes, but I gotta say that the keyboard + mouse is probably the best for FPS. One of the reasons I never got onto the CoD games on the consoles was the hard time I had with the aiming. It's so much better aiming with a k + m. I don't know if you can be as precise, but you might be able to get a handle on it with some practice. I use invert aim for the x axis so that's hard to get used to on the console as well.

 

Can you use a k + m on a console game, or is that wishful thinking?

Not likely. The Sony Plastation has a Keyboard that attaches to the Game Controller, but unless the specific game has a use for it it will not work.
