Iirc, it was His Money: so he could do what he wanted with it, so to answer Your question: No, nobody forced him to buy it. He bought it & it was comfy too. Win-win for both him & me.

Sorry to hear you've lost your dad.  I guess I was making the assumption that it was his wife who picked the furniture (How many men actually like being dragged around furnishing warehouses in the holiday season?).  Looking at that sofa again, I'd not pass on it myself.  It has a good, deep reach, and so would be comfortable for me.  Is it actually hairy like it looks in the photo, or is that just a printed-on effect?  I'd definitely pass on a hairy sofa.  Hairy might be warm and cosy but would get dirty real quick.

It's not too hairy & very fairly easy to clean, there's a name for the material, i just can't remember it.

Anyways, i'm just looking for more info on that style of sofa & chair set. If you find any info on it, tag me again OR Message me.

Thanks in advance

I may be talking out of my arse, but I think it's because people have learned about GDPR and feel like exercising their right to privacy. They haven't researched it thoroughly, they've just looked up what the acronym means and how it might affect them. They register an account on a forum they barely had any intention of visiting just so they could browse a few posts about horses in RDR2 before slamming their genitals on the table and demanding that their account be deleted. They are well within their right to do so, mind you - I'm not saying it's a bad practice, but it does make me wonder why for account holders like this. Your digital footprint is an important thing to cultivate, but I doubt you'll have headhunters looking you up in ten years, seeing you have shared a particularly spicy take on whatever GTA Online DLC rubbed you the wrong way and then proceed to reject you for a job interview. It's hard not to be cynical when I don't care who they are when they request for deletion, let alone what they think they're running from. To each their own, though. I personally think they've just changed their minds about wanting an account and rather just leaving it to rot like I did with my Serebii forums account, they make a big song and dance about not coming back.

In a nutshell, GDPR stands for "general data protection regulation". This measure was put in place in 2018 to essentially give users of the internet more control over their personal data. This includes things like subscription emails, cookies, accounts on forums like this and other facets of online life that may reveal personal information. As well as personal browsing at home, places of work also have to comply with regulations now in regards to how they store and collect data. If you're curious, this article does a decent job of explaining the basics without getting too heavy.

Okay, I have this life-long fear, but the problem is I have no idea what the phobia is called, and it's always been hard for me to define exactly what it is. I can show things that trigger it, but that's generally all I can do. I'm hoping someone here that has phobia knowledge might know what it's called, if it even has a name.

So What would it Look like with all the planets between the earth and the moon?  is one thing that severely triggers my phobia. I honestly have a very hard time watching that video. Watching it in full screen is a definite no for me.

The Salt Flats image  is also another thing that seriously triggers my phobia.

There's also the Nebula effect that was added to Fortnite Creative mode that also triggers it, infact that was the reason why I'm asking here as I recently just discovered it in the game, and I nearly gave myself an anxiety attack over it.

Does this phobia have a name, and what is it called?

As someone who actually had their account deleted, I feel I can weigh in on this. I definitely impulsively went through with it for the most part. I don't fully understand the whole GDPR thing, I just knew I was eligible for it and at the time I think I really needed to get away and it was hard for me to do so. I think I had different reasons than most however, it wasn't really about the privacy for me. I needed those two months to disconnect from the internet. I think everyone should do it at some point, although deleting your account I wouldn't recommend. If you're an established member you'll probably miss it. I will agree with not understanding why newer members seem to want it more, they don't realy have a posting history or anything anyways, it's likely easier to just go. Although, I fully understand why someone wouldn't want an account they won't use, I've felt the same about some sites that didn't give you the option to remove your account and I had no interest in.

I think it's called Kenophobia, which is the fear of the void/empty spaces: https://www.fearof.net/fear-of-voids-or-empty-spaces-phobia-kenophobia/. I can somewhat relate to that, though, in my case, it's mostly with videogame void.

I've got an interesting question to ask you all:

How many of you can produce images in your head? For example, if I asked you to picture an apple in your mind could you do it?

I've recently discovered that I'm in the minority that can't conjure up any images at all, which is apparently called Aphantasia, I don't have a mind's eye.

I can picture images in my mind, do it all the time.  An interesting experiment is to picture, say, three oranges in a row and try to see them all at once, then look at the skin of one of them.  You can't picture them all at once at the same time as examining the skin.  This is an excellent example of how your mind's eye works the same way as your eyes do.  It suggests that your mind's eye is a product of your visual system.  Perhaps your visual system and the mind's eye work in tandem, a feedback loop.

Can you picture your family?

I do this all the time, specially when reading a book.

No. I can't even picture my Mom or Dad. I thought this was normal up until recently. If I met you in real life, I wouldn't be able to picture you after. I'd just remember defining details about you, but I wouldn't be able to picture what you look like in my head.

Wow. This is why I've always struggled to enjoy a book. When people say they get lost in a book, I didn't really know to the extent they meant it. When I read a book, it's literally just words, so heavily descriptive writing gets lost on me. Most likely why I've always preferred picture books or autobiographies.

I wonder if there is anyone else on the forum that is like me, it's so strange to be this way.

I guess it is normal not be able to picture people correctly. When I imagine people's faces, I can only make them up for about a second before their faces either become kind of blurry or generic in some fashion, yet they still appear familiar. Same goes for the clothes I imagine they wear, it keeps changing for every mental ''blink'' I make. Otherwise to stay focused on animating their details properly for longer, I'd really have to exhaust myself mentally to do that.

Hey, i've got a Question:

What ever happend to the User (Ambient) , the one who was making stuff for a GTA Rainier (Seattle) project?

was the user banned or moved on? i'm asking for 2 reasons:

Reason #1: I have the bright idea to make my own version of Rainier

And Reason #2: i checked Ambient's profile & they haven't been online since December 2, 2018

I have had constipation with limited defecation since last Monday and reached for the doctor this Friday to get some laxatives. Saturday was full of hardcore diarrhea, so I cut if off this Sunday, thinking I cleared out the pipes, but now I can feel the abdominal pain coming back and I haven't been sh*tting all day.

So if any of you have had constipation and used laxatives, how many days did you take them before you stopped doing so and your sh*t went back to normal without relapses in poop quality?

I don't think asking a gaming forum for medical advide is a great idea.

True, but I wouldn't call it medical advice. Just asking what everyone else's experience is of literally not giving a sh*t, and get an indication of how long it may last.

I'm glad I can put a name to it now. This is something I'd like to get over, at least to some degree. It's annoying because I can't enjoy things like planetariums and anything similar.

Sorry for the late reply.

I have a chromebook and i've added a 120GB memory card to add well more memory of course but for some reason instead of installing the apps onto the SD card when the device memory is full it simply tells me to delete apps to make room.

Since it's running on Android OS i assume it's the same method as on an Android phone so can anyone help me get it to where i can either select where to install the app or to make the SD card primary install path.

I know how to move files such as music, movies and ect but not the apps

It's a Samsung Chromebook Plus if it matters

Any help is greatly appericated
