I should have said hipster millennials. :)

@Buck - it's the tight shirts that look like they will just Hulk off you if you yawn...and the pants that look like 'floods'. What is it with that look? Why? Do people want to look like they have grown out of their brother's hand me downs and can't afford clothes or something?

I have never heard from anyone that they buy their clothes one size too small here, I'm not a millennial myself, well I was born just before that time so I can't really call myself a millennial but I usually prefer to buy sweaters and shirts one size larger than my actual size, nothing more really.

I regret to inform you that you are in fact a millennial, unless you are considerably older than your profile indicates. ;)

Why do millennials all wear their clothes one size too small?

Sharp uptake in fashion based masochism.

and the pants that look like 'floods'. What is it with that look? Why?

That's been in and out of style since at least the early 60s. It's generally done to show off socks and/or shoes/boots. The look was initially popularized by American soul musicians and emulated by black American youths before hopping the Atlantic and becoming a popular style with mods/skinheads in the late 60s, and again in the late 70s and into the 80s.

It's popular again for largely the same reasons I would think, though it's no longer really specific to any particular subculture.

Mostly for a fitted look. Sometimes the size that's supposed to be "natural" for our body is too loose, borderline baggy. I have this problem with medium-sized flannels and jackets, I can never find one that hugs my body without going down one size, but they start getting a bit short for my tastes. Even with a supposed "slim-fit" shirt, it still feels baggy at medium, which makes shopping for shirts and jackets more annoying. I can't speak for other people about this though...

I just prefer a fitted look over something that looks very baggy; the most baggy I'll go is sweat pants and basketball shorts, but I rarely wear those.

American soul musicians

Today's hipster is nowhere near as cool as those past souls. Nowhere.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's nice to know every generation gets to look back at their youth and say "I thought that looked cool"?

I get really uncomfortable being a passenger, no matter who's driving. It has nothing to with their driving. If a friend offers to drive somewhere/pick me up, I always lie because the thought of being a passenger makes me really uncomfortable/nervous(sweating, stressing, fidgeting, biting nails, other compulsive behaviour), without knowing why.

The only "bad" experience I've had in traffic is that the first time I was a passenger after I got my license, my friend crashed with another car on the main road(to which I'm adjacent) after 50 meters at the most. I certainly don't remember it as particularly jarring; I laughed and chuckled for an hour straight IIRC.

I don't really have a specific question regarding this but I'm sure as heck looking for possible answers to why I'm like this and what to do about it :/

^Still looking for potential answers!

Other question: For those who write a journal or diary, do you do it in english or your native language?

You're possibly a control freak and afraid of allowing someone to essentially hold your life in their hands by being the driver, since you've been in a crash as a passenger in the past.

The subconscious is a crazy thing, there could be something in there making you fear losing that control and it's showing itself as anxiety. I've never been in a crash, but I kinda think that's why I'm afraid of flying, in that I don't have control of the situation and don't want to die.

It's not about "control" in a dominating douchebay way, just the idea that you're in charge of your own actions and don't like the thought of anything unknown.

Is it safe to call a white person "Caucasian" if you're not sure what country they hail from?

It's more of a memoir than a journal, but I write it in both English and Spanish...

Depends on what you mean by 'call'.

You would be amazed at how many back end systems only have 'black' and 'white' as the race indicator...regardless of what value is used as the ethnicity indicator.

A vague example would be unrelated systems that grew up separately but later it made sense for those systems to share data. One of those systems is considered the final landing spot for the data...let's call it System A. System B is younger thus it has all sorts of race options but since System A is the final spot for the data then there has to be a conversion from System B's info to what fits in the race field that System A knows...and since system A is old and only knows 'black' or 'white' no matter what System B gathers it gets converted.

Just call them white. Caucasian is okay too, for a square.

English, I'm learning French right now but I'm not at a strong enough level to completely write the paragraphs I do.

I have a question about a movie from my childhood probably too obscure.

Does anyone know of a children's movie or show from the 80s/90s in which some kid (I think a girl) befriends some Bigfoot type creature and hides it in her house from other people chasing it?

You're not a millenial. That makes Darkshadows Generation Z. No offense to any millennials but Generation Z is a way cooler sounding name.

I'm lost. What generation am I supposed to be at 26? Generation Z sounds like an experiment from a piss-poor science fiction flick.

Not to my knowledge. You'll remind online for a period for as long as you're signed in but I'm not sure at what point you'll fall off the active user list.

Mind you, I could be completely wrong but that's how I've always understood it.

Do having headaches in different parts of your head mean anything?

Like somedays ill have one maybe in the front, like towards my forehead, sometimes in the middle of it, and so on. Are they caused by different things?

A headache is simply pain in the head and neck, so there's a variety of different headaches.
