My question,

If you are born in the British Cypriot territory of Akrotiri and Dhekelia, do you obtain a British passport, a Cypriot passport or both?

Like any other British overseas territory, I assume it would result in a British passport.

Can confirm, is British, from first hand knowledge as a friend of mines granddaughter was born on the Akrotiri base, and as it's sovereign territory, she is a British subject.

Does anyone know what song this is from? I tried to look up the lyrics but nothing.

It somehow comes from this song.

can someone help me on practice excercise 3.1. I get a total of 16 hydrogen atoms or 24 i guess if one hydrogen molecule consists of 3 atoms. The product however has 18 hydrogen atoms according to the answer?

EDIT: wait do you just write down the reactant to make an actual equation then balance that?

Welp need help again, I really hate this stupid book for not giving the explanation for some of the answers

"Write a balanced chemical equation for the following chemical reactions"

"the surface of aluminum metal undergoes a combination reaction with oxygen in the air."

The book says 4 Al+3O2 →2Al2O3

Okay so i figured chemical foruma of aluminum oxide, Al2O3 so would 2Al+O3 →AI2O3 work?

I swear to god if someone makes that assumption one more time just by looking at the thumbnail and not even listening to the song, I'm going to shove pens down my throat.

Doooooooooooooooo it!!!! DOOOOO ITTT!!!

But seriously though, that's where the evidence has led to. The case got cold. I heard it, it doesn't sound like it, but that's what everyone commented on the vid has said. That it had came from, "Stadium Rave A" - Mark Governor.

No, as the formula says, NH3 (ammonia) has three hydrogen atoms in it. If you have six molecules of ammonia, these must contain a total of 18 hydrogen atoms as 3 * 6 = 18.

Also, one molecule of hydrogen gas, H2, always has two hydrogen atoms in it.

EDIT: wait do you just write down the reactant to make an actual equation then balance that?

Yes, write down reactants and products first. Then you can add coefficients (whole numbers) to either side of the equation to make sure it's correct, like a math equation. The number of atoms of each kind must be exactly the same on both sides. Nothing can disappear or add to the reaction without explanation, this is the conservation of mass.

Okay so i figured chemical foruma of aluminum oxide, Al2O3 so would 2Al+O3 → AI2O3 work?

No. If the question references oxygen "in the air" it always means O2, which is oxygen gas, the form of oxygen that we breathe.

O3 is a different substance, ozone. It is really toxic to humans and not present in the air we breathe, it's found high up in the atmosphere where it protects us from the sun's radiation. Anyways, it does not react in the same way as O2 does, simply adding the two together like you did in your final formula doesn't work, chemistry isn't quite that simple. :)

From the top of my head:

-Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness

-The Thing (1982)

-The Naked Gun trilogy

-Spider-Man 2

-Ghostbusters 1 & 2 (never understood why the sequel is so unpopular amongst fans, i find it good as the first one)

-Reservoir Dogs

-King Kong (1933)

-Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

-Robocop 2

-American Psycho

-Dawn of the Dead (the remake is pretty good too)

-Predator

And f*ck it, but i still enjoy a lot Ace Ventura movies, can't help not to laugh everytime i see them.

Found a video on U-Tube of Lt. Walter Haut the person who released the press release at the Roswell incident pretty much admitting that "something from outer space" came down at Roswell and that the "public may not accept it very gracelessly". He admitted this on his deathbed... Why don't people care more about this stuff??? :/

If you expect to see aliens, UFOs or the like in everything you look, you'll find anything as pointless as a vague youtube video as something worth caring about.

Most people don't, so they don't.

Americans, do you like mayonnaise (in general, I know personal preference exists, I don't mean that)? It's a recurring theme I've always seen/heard that Americans generally don't like mayonnaise that much.

Please enlighten me. I must know.

I personally don't care for it very much i'll only have it on a Cheesesteak or a BLT other then that i won't touch it, But i knew a kid in grade school who used to come to school with a little tub of it for his lunch and he'd eat it like pudding

Anyone knows if these work for removing thermal paste on ps3?

I think its time I changed the thermal paste since my PS3 is very warm these days and makes huge noise.

I like it tons, like Payne especially on a burger. I honestly don't know very many people who don't... and it's generally pretty popular. I'd add that one to the "urban myths about Americans that aren't true." For example, we don't ALL own guns and weigh 300lbs. Just most of us.

To my South American friends, please excuse the use/misuse of "American", "Untied Statesian" just doesn't roll of the keyboard.

sorry for more chemistry questions. Really getting sick of this stupid book just giving me a random compound without the formula an expecting me to magically know what it is.

How do you know that SO4 is sulphate? and if you 2 hydrogen into that how do you know to call it sulfuric acid?

They are just names you have to learn. There is no true logic behind compound names, you are expected to to know the basic ones by heart. Edited by Andreaz1

What do you mean 'how do you know when SO4 is a sulphate?'? SO4 is the sulphate group.

And I think the distinction between hydrogen sulphate and sulphuric acid is that the acid is aq.

Hydrogen sulphate and sulphuric acid is not even the same compund.

SO42- = sulphate ion

HSO4- = hydrogen sulphate/bisulphate

H2SO4 = sulphuric acid

No, but I remember when I went to Germany, everyone put mayo on everything. Hell, if you get fries at McDonalds, they ask if you want ketchup or mayo with it.
