Do girls find a beard on a man more attractive than clean shaven?

In Australia according to the Gillette Kissing Survey, conducted by the online dating site, RSVP.com.au 80% of women surveyed that they prefer to see the return of the clean shaven face while 77% of women have opted not to kiss a man due to having a beard or stubble.

http://www.lifestyle.com.au/health/do-women-prefer-clean-shaven-or-stubbly-men.aspx

No bias there whatsoever.

Obviously an altruistic study that just so happened to bolster the bottom line of the financier of said survey. Serendipity!!

It's an important part of those religions and used to be in Christianity as well... Biologically, very few people need it.

The Dedito Gae

Do girls find a beard on a man more attractive than clean shaven?

I'm not a woman, but if your "beard" is full of spots and looks like a pubic hair salad, then shave, same goes for every lazy teenager out there. Edited by Midnight Hitman

Drill Sergeant

Is anyone else dreaming about people you've haven't talked to lately then they call/message you? I been getting this lately. I was dreaming about a cute girl from my high school (who is also my friend) then she messaged me out of nowhere. "Hey Jordan how are you :)"

I think this only happens when two people are thinking about each other. Does that mean whoever is in my dreams are thinking about me too? Plz help. I can't English today

Edit: And also if it dreaming about someone should I talk to them?

If your goal is to become an expert in literature then your experteese in math wont really shorten your path, simillary if you want to become a programmer Shakespeare can only help so much before getting locked up back into the chamber of irrelevancy.

In short check with the universities you want to go and see what criteria they have and which subjects hold any importance for them

Most places expect a minimum C in both, or at least they used to.

In Windows, how can I open a program when after trying nothing happens? I click on the program, and then simply nothing happens. Is my only option to restart?

I'm trying to open Skype for Business (which normally works everyday without a hitch), but today it gives a quick little loading icon and then nothing happens. I viewed Task Manager and it's not running in the background.

What's more important, an English GCSE, or a Maths GCSE?

According to my knowledge, all unis in the UK require a C in both anyways.

Just read on a news article that whisky, cognac and red wine apparently contains methanol, which supposedly gives you a harder hangover.

But seriously though, is this even true? As much as I know, methanol is metabolized into two different toxins that are by the noun toxic and can cause blindness and even death.

Then how the hell would a distillery allow a certain quantity of methanol in their products?

I just googled it and found the same info as you, but it's the difference between methanol and ethanol, not sure that the info on how toxic the methanol is as, according to The Internet, just another form of alcohol... could that be confused with methane?

Also, nice new avatar brother.

What's more important, an English GCSE, or a Maths GCSE?

Generally I'd say a maths GCSE. But it depends obviously. I think maths is regarded as a harder subject and an A/A* in that is worth more than an A/A* in English. You definitely need a C in both though.

They wouldn't, I say BS. What's the news article you read? Methanol as you say is seriously toxic.

No one with any chemistry education, let alone a brewery, would confuse methanol and ethanol with each other.

I meant Paperbagdude might be confusing methanol and methane as methanol is commonly found in many liquors. According to my 1 minute of research.

Where exactly did that one minute lead you? Methanol is very toxic, it is most definitely not an ingredient in "most liquors". It is something you don't want to make in the first place.

"many people regularly drink other, more innocuous products that contain methanol. Methanol is found naturally in fruit juice and distilled spirits such as whiskey, wine, and beer."

I might have exaggerated about that "minute", looks like more around 10 seconds.

Try:

- Opening the program from C:\Program Files (x86) (or it might be somewhere else, right click the icon and choose open file location to see where it is)

- Typing the full path into command prompt (run: cmd, type in C:\(path to program)\skype.exe , press enter) to see if it gives any error messages that aren't being displayed. Just typing skype in might work too.

- Running the program as an administrator.

- Re-installing the program if none of that works.

The amount of methanol in drinks for human consumption is absolutely minute. It's a side effect of the alcohol brewing and distillation process, yes, but is very toxic in any sizeable amount.

The article is in Danish, but I assume you're able to understand some of it.
''Dark liqours such as red wine, whisky and cognac contains a great quantity of methanol. Methanol (wood alcohol) is in the liver metabolized to the toxins formaldehyde and formic acid, which is believed, to play a role around the hangovers, states the two educated doctors Kim Bartholdy and Andreas Hof in their new book '100 myths - About health and disease'''

Yeah I can read that. It's very vague though, just says "large amounts", which can mean anything unless it's relative to something else. According to KNI Caltech's methanol MSDS (http://kni.caltech.edu/facilities/msds/methanol.pdf) the oral LD50 (for rats) value is 5628mg/kg. Without having done the exact maths right now that's probably millions or even billions times more than you could ever ingest purely by drinking alcoholic beverages if the link that Alien posted is anything to go by for comparison. As sivis said, the amount of methanol in our drinks is insanely small.

Sadly GCSE's don't really mean a lot these days. I've known people with A in GCSE English who couldn't put a paragraph together.
