Today I send my gf to the store to buy some black&white colors for my printer. But she came back without it, the guy who helped her told her that they needed the printers number first... So my question is - How do I know what colors I need for my printer? And where can i find said number?

Is it still bad/dangerous for my eyes if I use the laptop for a good period of time, even if there's good lighting in the room? I mean, every time I pick up my laptop I make sure I turned the lights on so I won't be sitting in the dark with the only light source that 'hits' my eyes is my laptop.

It's not incredibly harmful, but it's still worse for you than looking at a display in proper lighting. When you're in a dark room, your pupils have to constantly dilate and constrict to adapt to the different lighting conditons (the display and the room). I guess at worse it'll just result in sore muscle?

I asked my Eye doctor the same thing as i am on my computer most of the day for work and he told me that as long as i'm not in a completely dark room, Looking at a computer monitor for hours on end is more or less no difference than looking out your window for hours.

There is evidence to suggest that not going out into the sunlight enough causes short-sightedness, but looking at a computer screen or TV for prolonged periods in itself does not do much damage other than eyestrain.

 

This is particularly a problem in rapidly developed countries where a preceding generation spent a lot of time outside, but suddenly everyone stopped going outside and studied/went on the computer instead. In China previous generations have had a 20% incidence of myopia while around 80%+ of today's children are affected.

Is there a way that I can legally purchase an MP3 song that is only available in another country? In particular I'm looking for a song that appears to only be available in Germany. I've read that you cannot even access international iTunes stores without creating an account with an address linked there, but I was able to view the song on Amazon.de by logging on with my US Amazon account. I'm able to hear the preview, it's the correct song, and I'm able to go through with the purchase until... it says I need a German bank account to purchase it (according to Google translate). Figures, but I thought it was worth a try.

 

I can get a low quality rip of the song from YouTube, and I'm thinking I could purchase the hard copy of the CD from the German Amazon and pay $20 shipping, but is there any way I can download the MP3? I'm guessing no due to endless copyright problems, but I just wanted to check if anyone here had knowledge about that.

I practically use my laptop most of the day for work, gaming, etc... and their is always adequate lighting in such room. It's on max brightness as well. You shouldn't be having any issues with damaging your eyes. If you like turning off all the lights and do your work/whatever you intend on doing, then I would recommended not using it for long, or turning down the brightness if it's absolutely necessary. As others have said using a device such as your laptop makes our eyes have to constrict and adapt towards such condition. But with precautions you seem to be taking, there shouldn't be any issue. Like I said previously, I use my laptop most of the time and I have perfectly fine 20/20 vision.
