Are there ammo rounds out there deadlier than a R.I.P round?

Huh? I understand that you can get shot by a small caliber round and easily survive, but isn't almost every traditional bullet designed to be 'deadly'? Deadlier than deadly sounds pretty harsh. :)

It's called overkill.

Look at all the shootings that occur in Chicago, Illinois. They seem to take proud themselves in how many bodies they are going to catch. If those down "with the sh*ts" started to use grade ammo like that im pretty sure they will get there act together.

The Dedito Gae

My nose has been bleeding every morning for about three weeks. I googled it and they say it's nothing to worry about and to put vaseline in your nose. I did that, as uncomfortable as it is, but my nose will still not stop gushing out blood every morning. I haven't been ill for several weeks before it started, and I feel fine otherwise.

Ugh, I don't know if I should go to my doctor, I hate doctors. Anybody have a clue?

In my expert opinion, it must be super-ebola.

Trust me, i have 2 PHDs.

Anyone knows what genre is this song?:

Meant to write "down with the sh*ts". Im just using Chiraq as an example of how a bad situation could get worse . Despite all the shootings, there are plenty survivors, I doubt this would be the case with that grade ammo.ballistic-gel.png

Yes, judging from your picture just about any of them.

It is from a a gun site, so an ISP block would make sense, since you're usually at work while perusing gtaf, IIRC. Anyways, it's just a pumpkin with some holes in it, you aint missin much.

Also, we can't agree on anything, ya f*ckin trekkie!

Think whoever designed that suffered from a massive terminal ballistics fail.

The human body is basically fluid-filled. Small wound cavities basically contract after a projectile has passed through them. This is bad (or good, if you're the one being shot). There are three typical ways that a bullet will be successful in immobilising a target- one is to create the largest possible wound channel. This is the main reason behind expanding bullets. One is to hit a major organ- this required skill or luck on the part of the shooter. The last is to use a mechanism called hydrostatic shock, where the force of the projectile creates remote wounding by creating a huge peak pressure wave that travels through fluid to the vital organs.

I see a number of problems with your pumpkin popper:

1) The actual bullet mass is very small. The ability of a bullet to incapacitate a target is typically a product of velocity, mass and frontal area. A small mass is suboptimal because there is typically a "sweet spot" for a particular cartridge which balances mass with velocity (all else being equal, the heavier the bullet, the slower it will travel). Lower mass means lower penetration, which means less likelihood of hitting a vital organ and less likelihood of causing hydrostatic shock.

2) The bullet shape will produce huge amounts of drag, resulting in a far quicker drop in velocity once leaving the barrel. A hollow-point is just that; typically, they aren't hollow through basically the entire length of the thing. This also creates potential problems with structural rigidity- I wouldn't be surprised if the rifling forces of a barrel were enough to shear off the prongs of that design, which could only really be mitigated by making it out of a harder metal. Which in turn will wear barrels out faster. Bullets, even traditional expanding ones are ogive or spitzer shaped for a reason. Expansion is usually better than fragmentation; fragmentation is used in certain military bullets because expansion is illegal under the Hague Convention.

3) The shape of the prongs is really poor design. With an expanding bullet you want to optimise the distance that any shrapnel travels through the body- it needs to be a large enough distance to create a wound channel but no large as the force that should be getting distributed into the surrounding tissue is wasted propelling the shrapnel out the other side. As counterintuitive as it seems, small-caliber projectiles often just go straight through people without causing any immobilising injury. Looking at your pumpkin, the central mass of the bullet produces a reasonably decent wound channel but unless any of those shrapnel bits hit an organ they're really not going to contribute much. A standard expanding bullet would create a far more significant wound- for instance, see below on the right, which is the result of shooting a pumpkin with a 9mm Federal Hydra-Shok:

2v99nvd.jpg

The one on the left, which is a non-expanding 9mm FMJ, looks to produce a more substantial exit wound than the R.I.P does.

It's one small hole and five tiny holes. That's not actually very impressive on any level, it actually demonstrates the problem with the slug because it falls apart.

You don't want it to seperate, you want one large, flattened mass which creates the most hydrostatic shock. If they fall apart, it represents a failure because those little slivers do very little on their own, and certainly provide less brute force which is what shuts down the system and stops a threat.

If you split into 6+ pieces, you have that much less mass going into your target, which means it goes that much less and does that much less damage. If you really wanted to have a frangible bullet, Glaser's Blue Tip "Safety Slugs" have had that market cornered for the last 35 years, and do a far better job with the marketing, as well.

"He loaded his gun with deadly R.I.P. ammo and stalked that man to kill him" sounds scary versus "he loaded his gun with deadly Safety Slugs and stalked that man..." That would also be the reason Winchester Black Talons were discontinued under pressure and were replaced with Winchester Ranger SXT, functionally the exact same slug but a vast difference in perception.

Anyways, on topic of actual performance, you want things that look like these when you pull them out, not a collection of fragments.

nKXfXoO.jpg

Edit: I see Sivivifisinpsicncin and I basically said the exact same thing. Basically, you found something that's marketed to sound deadly versus something that actually is.

It's fairly generic heavy metal with some extra noodling.

Consider Buckethead if this is your thing.

Do girls get put off by a foot fetish ?

I'm pretty sure there are girls out there with foot fetishes, so it depends.

Yeah, much too broad of a question to answer accurately. Best thing is to just be honest and open about it. If something so minor will put someone off you forever, then it would have been unfruitful anyway.

If your partner does not like your fetish for whatever, don't practice your fetish with the partner.

Find someone solely for that fetish and cheat on your partner. But only with foot stuff. Or whatever.

Obviously.

Would it be cheating if he finds work as a masseuse?

If he gains sexual pleasure from it (and/or provides happy endings), then yes, but only if his girlfriend is NOT okay with him finding an outlet for his fetish that she does not like. Like open relationships and such.

Ideally, his girlfriend wouldn't know about his masseuse job, so she doesn't have to worry about him splooging on feet at work.
