I slept in one when my wife and I visited her parents. I know they are hell on my back. And the movement when your sleeping with someone else in the bed is kind of annoying! I have heard that there is a lot of up keep compared to a traditional mattress.

Why are a lot of cars from the 90s and early-00s so cheaply built? That's not to say all of them are poorly manufactured, but a good majority of them seem to be. Rattly/loose interiors, delamination, peeling paint, defective parts, etc.

If someone owns a waterbed then chances are they also drive a garishly coloured VW Beetle and live in a tiny apartment with a massive dalmatian they call "stripes". Nobody has any business having one. I've only known one person with a waterbed, and she was called Scottish Lynn. She was mad as a box of frogs, I went swimming with her one time when I was little and she turned up in a cow patterned swimsuit and nearly f*cking drowned me.

I love your passion, but damn you really are trying to make me feel bad for wanting to get one. Living in a tiny apartment and owning VW is not a bad thing in my book.. You are literally sleeping on water though, not many individuals can say that. The gentle motion of water beneath you as lay your head to rest must be a relaxing feeling. Popping is really the only big negative I've heard. Also some say they take a lot of up keep, but I don't know how.

I think it has to do with "polite" as in "it's not polite to call him a wheelchair-laden spastic". But considering that, wouldn't it be call "politely correct"? That's how I always looked at it at least.

i once moved into a place that had a waterbed, kinda knew the guy and he couldn't be bothered emptying and moving it and so said if i wanted it i could have it.. pretty sure he mentioned something about the water needing to be conditioned or something and some other stuff needed for it's upkeep, but i never did any of those things (not high on my list of priorities at the time, it was more of a party house) and when i moved out i gave it to the next person and said the same thing haha it was pretty comfy

my guess is that it has something to do with politicians needing/wanting to please/not piss off the majority of people/voters in an attempt to stay in/get power so they can continue to do their job/f*ck with us

I heard from a few former moderators it's pretty loose. They say they're gonna buckle down and start being legit and then the next day nothing.

 

I believe Tank founded the forums.
