used it on my own initiative...how could I possibly be hurt?

Well use your own initiative to drink half a bottle of vodka, go down to a club, find a girl and kiss her. And before you say it's not like buying something off Amazon and how it's not that easy, it isn't that easy, it's easier. You have to find your card and type all the stuff in. In a club situation you just need to go up to a girl and do the bob and sway, if she rejects you move on, treat it like a game, that makes it easier.

And I'm not even some Alpha-male type guy. I'm quite average and it worked when I used to do it.

I've never been to a club before, but I've seen characters go to clubs and stuff. I've seen it, the loud music and the dim lights and the skimpy outfits. However, I thought kissing a random girl at the club will get you slapped by her, beat up by her guy friends, and then kicked out by the bouncer and possibly face legal problems with sexual assault. I do not want that.

But if you say it is really that easy, and that it worked for you even though you are average...then sure I'll check it out. I'll head to reddit and ask for tips on how to go to clubs and such. Might turn it into an odyssey. A big epic adventure.

I think you may have chosen to ignore the 'if she rejects you move on' - this was the most important part

Man, I thought I was bad with women.

This is just... tragic.

Bordeus, the club scene isn't for everyone (certainly isn't for me). There are other ways to meet girls. Why not join a society/club at university when the new term starts? Surely your university will have a gaming society or something, and if no girls are members you're bound to make friends with people who know some girls. Before you know it you'll all be out on a post-skrim pub crawl and you'll have the opportunity to get to know some girls.

I know in Japan there are guys who basically dedicate themselves to not being in relationships, they're called herbivores I think

Unless that is a metaphorical allegory for their non-pursuit of desires of the flesh that is a quite peculiar name for them to give themselves, and I am guessing you might just have the wrong word. A hedonist perhaps, would pursue the perceived advantages without the need for commitment or compromise, and high levels of control, and as such might eschew traditional relationship archetypes.

According to Fukasawa, sōshoku danshi are "not without romantic relationships, but have a non-assertive, indifferent attitude towards desire of flesh" [nailed it ;) ]. Later, philosopher Masahiro Morioka redefined sōshoku-kei danshi as men who are "the nice guys of a new generation who do not aggressively seek meat, but instead prefer to eat grass side by side with the opposite gender."[11]

I was a bit off, but yeah, the subculture(??) exists.

OT: Is there an easy/quick way to check whether a number is prime without a computer?

You could always print off a list of primes up to a certain number and carry the list around with you. Memorise the list and you'll be a real hit at the next faculty meeting.

@ Dark Bordeus - your solution

-snip-

I don't even get this meme. I am not gay so how is that a solution for me. I could understand that if it was a picture of something to do with brothels, it'd be a solution for my problem. But the navy seems of little relevance.

Quick question I have for you guys, since this seems like the easiest place to get a quick solid answer. Anyway, my buddy has a ps4, I still have a ps3 since I'm too stubborn to fork out over $300 bucks. Is there anyway I can sign in to my psn account on his ps4? I would like be able to access my gta online character on his ps4 when im over at his place. Thanks in advance.

I know this is opinion-based, but it's still a question, and one with an answer I'm curious about.

How do you think the Israel-Palestine conflict should be resolved?

They will kill each other until both parts have the balls (and the anger) to stop it in the name of their children.

Just kidding, modern globalization will slowly eat them until they forget the values of their own cultures and religions, then the only thing they will remember is that they hate each other and will continue to attempt to destroy each other until one or both sides f*cks up really bad (nuclearly bad perhaps) and then they will be brought together by the tragedy and ignore the fact that one of them caused it because thats how human nature works. And then they will try to build a future together awww.

Is there a general rule as to what settings (low, med, high, etc.) you can play a game at if you match the recommended system requirements?

I'm relatively new to PC gaming, and the recommended system requirements for GTA V are the first ones to have caught up with my current build's specs. The recommended specs ask for a GTX 660 2GB, 8GB of RAM, and an i5-3470 @ 3.2GHz, and my PC has a GTX 670 2GB, 8GB of RAM, and an i5-3570k @ 3.4GHz.

I don't know about a 'General Rule' per say, but you can try the game at the lowest settings, then gradually work your way up to ones you are comfortable with.

No general or unwritten rules really, but if I met the Recommended Specs I'd expect to be able to play at High at least, perhaps not Ultra or completely maxed out. Depends a lot on the game though, I think most games have some excessive demands with some extra margin in them printed on the cover. I've been able to play games just fine even if I was below some of the minimum or recommended specs. Then there are games that go the other way. GTA IV was so horribly optimized when it came to PC that hardly anyone could play it, no matter what computer they had. We'll have to wait and see if Rockstar has done a better job this time round...

I'd expect to play on medium with some setting on high, but I mostly do what PhillBellic said. I start on low and I go up to the sky. Some people are comfortable playing with a bad quality but good performance, others the opposite.

@Puffy: there are some algorithms you can use easily, but those aren't really quik to be honest lol.

If you built the fastest racing car on land, one that negates all rules and regulations, what would that car look like, and how would it perform?

Why am I not capable of deep thinking anymore? I used to interested in stuff like philosophy (existentialism, presentism, etc.) and have had many existential crises. But suddenly I feel dumber after communicating with 'dumb' people. I've become much more accepting with stupid trends than I used to. I no longer can think about the universe deeply anymore. What gives?
