Now the whole dating scene doesn't make sense to me, I mean for awhile I thought the dating scene was subject to social Marxism

 

Uh, what?

Some guy told me that the concept of applying social darwinism , natural selection to dating was like because of "social Marxism" or something to do with Marxism.

 

 

He probably said 'cultural Marxism'. Sounds like a delusional MRA type that thinks he's entitled to a woman's body just because he exists, and fails to recognize that Marxism is opposed to social Darwinism anyway. Either way, that notion is absolutely ridiculous.

Probably cliche to say, but everyone has something to offer... not necesarilly looks or even good conversation. People just like to have people around sometimes. Those guys should either be making friends or hanging out in more open circles, e: if they aren't with someone and want to be, read the question wrong.

Not really. I know plenty of not-so-good-looking dudes who have girlfriends. If you're clever, funny, witty or enthusiastic you should have plenty of shots at having a girlfriend, despite your looks. Conversely, I also know some good-looking but socially awkward guys. Most people have some sort of appealing character trait, and there's bound to be someone who is drawn to that aspect of their character.

Believe it or not, there are still charming, interesting, intelligent girls out there who aren't totally shallow. Plus, saying those guys haven't got very much too offer is very reductive if not totally superficial. Almost everyone's got something to offer, usually on a deeper level than appearance or wealth.

 

I understand you've had bad experiences with getting "switched" in the past, but given your ex-girlfriends' attitudes, I think you should just be grateful they're out of your life.

Well, they obviously have something to offer if their partner stays with them, whether it be emotional stability, a good personality, a nice dong, or whatever else. It's not like every woman wants the same thing out of a partner.

If you're using Windows, right-click the audio control button and choose the option to open the mixer. There it should display any audio being played. If not go to control panel and see if anything weird is active.

 

Otherwise it's an easter gift from george lucas.

Open Task Manager, go to Processes, and see if any video player is running. If not, restart that sh*t.

Here's some for beginners (no idea of your skill level):

If you rent skates, try to get ice hockey skates

If you rent skates, get them 2 sizes under your shoe size (they must be a tight fit).

If you use free style skates (has the serrated part in the front), avoid that at all costs if you're not great at skating; youll just face plant

If you rollerskate or rollerblade, its that on ice

Dont hug the wall too much; everyone does it so you arent going anywhere

dont skate in the opposite direction unless you want to crash

Be mindful of the douchey little kids that cut in front of everyone and be prepared for them to crash right in front of you

Be mindful of the skaters that go 25632563 mph, they may also crash into you

If you fall, get up quickly

If you see someone fall that you know, feel free to point and laugh

If the place doesnt Zamboni the place at all, its gonna suck

Dont lean back unless you want to fall

Can someone explain to me how my Samsung ativ book 4 was able to run skyrim at 30 fps, far cry 3 at 28ish fps, but can't run minecraft with a realistic texture pack and shaders? Are shaders really that demanding? I mean it's just minecraft come on.

 

Also when I build my rig , does 30 GB sound good enough if I want plan to do a lot of demanding things? Like mixing music , 512 texture packs, 120 fps etc.

What's a good way to pick a major?

 

I hear many people say you should go for a STEM major because of the job growth and attractive salary prospects, but for some reason I just can't picture myself in those sectors. A few are at least interesting to me, such as structural or electrical engineering, but they're math-heavy and I am horrible with math.

 

To be honest, the only thing I'm told I'm good at is writing, but Journalism is a very popular major and the career prospects are dim. Creative Writing, something that actually does interest me, is unfortunately another garbage major. It's honestly getting to the point where I just want to say "f*ck it", finish getting my Associates Degree and then learning a trade.

 

Ideally, I'd like a career where I can actually work with my hands (I do not want a desk job) and keep chit-chat with other people to a minimum. I'm fine with work-related discussions with bosses and co-workers, but I want minimal interaction with customers (individual clients for private work projects are fine) and the general public. I'd sooner die than be a salesman.

 

Any suggestions?

There are two types of jobs available in the U.S. High-tech and service. Former is all math heavy, and you basically need a master's in a STEM field to qualify. So unless you want to get over it and get good at mathematics by putting a lot of work into it, the best you can possibly ever hope for is management. And that means you will have to go through customer service or HR. Either way, it means working with people.

 

Or you can write. Which, with a lot of work, you can make a living from. Just about.
