Where can I buy a Galaxy S5 battery?

From da shop. :pp

On topic, try a mobile phone repair shop. I sourced a new battery for an old phone of mine a year ago from there.

There's no mobile phone repair shop near me. Edited by LightningLord411

There's no mobile phone repair shop near me.

Are there any mobile phone repair chain stores in the US? You could try their online store for new batteries.

Does the cost of living in an area affect orders made online?

Depending on how far you live from a major population center/where you live, yes it can affect the price. This can include things like freight, for example.

Get a GreenDot Pre-Paid Credit Card add $40 to it and than buy the battery

Raavi, on a serious note, you seem like a nice guy from what I've been able to read for all this time, please stay away from that fake ''admin badassery'' you just pulled on El Tigre chino or whatever, you don't need that. You could've easily just written ''No.'' instead of posing with a question to a question.

On a more serious note, is there any way to make sure you get your money back in case your package purchased on EBay doesn't get to your destination?

I would be against taking up a job unless it was necessary (i.e. you cannot afford to stay studying without it).

For a minimum wage job you can earn about £50 ($75) a day, so £100 ($150) a weekend. That adds up to around £3,000 ($4,500) assuming you are in university for 30 weeks of the year. Also, you may have to deduct uniform, tax and travel expenses from this to get a true picture of the actual 'profit.'

To put that in perspective, if the job interferes with your studies, you could do down a degree class. The difference between a 1st class and a 2:1 class graduate's starting salaries are arguably more than the money made from the part-time job (and/or a higher degree class will get you a job sooner meaning you start earning proper money sooner). And the risk of falling from a 2:1 to a 2:2 degree class can be the difference between not finding a graduate job or not at all (my friend went to a top university but couldn't get job interviews for many months because many companies automatically filter applications by degree classification).

I'm not sure what country you're from, but I imagine similar classifications and employer requirements will apply everywhere.

If you want work experience to put on your CV, do it during holiday periods or take an undergraduate internship which will give you more relevant exposure employers will find much more appealing. The reference you will get from most minimum wage jobs is "John Smith worked from 10th January 2015 to 23rd August 2015" so the value it adds to your reputation is not much more than a tickbox to say "this person is capable of doing a job."

the catch22 with that in america, is a lot of companies will not hire you with out any experience. or if they do you will be vastly underpaid.

That's just a fancy buzzword for people who try and find excuses to not look for a job. Don't have experience? Make them yourself. Show off your schoolwork in job applications, do projects at home, make something out of yourself, anything just so you don't stagnate. A lot of low end jobs don't even require past work experience, you don't need experience to work at an assembly line or fill up shelves in a supermarket or work at the bottom at your local construction company.

Can I make a topic on <thing>?

For future reference, I've seen it said a few times that if you're asking whether you can make a topic or not, you shouldn't make that topic.

no actually its pretty much truth these days. I am speaking from the hiring side of many companies. I can tell you, no one cares about your school work on your job application. A lot of low end jobs, you are making low end money. a lot of jobs you want with degree's you want a high end money. no one is going to give you high end money with out any type of experience, that is just fact.

They're led-bys, not moderators. Similar, but with less powers.

Well no sh*t, do you expect 6 figures right after graduation? Everyone starts at the bottom, but that wasnt even the point of my post. If you don't have experience you're just yourself to blame for not taking the initiative

You're not. There are quite a few entry level opportunities in the field of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, though I'd say a Master's degree is advisable. There is of course no guarantee you can start working for your country's Foreign Affairs Ministry straight after uni but there are also other opportunities in the field and outside of it. Think NGOs, IGOs, law, journalism or even business.

What?

Taking initiative does not apply when an entry level job requires X years of experience in that specific job.

1. Raavi is a Moderator which means he has the ability to ban people not just admins.

2. You can request that the sender purchases insurance at an extra cost to you or you can add insurance once you are given the tracking number

It does if you have anything worthwile to show. The arbitrary number of years is just that, a number with which you're supposed to prove your experience and expertise in that particular field. If you can prove it in any other way that number doesn't mean anything, the same way a college degree doesn't Edited by dice

Well, my plan is to become a diplomat after college, but it's a pretty specific field and there are fewer than 400 active Portuguese diplomats...

I've seen the diplomacy exams, though, and I feel like I could pass pretty comfortably. The government just requires you to have a degree (in whatever field), so I was planning on studying either Poli Sci or IR in college. Which of these courses do you think is better for my goal, Raavi?

The point is it doesn't apply across the board. More so in white collar jobs. And doubly so when employers can afford to be picky.

Considering the amount of work they do, I'd say yes,

But yeah, not as much power as the general moderators.

I'd say International Relations would be the best route, it's a much broader course and as the name would suggest it's internationally orientated covering topics such as global governance, international economics etc making it directly relevant to diplomacy. I'd also argue it's infinitely more interesting, but that's of course subjective.
