I'm not sure about the rest, but as far as eye contact, a trick I've learned is don't actually look people in the eye. Look between two people that are sitting close to each other, each one of those people will think you are looking at the other. Look at their forehead and if you are more than a few feet away from them they will think you actually are looking them in the eye.

My composite score (the overall score) was 30 out of 36. Keep in my mind it's a high school level test, and I'm in 7th grade.

How long a period of time are we talking? Some of the ex-Soviet/Warsaw Pact states have changed hands five or so times in the last 70-odd years; somewhere like Bosnia for instance. You've also got to remember that ~200 years ago, most countries didn't exist in the form the currently do. If you take into account all the states and sub-states that Italy has been made up of over the last millennium or so, it's been invaded a huge number of times.

 

Since 1878 Bosnia has gone:

 

Ottoman

Austro-Hungarian

Yugoslavia (Kingdom)

Nazi Croatia

SFR Yugoslavia (Soviet puppet state)

FR Yugoslavia

Republika Srpska

Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Since the beginning of record keeping. I would even go as far as BC.

I would start looking at some of the oldest countries such as Egypt, Iraq or Israel/Canaan.

Then you start tunning into issues with countries not being countries anymore. Like, none of Europe existing as true sovereign nations. Or everything being part of huge empires. Or a lack of records due to places like Jerusalem being razed to the ground every few decades.

What's the best way to eliminate or at least dampen speaker anxiety? I have a 6 to 8 minute speech coming up on Thursday and I'm a wreck on the inside. I can't stand eye contact and one of the requirements is looking out at the audience for at least 80% of the speech's duration. I think my biggest concern is boring people, because if I notice that I've essentially failed and my self-confidence hits rock bottom.

Just know that sh*t inside-out. If you have just ONE good experience with public speaking, the stage fright will be gone completely*.

So I just realized that there won't be enough space at my house for the car I want from this junk yard. The garage is full, I can't put it on the driveway, and the backyard is a no go. I tried looking up places that have storage units but the monthly fee is too much. (My only money source is allowance.) Now I don't know what to do. Any ideas on where I can put the car?

Well, I can forget about the car. I found out today that it has almost no parts in it. It's trash.

All the other cars were in great condition, though.

A few weeks ago, I took the ACT. Today, my scores came in. Overall, I scored better than roughly 90 percent of people in America who took the test. Keeping in mind that I'm in 7th grade, and this is a high school level test, do you guys think I did well on this test?

What I hear is the s6 won't be as great, especially since there will be 2 versions now.
